Description

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a vertically long article having a vertically long main body such as a sanitary napkin and an adhesive application portion formed on one surface side of the main body.

Conventionally, absorbent articles such as sanitary napkins, panty liners, and incontinence pads are formed in a vertically long shape, and the absorbent article is placed on the clothing contact surface side (non-skin contact surface side) such as shorts. An adhesive part for fixing to the underwear is provided. The adhesive portion is usually covered with a sheet-like member such as a packaging material or a release sheet for individually packaging the absorbent article. When the absorbent article is used, one end in the longitudinal direction of the sheet-like member is picked with a finger. It is exposed and used by peeling along the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article.

However, the adhesive constituting the adhesive portion has, for example, an adhesive application portion extending in the width direction orthogonal to the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article, and a plurality of the adhesive application portions with a predetermined interval in the longitudinal direction. When the sheet-like member covering the entire adhesive part is peeled along the longitudinal direction of the absorbent article as described above when applied in the arranged application pattern, the adhesive application part and the sheet form The member is intermittently peeled off, and peeling sound is generated by the intermittent peeling. In a scene where the absorbent article is used, for example, when exchanging a sanitary napkin in a toilet or a changing room, there may be a case where the sound of peeling off the napkin from shorts is heard in the surroundings and the peeling sound may be annoying.

According to the study by the present inventors, such peeling sound can be reduced by applying the adhesive constituting the adhesive portion in a coating pattern parallel to the peeling direction of the packaging material or the release sheet. all right. That is, the adhesive has “an adhesive application portion 12 extending in the longitudinal direction L of the absorbent article 1 (a sanitary napkin in FIG. 3), and the adhesive application portion 12 has a width orthogonal to the longitudinal direction L. Applying with a plurality of application patterns (four in FIG. 3) arranged at predetermined intervals in the direction S is effective in reducing peeling sound. This application pattern is intended to prevent the above-described intermittent peeling by continuously forming the adhesive application part 12 along the peeling direction of the sheet-like member (longitudinal direction L of the napkin 1). .

Conventionally, as described above, when an adhesive application portion extending in the longitudinal direction of an article is to be formed on the surface of the longitudinal article, as shown in FIG. In the state where the adhesive application section 12 extending in the longitudinal direction L is formed by applying the adhesive to the application means 90 and applying the adhesive with the application means 90 while maintaining the transport direction (for example, Patent Document 1). Patent Document 2 discloses a method for producing an absorbent article (sanitary napkin) employing such an adhesive application method. Specifically, a longitudinal napkin is transported in the longitudinal direction thereof. 3 and the napkin is folded in three with the transport direction maintained, and an adhesive is applied via a hot melt film to form an adhesive application pattern as shown in FIG.

However, an adhesive application method as shown in FIG. 12, that is, an application method for applying an adhesive by supplying a longitudinal article, which is an adhesive application object, to the adhesive application means with its longitudinal direction as the transport direction, Since the longitudinal direction of the vertically long article is set as the conveying direction, the production line becomes long, and there is a problem that it takes time to manufacture the final product (the article having the adhesive application portion formed on the vertically long article).

The present invention relates to a vertically long article having a vertically formed main body and a plurality of adhesive application portions formed on one side of the main body and extending in the longitudinal direction of the main body and arranged in parallel in the width direction of the main body. In the manufacturing method, the main body transported with the longitudinal direction as the transport direction is rotated by 90 degrees with respect to the transport direction, and the width direction is transported to the adhesive application portion forming means, and the bonding is performed. The object is achieved by providing a method for manufacturing a vertically long article in which a plurality of the adhesive application portions are sequentially formed from one side portion in the width direction of the main body to the other side portion by an agent application portion forming means. When the sheet-like member 2 is peeled off, a plurality of adhesive application portions 12, 12... Are formed in a specific pattern as shown in FIG. Since the adhesive is applied so that a plurality of application parts 12, 12... Of the adhesive extending in the longitudinal direction L of 11 and arranged in parallel in the width direction S of the main body 11 are formed. The peeling sound is effectively reduced. Next, the napkin 1 is fixed on the crotch portion of the shorts through the plurality of adhesive application portions 12, 12. In this way, the napkin 1 can be used by being attached to the underwear.

