Abstract
【課題】本発明は、光がパララックスバリアに透過される際に生じる輝度の損失を最小化するパララックスバリアとそれを用いる立体映像表示装置に関する。
【解決手段】本発明に係るパララックスバリアは、入射面と出射面とを有する透明基板;及び前記透明基板の入射面上に形成され、両側が傾斜する複数のガイドを備える。さらに、前記パララックスバリアを備えることを特徴とする立体映像表示装置を提供することにある。

Claims (15)
- 入射面と出射面とを有する透明基板;及び前記透明基板の入射面上に形成され、両側が傾斜する複数のガイドを備えて、前記ガイドにより光遮断部が形成され、前記ガイドの間の前記透明基板により光透過部が形成されることを特徴とするパララックスバリア。
- 前記ガイドのそれぞれは、前記透明基板の入射面から離れるほど、幅が狭くなることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパララックスバリア。
- 前記透明基板の入射面と出射面のそれぞれは平坦であることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパララックスバリア。
- 前記ガイドの側面は入射光が全反射する角度に傾斜することを特徴とする請求項3に記載のパララックスバリア。
- 前記ガイドの表面に形成された反射層を更に備えることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパララックスバリア。
- 前記ガイドの間から前記透明基板の平坦な入射面が露出されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパララックスバリア。
- 前記光遮断部と前記光透過部は交互配置されることを特徴とする請求項1に記載のパララックスバリア。
- 前記光遮断部の長さはN(Nは、2以上の整数)×前記光透過部の長さであることを特徴とする請求項7に記載のパララックスバリア。
- 表示装置;前記表示装置に光を照射するためのバックライトユニット;及び前記表示装置と前記バックライトユニットとの間に配置され、前記バックライトユニットと対向する入射面上で、両側面が傾斜する複数のガイドが形成されたパララックスバリアを備えて、前記パララックスバリアには前記ガイドにより光遮断部が形成され、前記ガイドの間に光透過部が形成されることを特徴とする立体映像表示装置。
- 前記ガイドのそれぞれは、前記バックライトユニットに近づくほど幅が狭くなることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の立体映像表示装置。
- 前記ガイドの側面は、前記バックライトユニットから入射される入射光が全反射する角度に傾斜することを特徴とする請求項10に記載の立体映像表示装置。
- 前記ガイドの表面に形成された反射層を更に備えることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の立体映像表示装置。
- 前記パララックスバリアは、平坦な入射面と平坦な出射面とを有し、前記ガイドが前記入射面上に形成される透明基板を更に備えることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の立体映像表示装置。
- 前記光遮断部と前記光透過部は交互配置されることを特徴とする請求項9に記載の立体映像表示装置。
- 前記光遮断部の長さはN(Nは、2以上の整数)×前記光透過部の長さであることを特徴とする請求項14に記載の立体映像表示装置。
