上記実験例1において、電磁波を照射する前の生昆布と電磁波を照射した昆布を蓋付きの容器に夫々入れ、これらを冷蔵庫(庫内温度4℃)で1週間放置した。その結果、電磁波を照射していない生昆布は、腐敗してドロドロ状になったのに対し、電磁波を照射した昆布は、腐敗していなかった。また、電磁波を照射した昆布は、保存後も鮮やかな色を保っていた。