Next, 1st Embodiment of the manufacturing method of the vertical article of this invention is described, referring drawings based on the manufacturing method of the napkin 1 (vertical article) mentioned above.
4A shows a schematic process diagram of the manufacturing method according to the first embodiment of the present invention, and FIG. 4B shows (1) to (4) shown in FIG. 4A. A plan view of the intermediate product in each is shown.

In the manufacturing method according to the first embodiment, as means for forming the plurality of adhesive application portions 12, 12... Described above on the main body 11, an adhesive application portion forming means indicated by reference numeral 30 in FIG. The adhesive application part forming unit 30 includes a conveying unit (not shown) that conveys a long sheet-like member 2 ′ whose one surface has been peeled, and an adhesive on the peeling-treated surface 2 a ′ of the sheet-like member 2 ′. An adhesive application means 40 for applying B and a pair of pressure rolls 70 and 70 are provided.

FIG. 5 is a schematic view (cross-sectional view) showing an example of the adhesive application unit 40. The adhesive application means 40 shown in FIG. 5 is a so-called rotary screen type application device, and an application roll 41 that comes into contact with the peeling surface 2a ′ of the long sheet-like member 2 ′ when the adhesive B is applied. The backup roll 42 that supports the outer surface of the sheet-like member 2 ′ opposite to the separation surface 2a ′, and the sheet-like member before entering the backup roll 42 on the upstream side of the conveyed sheet-like member 2 ′ And an expander roll 43 that prevents wrinkles at 2 ′. Each of the coating roll 41, the backup roll 42, and the expander roll 43 is formed of a cylindrical member and rotates around an axis.

The coating roll 41 forms a roll peripheral surface (outer circumferential surface) of the coating roll 41, and discharges an adhesive B from a screen mask 44 having an annular cross-sectional shape, an annular support frame 45 that supports the screen mask 44. A nozzle 46 for adjusting the pressure of the nozzle 46 against the screen mask 44, and a pump 49 for supplying the adhesive 46 to the nozzle 46 via a pipe 48.

As shown in FIG. 6, an adhesive supply portion 44 a extending in the axial direction A of the application roll 41 (perpendicular to the paper surface in FIG. 5) is provided on the peripheral surface of the application roll 41. A plurality are formed along R. In the first embodiment, a plurality of apertures 44 a as adhesive supply portions are formed in the screen mask 44 that forms the roll peripheral surface of the application roll 41. The adhesive B discharged from the nozzle 46 passes through the opening 44 a and is applied to the sheet-like member 2 ′, thereby forming the adhesive application portion 12 on the main body 11. Therefore, the shape of the adhesive application part 12 is determined by the shape of the opening 44a. In the first embodiment, the opening 44 a (adhesive supply part 44 a) has an elongated rectangular shape, and has the same shape as the adhesive application part 12 formed on the main body 11.

The plurality of apertures 44a, 44a,... Formed in the screen mask 44 are formed by applying an adhesive B applied to one main body 11 (forming a plurality of adhesive application portions 12, 12,... A pattern B1 corresponding to (pattern) is formed as a pattern B2 formed by a plurality at predetermined intervals along the circumferential direction R of the coating roll 41. A plurality of apertures (adhesive supply parts) 44a, 44a... Are formed in such a pattern B2, so that the adhesive is applied to the release treatment surface 2a ′ of the sheet-like member 2 ′ when the adhesive B is applied. B is the same pattern as the pattern B2, that is, a direction in which a plurality of application portions of the adhesive B extending in the width direction of the sheet-like member 2 ′ are orthogonal to the width direction (the longitudinal direction of the sheet-like member 2 ′) Alternatively, the coating is applied in a coating pattern arranged at a predetermined interval in the transport direction).

