図1に示したような三方弁を有する設備を用いて、ポリプロピレンの粉粒体の空気輸送を行った。粉粒体の流路を図1(a)の状態から図1(b)の状態へ切替える操作を、ノズル4a、4bより空気による加圧をした状態と加圧をしない状態とでそれぞれ300回行い、円筒バルブ型三方弁の弁体の回転不良の発生回数を測定した。粉粒体の空送圧力は、約25KPaG、加圧用空気の圧力は700KPaGであった。測定結果を表1に示す。
この結果から、円筒バルブ型三方弁にノズル4a、4bを設け空気による加圧を行う事で、摺接部分への粉流体の噛み込みによる弁体の回転不良が非常に少ないことが分かった。
