Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pillow capable of simply changing the height of a necessary part and stably keeping a shape and height which can maintain a comfortable sleeping state, and to provide a particulate filler for the pillow which is suitable for the pillow.
SOLUTION: As a particulate shape for filling the pillow, a polyhedral particle which has a triangle in any of the faces is adopted. Its material is preferably a paulownia. That is, a three-dimensional pillow P is filled with a particulate filler 1 in a cloth flexible bag 2 and, as the particulate filler 1, adopts filler comprising one or more kind of polyhedral particle selected between a regular tetrahedron, a triangular prism, and a square pyramid. Fluidity of the particulate filler 11 temporarily stops when a head is put on the pillow, holds a stable pillow shape, and the filler particles can again flow when vibration and the like is added from a horizontal direction. Thus, it is possible to change the height or shape of a part of or the whole of the pillow P into a shape and height which can maintain a comfortable sleeping state by a conscious or unconscious change of positions.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT

Description

The present invention relates to a pillow and a particulate filler for a pillow that can be stabilized by placing a part of a body such as a head as bedding or a cushion.

In general, as a material to be filled inside a pillow bag, which is a kind of bedding, buckwheat husk, chips cut resin pipes, charcoal grains, resin grains, beans, plant seeds, bamboo and wood chips and other particulate fillers The bag is made of a cloth-like or net-like flexible material (see, for example, Patent Document 1).

As the shape of the pillow for the pillow filling material, a spherical shape, a cylindrical shape, a columnar shape, or the like is often employed so as to have some fluidity in the bag (see Patent Document 2).

The pillow filled with the particulate filler in the bag described above allows the particulate filler to flow along the pressure contact surface so that the pressure received by the head when the person sleeps is small, and therefore the pressure receiving area is wide. Thus, the burden on the skin is lightened, and the air permeability can be secured so that the body temperature does not fall in the pillow due to the shape of the particles.

In addition, pillows that support not only the head but also a part of the body such as the neck, that is, the neck, are preferred, and pillows that can also be adjusted in height are known. For example, to protect the cervical vertebrae by combining parts that are partly divided into bag-like units so that the neck can be supported at an appropriate height when lying on its back and also when lying on its side. There is a suitable pillow (see Patent Document 3).

However, the conventional pillows described above are designed on the assumption that the sides or the peripheral edge of the pillow are always used when taking a horizontal posture when sleeping in a person. The height of the part to be used with the part is merely formed higher than the center of the pillow.

By the way, if you carefully observe the posture change operation of a human at bedtime, it is rare to move the head to both sides or the peripheral part of the pillow and change it to a sideways posture, and the position where the back of the head is put on the center part of the pillow It is recognized that there are many cases in which the head is placed sideways at the same position without changing the head on the pillow, and the center of the pillow is as much as possible even after it is turned sideways. It was confirmed that movements such as pushing the side of the pillow with your hands or shoulders were performed unconsciously so as to increase the height.

If it is assumed that such a posture change operation is performed at bedtime, it is necessary to adjust the height of the center of the pillow appropriately. However, with pillows filled with conventional pipe pieces or red beans, It is not possible to adjust the height of the main part of the device and stabilize it for a sufficient time so that the state can be rested. That is, even if the filling in the pillow can be temporarily gathered and partially raised, it will be lowered in a short time due to the fluidity of the filling, and the comfortable shape will be lost in a short time, eventually The problem is that they cannot sleep.

Therefore, the object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems and to easily set the height of the necessary part of the pillow according to the necessity at bedtime or according to unconscious posture change operation or individual physique. A pillow that can be changed in height and that can maintain a comfortable sleeping state and a stable shape and height, and a particulate filler for a pillow suitable for the pillow.

Moreover, in order to improve the comfort of sleeping in a sleeping state, it is to be able to employ a more appropriate material as the above-mentioned particulate filler for pillows.

