Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a fixing device and the like, and more particularly to a fixing device and the like used in an image forming apparatus.
2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, as a fixing device of an image forming apparatus, a two-roller fixing technique is known in which a sheet is nipped and conveyed by a nip formed by a fixing roller and a pressure roller, and toner on the sheet is heated and pressed to be fixed.
In recent years, a belt fixing device using a fixing belt on the side in contact with a toner image on a sheet has been devised, and for example, high speed processing of 250 mm / s or more is possible (see Patent Document 1).
Further, on the downstream side of the fixing nip of the belt fixing device, a fixing member (see Patent Document 2) or a small diameter roller (see Patent Document 3 and Patent Document 4) is brought into contact with the pressure roller from the back surface of the fixing belt. A method has been devised that facilitates sheet peeling by providing a second nip and increasing the curvature in the sheet discharge area.
By the way, in a fixing device using a fixing belt, a fixing member for forming a large curvature of the fixing belt may be provided at the exit portion of the nip portion as a mechanism for peeling the recording paper from the surface of the fixing belt.
When such a fixing member is provided, the fixing belt is fixed to the fixing belt in an intermediate nip region between the outlet portion of the nip portion where the fixing roller and the pressure roller are pressed against each other and the inlet portion where the peeling member is provided. It is pressed against the pressure roller only by the tension.
Therefore, the nip pressure in the middle nip region is relatively low. When the recording paper or toner is heated in such a low nip pressure region, the water in the recording paper is vaporized to become water vapor, or the air in the toner is thermally expanded. An air gap (bubble) may occur between the two.
When such an air gap occurs, in a state where the toner on the recording paper existing in the nip portion is not yet completely fixed, the unfixed toner is easily disturbed by the air gap moving around. As a result, there is a problem that image defects such as unevenness and misalignment are likely to occur in the fixed image.
The present invention has been made to solve such problems.
That is, an object of the present invention is to provide a fixing device capable of stably peeling recording paper from a belt member in a fixing technique using a belt member.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an image forming apparatus including a fixing device that maintains high fixing performance.
Thus, according to the present invention, there is provided a fixing device for fixing a toner image carried on a recording material, which includes a rotatable fixing roller, an endless fixing belt stretched around the fixing roller, and a fixing belt. The outer surface of the fixing belt is pressed in the vicinity of the pressure member that forms a nip portion through which the recording material passes, and the downstream side of the pressure contact portion between the fixing roller and the pressure member. A peeling member disposed so as to be pressed against the member, and a guide member that is attached to the peeling member and that is disposed in the vicinity of the peeling portion between the recording material discharged from the nip portion and the fixing belt and regulates the feeding path of the recording material A fixing device is provided.
Here, it is preferable that the guide member in the fixing device of the present invention is attached to the fixing roller so as to be swingable about the rotation axis of the fixing roller together with the peeling member.
Further, it is preferable that the guide member is disposed with a predetermined distance from the fixing belt.
Further, it is preferable that the guide member is formed so that a gap between the guide member and the peeling member in the fixing belt running region is opened at a predetermined interval by contacting the peeling member at a position outside the running region of the fixing belt.
Next, according to the present invention, there is provided a fixing device used in an image forming apparatus, wherein a fixing belt module in which a belt member is stretched by a fixing roller and a stretching roller, and the fixing roller is pressed via the belt member. The fixing belt module presses the fixing belt against the pressing member in the vicinity of the downstream side of the pressure contact portion between the fixing roller and the pressing member, and the recording material is transferred from the fixing belt to the fixing member. A peeling member for peeling, and a guide member that guides the traveling direction of the recording material peeled off from the fixing belt, the guide member integrally swingable with the peeling member, a fixing belt, and a predetermined belt There is provided a fixing device having a peeling baffle portion attached to the holder portion so as to be arranged with an interval of.
Here, it is preferable that the holder part and the peeling baffle part in the fixing device of the present invention are made of a material having substantially the same linear expansion coefficient. Thereby, the wavy phenomenon of the peeling baffle caused by the difference in expansion can be suppressed. Specifically, the holder portion is formed of a steel plate having a thickness of 1.2 mm to 2 mm, and the peeling baffle portion is formed of a leaf spring material having a thickness of 0.1 mm to 0.2 mm.
Further, it is preferable that at least the recording material guide surface side of the surface of the leaf spring material is covered with a fluororesin layer or a fluororesin film so that the toner hardly adheres.
It is preferable to provide an adjusting means for adjusting the distance between the tip of the peeling baffle portion and the fixing belt at least one of the peeling baffle portion and the holder portion or between the holder portion and the peeling member. Accordingly, it is possible to peel the thin paper by setting the gap between the peeling baffle and the fixing belt at a distance of 0.3 mm to 0.5 mm at the position where the peeling portion curvature radius of the peeling member is formed.
According to the present invention, there is provided an image forming apparatus that forms an image on a recording material, the image forming apparatus including a fixing device that fixes toner on the recording material, the fixing device including a rotatable fixing roller, An endless fixing belt stretched around the fixing roller, a pressure member that rotates while pressing the fixing roller via the fixing belt, and forms a nip portion through which the recording material passes; a fixing roller and a pressure member; A separation member disposed so as to press the outer surface of the fixing belt against the pressure member, a recording material attached to the separation member, and discharged from the nip portion; There is provided an image forming apparatus including a guide member that is disposed in the vicinity of the peeling portion and regulates a recording material feeding path.
According to the fixing device to which the present invention is applied, the recording paper can be stably peeled from the belt member.
Hereinafter, the best mode (embodiment) for carrying out the present invention will be described. Also, the drawings used are used to describe the present embodiment and do not represent the actual size.

Next, a basic image forming process of the image forming apparatus according to the present embodiment will be described. In the image forming apparatus according to the present embodiment, image data is output from an image reading apparatus (IIT) (not shown) or the like. The image data is subjected to predetermined image processing by an image processing device (IPS) (not shown), converted into color material gradation data of four colors Y, M, C, and K, and output to the
The

Next, the fixing
FIG. 2 is a cross-sectional view showing a schematic configuration of the fixing
The fixing
Further, the fixing
The fixing
The fixing
Fixing
In addition, the
Furthermore, the
The
Furthermore, the fixing
Next, the nip portion N where the fixing
FIG. 3 is a schematic cross-sectional view showing the vicinity region of the nip portion N. In the nip portion N, the
Here, in the fixing
Further, in the vicinity of the downstream side of the roller nip portion N1, a
The
As a result, the sheet is peeled from the fixing
As shown in FIG. 3, when the peeling pad nip portion N2 is formed continuously to the roller nip portion N1, the region where the
The nip pressure in the boundary region N2S (hereinafter, the nip pressure in the boundary region N2S is referred to as Pn) is formed only by the tension of the fixing
In the fixing process by the fixing
In the fixing
For this reason, bubbles that have been suppressed at the roller nip portion N1 are generated in the boundary region N2S, and the phenomenon of moving around on the surface of the paper can be suppressed, and a toner image that has not yet been completely solidified can be obtained. Disturbance is almost eliminated and the occurrence of image defects can be suppressed.
Further, the
In the present embodiment, the
Further, the angle α of the

Further, in the

As shown in FIG. 4, both ends of the
Here, the support member (swing member) 68 is a sheet metal having a thickness of 2 mm, and is formed in a substantially U-shape with one open, and a fitting formed in an arc shape at a substantially central portion thereof. A
Further, as shown in FIG. 4, both ends of the

FIG. 5 is a side view of the fixing
Further, as shown in FIG. 4, in this embodiment, the
The
As described above, the
Even when the swing center of the
