Search means for searching for a feature image of a person's face only for a scene image belonging to a search area corresponding to the predetermined area of the scene image captured on the imaging surface; and
The electronic camera according to claim 1, further comprising a stopping unit that stops the search process of the search unit when the predetermined condition is not satisfied.