In order to solve the above-described problems, in the present invention, a pillow is formed by filling a particulate filler in a cloth-like or net-like bag, and the particulate filler is a kind selected from a tetrahedron, a triangular prism, and a pyramid. What consists mainly of the above polyhedral particle | grains was employ | adopted.

When the pillow according to the present invention configured as described above is swung (vibrated) in the horizontal direction by hand, or grabbed by hand from the outside, the particulate filler flows in the bag, and the shape of the pillow The height can be changed freely.

In addition, the pillow of the present invention is placed on a futon, mattress or floor, and when a gentle load is applied with the head or arms of the body placed on the pillow, The particulate filler is aligned with the apex facing down, and the top surface under load becomes hard as if pressed.

At this time, the particulate filler inside the pillow is such that the particulate filler with the top facing downward and the particulate filler with the top facing each other are pressed by the load so that the slopes engage like wedges, and there are few gaps between the particles It is in a state that can not flow.

In particular, the surface of the pillow that is loaded with a part of the body such as the head is leveled so that the contact area with the body (pressure-receiving area with respect to the head) is increased. The smoothed surface can comfortably support the head and cervical spine.

Next, if an impact force or a horizontal force or vibration is applied to the pillow as necessary, the alignment of the filler particles collapses, and the pillow flows in a random state. Set is possible.

In short, a group of filler particles that have been put together in a stable and aligned state will maintain the required shape of the pillow stably when a load is applied with little fluidity, but if a vibration such as a horizontal swing or impact is applied, The filler particles are released from the aligned state and begin to flow again, and the shape of the pillow can be changed.
The inventor of the present application has found that the above-described effects are exerted in a predetermined type of polyhedral particles having a triangular surface, and such effects are more effective than any other particle shape. The present invention has been found out and completed.

As the particulate filler for a pillow whose height can be adjusted as appropriate, one having a size of 1 mm to 10 mm per side is appropriate as the predetermined polyhedral particle. Once the pillow is filled in a flexible bag, it is fluid due to a small external pressure from one side. A pillow that can be stabilized at an appropriate height even in a posture in which the back of the head is placed on the side and in a posture in which the head is placed sideways.

Moreover, when paulownia is used as the material for the polyhedral particles, this material has the effect of stabilizing and calming the mind by the divergence of the contained components, and has been found to be suitable for sleep. In addition, paulownia has excellent insecticidal effects because it contains tannin and substances that keep insects away (such as Paulonin and Sesamin) in addition to being flexible and suitable for elasticity and heat insulation. Yes.

Since this invention is a pillow in which a particulate filler mainly composed of one or more polyhedral particles selected from a tetrahedron, a triangular prism, and a pyramid is filled in a bag such as a cloth, the fluidity of the particulate filler is a head. At this time, the shape of the pillow is temporarily stopped and a stable pillow shape is maintained. When vibration is applied from the horizontal direction, the filler particles can flow again. Therefore, there is an advantage that the height or shape of a part or the whole of the pillow can be easily changed to a shape and height that can maintain a comfortable sleeping state by conscious or unconscious posture changing operation.

Moreover, by using polyhedral particles made of paulownia as the particulate filler for the pillow,
The material is hygienic because of its insect repellent properties, etc., and also has a calming effect, so that there is an advantage that the comfort of sleeping in the sleeping state is further improved.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the accompanying drawings.
As shown in FIG. 1, the pillow P according to the embodiment is a pillow in which an appropriate amount of a particulate filler 1 is filled in a cloth-like flexible bag 2, and the particulate filler 1 is a polyhedral particle made of a triangular prism. The thing which is is adopted. That is, in order to easily adjust the height of the pillow more easily during bedtime or lower, polyhedral particles having triangles on either side are adopted as the particle shape to be filled in the pillow.

The bag 2 is a flexible bag formed from a sheet-like material such as cotton or synthetic fiber cloth or net, and a pillow bag that is normally used in accordance with the body part to be supported can be used. A pillow cover or the like may be used as appropriate.

