Description

TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a covering material made of a thermoplastic synthetic resin film provided with a quarter-arc-shaped fusing portion at four corners, and a method for manufacturing the same.

Conventionally, as a covering material such as a book cover or a product packaging bag, a material manufactured from a raw film of a thermoplastic synthetic resin by a so-called side seal method has been widely used. However, the covering material manufactured by the conventional side seal method has the following problems.

That is, when a book cover is manufactured by the side seal method, for example, in the first step of the manufacturing line, both sides of the original film are folded inward while continuously feeding the original film of thermoplastic synthetic resin. In the next step, since the original film with both side edges folded is intermittently fed and melted in the transverse direction (perpendicular to the feeding direction) at a constant pitch, the book cover to be manufactured has four corners. There was a risk of injury to the fingertip due to the corner becoming squared at right angles. Further, the product packaging bag manufactured from the raw film by the side seal method has a risk of injury to the fingertip because the corners of the four corners are squared as in the above case.

Therefore, a covering material in which a quadrant arc-shaped rounded portion is formed at the corners of the four corners has been developed, but all the conventional covering materials having rounded corners at the four corners are different from the side seal method. There has been no actual example of manufacturing a covering material having rounded corners at the four corners on the manufacturing line by the side seal method, and such a case is also found in prior art literature search by the applicant. It has not been possible to find a prior art document relating to an enveloping material in which a rounded portion is formed on a production line using a side seal method.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention has been made under the above circumstances, and the problem to be solved is a production line of the side seal method. The present invention is to provide a method for producing a covering material capable of continuously and efficiently mass-producing a covering material having the above and a covering material manufactured by this manufacturing method.

In order to solve the above problems, a method for manufacturing a covering material according to the present invention includes a film folding step of folding both side edges of an original film inward while continuously feeding an original film made of a thermoplastic synthetic resin, A first fusing step of fusing both ends of the original film into a valley shape with both oblique sides projecting into a semicircular arc shape at a predetermined pitch while intermittently feeding the original film with both side edges folded; And a second fusing step of fusing the raw film in the transverse direction along a line connecting the bottoms of the opposite valley fusing portions on both sides of the original film. is there.

The covering material according to the present invention folds both side edges of a raw film made of a thermoplastic synthetic resin inward, and projects both side edges of the raw film at a predetermined pitch with both hypotenuses in a quadrant shape. Folded into a curved valley, along the line connecting the bottoms of the opposite valley shaped melted portions on both sides, this film is melted in the transverse direction. A covering material provided.

One of the typical examples of the covering material is a portion where the both side edges of the original film are folded inward to be a pocket portion into which a book cover is inserted, and is used as a book cover. The other is that the width of the opposite side edge of the original film folded inward is larger than the width of one side edge of the original film folded inward, and the core material is sandwiched between the folded portions of the one side edge. The portion that is inserted and folded on the opposite side edge becomes a bag portion for putting a product, and is used as a product packaging bag.

The method of manufacturing a covering material according to the present invention includes a film folding step, a first fusing step, and a second fusing step on a side seal method production line, and the film is continuously fed in the film folding step. Fold both side edges inward, and then, in the first fusing process, feed both sides of the original film at a predetermined pitch and both oblique sides in quarters while intermittently feeding the original film with both side edges folded. In the second fusing step, the raw film is cut in the transverse direction along a line connecting the bottoms of the opposite valley fusing parts on both sides of the original film in the second fusing process. Since fusing is performed, it is possible to efficiently mass-produce a covering material provided with four quarter-arc shaped fusing portions (R-shaped portions) at the four corners.

Since the covering material of the present invention obtained by the manufacturing method of the present invention is provided with the quarter-arc-shaped fusing part (the round part) at the four corners as described above, the covering material obtained by the conventional side seal method is used. The risk of injury to the fingertips can be eliminated by the four corners that are squared at right angles. Therefore, it is extremely effective when manufacturing the book cover and the product packaging bag, which are representative examples of the covering material.

Hereinafter, specific embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings.

FIG. 1 is an explanatory view of a film folding process in a method for manufacturing a covering material according to an embodiment of the present invention, FIG. 2 is an explanatory view of a first fusing process in the manufacturing method, and FIG. 3 is a second view in the manufacturing method. FIG. 4 is a perspective view of the covering material (book cover) of the present invention obtained by the manufacturing method, and FIG. 5 is a cross-sectional view taken along line AA of the covering material (book cover). .

This method of manufacturing a covering material shows an embodiment of manufacturing the book cover illustrated in FIGS. 4 and 5 as the covering material. In the manufacturing line, the film folding process, The fusing process and the second fusing process are incorporated.

In the first film folding step, as shown in FIG. 1, while feeding the raw film 1 continuously, both side edges 1a and 1a are folded inward by an automatic folding device (not shown). Alternatively, the one side edge 1a may be first folded with a triangular plate (not shown) and then folded inward with a folding device. When manufacturing a book cover as in this embodiment, the widths of both side edges 1a, 1a folded inward are preferably the same. As the raw film 1, colorless and transparent, colorless translucent, colored opaque and colored translucent original films made of thermoplastic resins are used. Among them, polyethylene, polypropylene, etc., which have excellent fusing properties, are used. A raw film made of an olefin resin is particularly preferably used.

