そして、上述の如き基本構成を有する従来の走馬灯は、電灯などの照明灯を点灯せしめて内筒内に光と熱を発生せしめ、発生した熱により内筒内に上昇気流を生起せしめると共に、上昇気流を順次羽根体に当てて排気せしめることにより内筒を回転作動せしめ、走馬絵を外筒に回転投影せしめるものである。