The pair of pressure rolls 70, 70 pressurizes a laminated body formed by superimposing the main body 11 and the long sheet-like member 2 ′ via the application part of the adhesive B, and the main body 11 and the sheet-like form are pressed. The member 2 'is pressure-bonded. The pressure roll 70 is configured by, for example, covering the outer periphery of a metal roll made of cylindrical steel or the like with a resin layer made of silicon rubber or the like, and is rotated around an axis by a driving device (not shown). . The interval between the pair of pressure rolls 70 can be arbitrarily set, and the pressure (nip pressure) on the laminate is adjusted by adjusting the interval.

In the manufacturing method according to the first embodiment, as shown in FIG. 4, first, the direction changing device 20 uses a separately formed vertically long main body 11 as a transport direction by a transport means (not shown). To supply. The main body 11 can be manufactured according to a conventional method using the above-described top sheet 13, back sheet 14, and absorber 15.

Next, the main body 11 that has been transported with the longitudinal direction L as the transport direction is rotated 90 degrees with respect to the transport direction by the direction changing device 20, and the width direction S is defined as the transport direction to the adhesive application unit forming means 30. Supply. In the adhesive application part forming means 30, the pair of pressure rolls 70 are pressed by the pressure roll 70 near the direction changing device 20 of the pair of pressure rolls 70 and 70 while the main body 11 maintains the conveying direction. , 70.

On the other hand, when the adhesive application part forming unit 30 is operated in accordance with the conveyance of the main body 11, the long sheet-like member 2 ′ is pulled toward the pair of pressure rolls 70 and 70 by the conveyance unit (not shown). The coating roll 41 (screen mask 44) of the adhesive coating means 40 is rotated in the circumferential direction by a driving device (not shown). By pulling the sheet-like member 2 ′, the sheet-like member 2 ′ is continuously drawn out, and the sheet-like member 2 ′ passes through the outer periphery of the expander roll 43 and sequentially moves to the outer periphery of the backup roll 42. . With this movement, the expander roll 43 and the backup roll 42 also rotate.

The adhesive B is supplied to the sheet-like member 2 ′ from the adhesive supply section (open hole) 44a in a state where the application roll 41 is rotated in the circumferential direction and brought into contact with the sheet-like member 2 ′ being conveyed. By doing so, this adhesive B is apply | coated to this sheet-like member 2 'by the said application | coating pattern B2. In this way, the adhesive B is applied in a predetermined application pattern to the peeling surface 2a 'of the sheet-like member 2' being conveyed by the adhesive application means 40. The long sheet-like member 2 ′ is sequentially conveyed between the pair of pressure rolls 70 and 70 from the portion where the adhesive B is applied.

Next, the main body 11 and the sheet-like member 2 ′ are overlapped with each other between the pair of pressure rolls 70, 70 in a state where the application part of the adhesive B of the sheet-like member 2 ′ is opposed to the main body 11. By passing through the nip portion, the adhesive B applied to the sheet-like member 2 ′ is transferred to the main body 11. The nip pressure, the nip width, and the passage speed of the sheet-like member 2 ′ (main body 11) at this time may be appropriately adjusted according to the adhesive B, the type of the main body 11, and the like, but are not particularly limited. In the first embodiment for producing a sanitary napkin, the nip width is preferably 1 to 15 mm, more preferably 2 to 12 mm, and the nip pressure is preferably 1 to 20 kN / m, more preferably 2 to 10 kN / m. The passing speed is preferably 15 to 200 m / min, more preferably 60 to 150 m / min. In this way, the adhesive application part forming means 30 allows the plurality of adhesive application parts 12, 12... To be one side in the width direction of the main body 11 (a pair of pressure rolls 70, The napkin 1 (longitudinal article) having a main body 11 and a plurality of adhesive application parts 12, 12... Is formed in order from the side part first passing between 70) to the other side part.

