Hereinafter, a video surveillance system according to an embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.
(First embodiment)

A video surveillance system according to a first embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIGS. 1 and 2A. In FIG. 1, when a user 1 monitors a child 7, a monitoring node 5 and a camera 6 connected by a wired LAN 8 from the center device 2 and a monitoring node 10 and a camera wirelessly connected by a wireless LAN device 3 are monitored. Monitor at 11 or 12.

2A, in the video monitoring system according to the present embodiment, when a user 201 monitors a child 202 with a personal computer 203 or a mobile phone 204, wired LAN monitoring nodes 310 and 310 including a camera server 311 and a camera 312 are provided. The wireless LAN monitoring node 320 to which the wireless LAN device 327 is connected and the center 100 which is the center of the monitoring system are connected to the Internet 110 by the router 101, and the center is connected to the WEB server 103 and the data server 104 by the HUB 102. , A wireless LAN device 105 and a network management device 106 are configured for a wireless LAN.

The operation of the video surveillance system configured as described above will be described with reference to FIGS.

First, in the operation as a basic monitoring system, a user connects to the WEB server 103 as shown in the operation flow of FIG. User information is registered in the data server 104, and a logged-in person can be confirmed. If there is no problem for the user, access to the camera server 311 where the child is present is permitted, and the camera server 311 is connected via the network via the WEB server 103. Since only one person can operate the camera 312 at the same time, the camera server 311 performs simple control right control. The control right is acquired when the camera control is performed, the control right is returned after the end of the control, and the camera cannot be controlled until another user releases the control right. After that, if there is a logout request, the connection between the user and the monitoring system is disconnected.

On the other hand, in the network management device 106, the communication status between the wireless LAN device 105 and the wireless LAN device 327 is changed to the wireless status (used channel, wireless modulation method, maximum connection speed, maximum retransmission) of each site as shown in the operation flow of FIG. Frequency, transmission power, reception sensitivity, packet loss rate, data error rate, etc.) are periodically acquired, such as every minute, and the current wireless status and past wireless status are stored in the network management device. For example, when the communication status NG and the network management apparatus determine that the communication status exceeds 10% when the packet loss rate exceeds 10%, the setting is changed to an appropriate setting. For example, the network management apparatus performs processing as much as possible in a communication state specified in advance, such as increasing the transmission power, increasing the maximum number of retransmissions, decreasing the maximum connection speed, changing the wireless modulation method, and changing the channel used.

According to the video monitoring system of the first embodiment of the present invention as described above, by providing a network management device in addition to the wireless LAN device, the network connection between the monitoring node and the center is made wireless, and the installation property is improved. In addition, in the case of a wireless LAN, it is possible to obtain an effect of enhancing the resistance against a deterioration in transmission quality and a failure that cannot be avoided.
(Second Embodiment)

Next, a video surveillance system according to a second embodiment of the present invention is shown in FIG. 2B. In FIG. 2B, a wireless LAN monitor device 107 having a function of checking the wireless status is added to the first embodiment of the present invention shown in FIG. 2A.

The operation of the video surveillance system configured as described above will be described with reference to FIGS. 3, 4, 5 and 6.

First, in the operation as the actual monitoring system, a user connects to the WEB server 103 as in the operation flow of FIG.

Also, the wireless LAN monitor device periodically collects the surrounding wireless LAN usage status, and for example, grasps and accumulates the reception level for each wireless LAN channel as shown in FIG.

At this time, the network management device determines the processing contents by associating the information of the wireless LAN monitor device with the wireless status data held by the network management device. If the reception level is constant and the packet loss rate is high when the past packet loss rate is not high, it is a propagation failure due to a temporary obstacle and no channel change is required. However, if a high-level wireless station not found in the past can be confirmed in the nearby wireless LAN channel, it is necessary to change the wireless LAN channel. In making the change, the average reception level of the corresponding channel and the upper and lower three channels is calculated from the current wireless LAN channel state of FIG. 5, and the lowest channel based on the average reception level as shown in the line graph of FIG. Is preferably selected.

As described above, according to the video monitoring system of the second embodiment of the present invention, the wireless LAN monitor device 107 is provided in the video monitoring system of the first embodiment of the present invention, so that the most when changing the wireless LAN channel. A good choice can be made and it can be determined whether the fault is a temporary fault or a fault that requires change.

In the above description, the example in which the line graph of FIG. 6 is configured with the average value of the corresponding channel and the upper and lower three channels has been described, but other calculation methods, for example, the sum value can be similarly implemented.

As described above, the video monitoring system according to the present invention provides a network management device in addition to a wireless LAN device, thereby making wireless the network connection between the monitoring node and the center and improving the installation property. As an image monitoring system or the like that has the effect of being able to enhance the resistance to deterioration of transmission quality and failures that cannot be avoided in the case of, and distributing images taken by a camera according to instructions from a terminal via a wired LAN or a wireless LAN network Useful.