As a support target part of the body of the pillow of the present invention, in addition to the head, neck, arms, shoulders, feet, or the like, or a half body such as a body pillow, if it is a pillow that supports these, A pillow having a fixed shape or a foldable shape, or a pillow having an indefinite shape that can be expanded and contracted using an elastic bag is also included in the concept of the pillow of the present invention.

If the particulate filler 1 is a polyhedron having one side of about 1 mm to 10 mm and having a triangle on either side, fluidity and stability are preferable, and those having a size of 2 mm to 6 mm are the same for the same reason. More preferably, the thickness is 3 to 5 mm.
As shown in FIG. 2 (a), for example, the particulate filler 1a having a triangular prism such as a regular triangle having a side of 5 to 7 mm as an end face and a triangular prism having a height of 3 to 5 mm is easy to manufacture. However, it is suitable as an example of the particulate filler 1 used in the present invention.

Moreover, as shown in FIG.2 (b), as a form of the other particulate filler 1b, the thing of a tetrahedron, especially a regular tetrahedron shape may be sufficient. In this case, the size of the tetrahedral particles is preferably 1 mm to 10 mm per side because of good fluidity.

Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 2C, a regular pyramid 1c as an example of a pyramid (a solid whose base is a polygon with respect to one vertex), other quadrangular pyramids, or many other well-known shapes. A pyramid can also be employed as the particulate filler.

When the particulate filler 1a shown in FIG. 3 is pressed or vibrated from a random direction in the filled bag 2, the side walls of the triangular prisms are in contact with each other while sliding, and the state is changed from a solid line to a chain line. As a result, the particle population of the filler is reduced and stabilized.

In such a stabilization process, the entire surface of the aggregate of the two or more particulate fillers 1a in contact is fluidly deformed along the body shape such as the head on which it is placed, and finally the pressure receiving area of the pillow The required part of the upper surface of the pillow on which the head is placed becomes a comfortable surface with relatively little unevenness.

That is, once the filler particles that have been gathered and stabilized are less likely to flow easily, the shape of the stable pillow is maintained, and when vibrated, the filler particles rotate away from each other and become fluidized again.

It is considered that such a particulate filler 1 preferably adopts one type of form in order to stably obtain appropriate fluidity and shape retention with respect to a load during use. However, in order to respond to various personal preferences such as tactile sensation and pressure resistance during use, or to actively request irregularities in anticipation of acupressure effects, multiple types of polyhedral particles with different shapes It is also possible to use a mixture of a filler and a well-known pillow filler to such an extent that the effects of the present invention are not impaired.

The material of the particulate filler may be wood or resin that can be molded into a predetermined particle shape in order to obtain pillow height controllability with appropriate fluidity and pressure-resistant shape retention when they are pinched. However, in order to obtain a sufficient amount of calm sleep, among the types of wood, those that are polyhedral particles made of paulownia are particularly preferable.

A cocoon material exemplified as a contrasting wood in adopting paulownia wood can generate phytoncide containing hinokitiol, but it may be an activation or awakening action during sleep, and it is better to use paulownia wood It has confirmed that it has a calm sleep action and is more preferable.

As shown in FIG. 4, when using the pillow of the embodiment, first of all, by hand from the pillow placed on the bed or other bedding, a depression or flat surface for placing the head is formed. It is preferable to make preliminary adjustments according to individual differences.

Next, when sleeping on the back as shown in FIG. 5 or when lying on the side as shown in FIG. 6, the head is swung left and right while pressing the back head 3 and the temporal head 4 against the pillow P a little strongly. Then, the height of the pillow P can be lowered to a certain height.

Once the height is determined, a stable height is maintained for light movement while sleeping. However, if you lie down and change your posture, you can easily move the center of the pillow by pressing it from the side of the pillow P or by gently tapping it so that the pillow P is pulled toward the shoulder by hand. The height of the pillow can be lowered to a certain level by raising the head and shaking the head.

The fluidity temporarily stops at the time of subsequent use, and the pillow P maintains a stable shape and height that does not collapse, so that it is possible to maintain good sleeping comfort in the sleeping state.