The original fabric film 1 having both side edges 1a, 1a folded inward is temporarily relaxed and retained in the adjusted relaxation region, and is intermittently sent to the next first fusing process at a predetermined pitch. In this first fusing process, as shown in FIG. 2, a pair of left and right sides of the raw film 1 with both side edges 1a and 1a folded inward are moved up and down with valley-shaped heater blades 2a. The first fusing devices 2 and 2 are fused into a valley shape whose both hypotenuses are curved in a semicircular arc shape, and the valley-shaped fusing portions 1 b and 1 b are formed at both ends of the original film 1 at a predetermined pitch P.

The raw film 1 on which the valley-shaped melted portions 1b, 1b are formed is intermittently placed in a second melt-cutting process at a predetermined pitch P. And in this 2nd fusing process, as shown in Drawing 3, with the 2nd fusing device 3 which moves up and down provided with a straight heater blade, trough-shaped fusing part 1b opposite to both sides of original film 1 The original fabric film 1 is melted in the transverse direction along a line 1c connecting the bottoms of 1b, and the target book cover (covering material) 10 is efficiently manufactured.

The book cover 10 (wrapping material) obtained by the above manufacturing method is formed by folding both side edges 1a, 1a of the original film 1 inward, with a predetermined pitch P on both side edges, and both oblique sides in a quadrant shape. This is formed by forming convex valley-shaped melted portions 1b, 1b and melting the raw film 1 in the transverse direction along a line 1c connecting the bottoms of the opposed valley-shaped melted portions 1b, 1b. As shown in FIG. 4, since the four-corner arc-shaped fusing part (R-shaped part) 1d is provided at the four corners, the fingertips are held at the four corners of the corner like the book cover obtained by the conventional side seal method. There is no risk of injury, and a portion where both side edges 1a, 1a of the original film 1 are folded inward is used as a pocket portion 1e into which a book cover is inserted.

FIG. 6 is a front view of another covering material of the present invention, FIG. 7 is a cross-sectional view taken along the line BB of the covering material, and FIG. 8 is an explanatory view of a method for manufacturing the covering material.

The wrapping material 11 of this embodiment shows a product packaging bag, and is based on the folding width of one side edge 1k (upper edge in FIG. 7) of the original film 1 folded inward (lower side in FIG. 7). In addition, the folding width of the opposite edge 1f8 (lower edge in FIG. 7) of the original film 1 folded inward (upward in FIG. 7) is larger. A core material 4 is sandwiched between the folded portions of the one side edge 1k (upper side edge), and a release paper 1j covering the adhesive 1m is overlaid on the lower surface of the one side edge 1k. And this one side edge 1k is welded with the raw film 1 of the back surface by the welding part 1h between the core material 4 and the release paper 1j.

At the four corners of the product packaging bag 11 (wrapping material), as in the case of the book cover 10 described above, quarter-arc-shaped fusing portions (R-shaped portions) 1 d are formed so as not to injure the fingertips. And both sides of the one side edge 1k (upper edge) folded downward and both sides of the opposite side edge 1f (lower edge) folded upward are sealed at the same time as cutting. The part which folded the opposite side edge 1f (lower side edge) and sealed both sides is the bag part 1g which puts a goods. However, both sides of the one side edge 1k (upper edge) are sealed by fusing at the portion where the core material 4 is inserted, but are not sealed at the portion where the release paper 1j is overlapped on the back surface, so this one side edge 1k which is not sealed. The lower part of the (upper edge) is turned up so that the product can be put in the bag portion 1g. Moreover, a hole 1i is formed in a folded portion of one side edge 1k (upper side edge) with the core material 4 interposed therebetween. When this hole 1i is passed through a support bar of a product display shelf, the product packaging bag 11 can be easily It can be hung to display.

When such a product packaging bag 11 is manufactured by the manufacturing method of the present invention, in the film folding step, when one side edge 1k of the original film is narrowed and the opposite side edge 1f is widened and folded inward, Insert the core 4 and the release paper 1j with the adhesive 1m into the folded part of the edge 1k in succession, and feed the one side edge 1k with the intermediate weld 1h before feeding it to the first fusing process. Weld with film 1. In the first fusing step, the both sides of the raw film are melted at a predetermined pitch into a valley shape with both oblique sides projecting into a semicircular arc to form a valley-shaped fusing portion 1b, and the second fusing In the process, as shown in FIG. 8, the second film cutting device 3 may be blown in the transverse direction along a line 1 c connecting the bottoms of the opposite valley fusing portions 1 b, 1 b on both sides of the raw film 1. . The hole 1i may be formed in the folded portion of the one side edge 1k with the core material 4 interposed therebetween before the first fusing step or after the second fusing step.

Although the book cover 10 and the product packaging bag 11 have been described above as examples of the covering material and the manufacturing method thereof, the present invention is not limited to the book cover 10 and the product packaging bag 11, It is applied to all of various types of enveloping materials manufactured by the sealing method.