1st Embodiment is equipped with the process of folding the main body 11 in which the some adhesive application part 12,12 ... was formed so that a crease might be attached to the width direction. In this folding step, the main body 11 is folded by a known folding device (not shown) so that a crease is formed in the width direction. Specifically, from the unfolded state as shown in FIG. 2 (however, the tab tape 3 does not exist before the folding), as shown in FIG. 7, the main body 11 (napkin 1) together with the sheet-like member 2, The main body 11 is folded in three on the surface sheet 13 side so that a crease X is formed in the width direction. In the first embodiment, the folding step is performed before the long sheet-like member 2 ′ is cut for each unit of the napkin 1, and the folding step is performed for each unit of the napkin as shown in FIG. However, the folding method in the first embodiment is substantially the same as that shown in FIG.

Next, in a long sheet-like member 2 ′ in a folded state in this way, a predetermined joining position (not shown) such as embossing is provided at a predetermined position located outward in the width direction from both side edges of the main body 11 (napkin 1). )). As a result, the sealed side portions 2a, 2a of the sheet-like member 2 in the individually packaged product 10 are formed (see FIG. 1). Next, the edge in the width direction of the folded sheet-like member 2 ′ is fastened with a tab tape 3 that is cut into a predetermined length from a tape roll (not shown) and supplied.

Next, the long sheet-like member 2 ′ is cut along the width direction of the sheet-like member 2 ′ for each unit of the napkin 1 by a known cutting device (not shown). Thereby, the individual package 10 of the napkin 1 as shown in FIG. 1 is obtained.

According to the manufacturing method of the vertically long article (sanitary napkin) of the first embodiment, the adhesive body application means forming means for forming the main body 11 that is the object to be applied with the adhesive in the longitudinal direction with the width direction S as the transport direction. The adhesive application part forming means 30 sequentially forms a plurality of adhesive application parts 12, 12... From one side in the width direction of the main body 11 toward the other side. Therefore, the production line can be shortened and the production time can be increased as compared with the case where the longitudinally long main body 11 is formed with a plurality of adhesive application portions 12, 12. Thus, a vertically long article can be produced efficiently in a shorter time. Moreover, according to the manufacturing method of the vertically long article of 1st Embodiment, since the installation (production line) for implementing this manufacturing method may be short, the space-saving at a manufacturing site can be achieved.

Hereinafter, other embodiment of the manufacturing method of the vertical article of the present invention is described. In the following embodiments, components that are different from the manufacturing method of the first embodiment described above will be mainly described, and similar components will be denoted by the same reference numerals and description thereof will be omitted. The description of the manufacturing method of the first embodiment is appropriately applied to components that are not particularly described.

FIG. 8 shows a schematic diagram (cross-sectional view) of the adhesive application means 40 used in the manufacturing method of the second embodiment of the present invention. The adhesive application means 40 of the second embodiment shown in FIG. 8 is a so-called gravure type application device, and is disposed below the application roll 41 in addition to the application roll 41, the backup roll 42 and the expander roll 43. A gravure roll 51 dipped in a coating solution (adhesive B) in a liquid pan 50 and a blade 52 are provided. The application roll 41 of the second embodiment is formed of a metal cylindrical member and rotates around an axis. A plurality of grooves (not shown) as adhesive supply portions extending in the axial direction of the coating roll 41 are formed on the roll peripheral surface (outer circumferential surface) of the coating roll 41 of the second embodiment. The formation pattern of this some groove part is the same as the formation pattern of the some opening 44a, 44a ... in the application roll 41 of 1st Embodiment shown in FIG. At the time of application of the adhesive B, the coating liquid of the adhesive B applied from the liquid supply pan 50 to the application roll 41 via the gravure roll 51 is scraped off by the blade 52 and then backed up. It is applied to a long sheet-like member 2 ′ that travels together with 42. Thus, the adhesive B is applied by the adhesive application means 40 to the peeling-treated surface 2a ′ of the sheet-like member 2 ′ being conveyed in the predetermined application pattern described above.
The same effect as that of the first embodiment described above can be obtained by the method for manufacturing a vertically long article according to the second embodiment.

FIG. 9 shows a schematic view (cross-sectional view) of the adhesive application means 40 used in the manufacturing method of the third embodiment of the present invention. The adhesive application means 40 of the third embodiment shown in FIG. 9 is a so-called die coater type application device, and includes a die coater 60 in addition to the backup roll 42 and the expander roll 43. The die coater 60 includes a discharge port 61 having a shape corresponding to the shape of the adhesive application part 12 formed in the main body 11. That is, the discharge port 61 has an elongated rectangular shape as shown in FIG. 10, and has the same shape as the adhesive application portion 12 formed in the main body 11.

A pocket 62 and a slot 63 are formed inside the die coater 60. The pocket 62 is a reservoir space for the coating liquid (adhesive B) extended with the cross-sectional shape in the width direction of the die coater 60 (width direction of the sheet-like member 2 ′ being conveyed), and the effective extension length ( The length of the pocket 62 in the direction parallel to the width direction of the die coater 60) is usually adjusted to be equal to or slightly longer than the coating width. The supply of the coating liquid to the pocket 62 is performed by a supply pump (not shown) from a supply tank (not shown) for storing the coating liquid. The slot 63 is a flow path of the coating liquid from the pocket 62 to the sheet-like member 2 ′ that is an object to be coated.

In the third embodiment, when the adhesive B is applied, as shown in FIG. 9, the longitudinal direction of the discharge port 61 (perpendicular to the paper surface) and the width direction of the sheet-like member 2 ′ being conveyed (perpendicular to the paper surface). ), The adhesive B is intermittently discharged from the discharge port 61. The intermittent discharge of the adhesive can be performed, for example, by controlling the ON / OFF timing of a coating valve (not shown). A plurality of adhesive application portions 12, 12... Can be arranged at a predetermined interval in the width direction S of the main body 11 by intermittent discharge of the adhesive. Thus, the adhesive B is applied by the adhesive application means 40 to the peeling-treated surface 2a ′ of the sheet-like member 2 ′ being conveyed in the predetermined application pattern described above.
The same effect as that of the first embodiment described above can be obtained by the method for manufacturing a vertically long article according to the third embodiment. In particular, the third embodiment has an advantage that the range of control of the adhesive force is wide since the application amount of the adhesive can be changed without changing the machine parts as compared with the second embodiment. .

As mentioned above, although this invention was demonstrated based on the preferable embodiment, this invention is not restrict | limited to the said embodiment.
For example, in the above-described embodiment, the adhesive application portion 12 formed on the main body 11 has an elongated rectangular shape (a linear shape having a predetermined width), but the adhesive application portion 12 is the longitudinal length of the vertical main body 11. It only needs to be formed so as to extend in the direction L, and may have a shape as shown in FIGS. The shape of the adhesive application part 12 shown in FIG. 11 is dotted (A), staggered (B), wavy (C), trapezoid (D), triangular (E), and uneven (F). is there.

Moreover, in the said embodiment, although the sanitary napkin which is an absorptive article used by fixing to underwear was mentioned as one of the application examples of this invention, this invention is applicable similarly to other vertically long articles. For example, the present invention is also applied to panty liners, incontinence liners, incontinence pads, etc., which are absorbent articles that are used by being fixed to underwear like sanitary napkins, or thermal sheets in which a heat generating composition is enclosed in a packaging bag. it can. Examples of the thermal sheet include those described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2006-271963 according to the previous application of the present applicant.
