Description

The present invention relates to an optical cable stripping tool for stripping off a part of the coating of an optical cable in which a tension member line and a tear string are embedded in a sheath around a communication line, and exposing the tear string.

2. Description of the Related Art Conventionally, an optical cable in which a communication line is covered with rubber or the like involves an operation of stripping the covering and exposing the communication line in order to interconnect at a terminal portion or an intermediate portion. The work of stripping off the coating becomes more difficult as the diameter of the optical cable increases, and it is necessary to strip off the communication line without damaging it. In general, a dedicated stripping tool is prepared for each optical cable diameter and coating thickness. However, since a single stripping tool is required for each type of optical cable, multiple types of stripping tools are required to perform stripping work on multiple types of optical cables. There was an inconvenience of using tools. A stripping tool capable of handling a plurality of types of optical cables with a single stripping tool is desired, and a stripping tool capable of handling a plurality of types of optical cables as shown in FIG. 8 has been developed.

FIG. 8 shows a stripping tool corresponding to a plurality of types of optical cables 41. The X-axis direction support plate 30 that abuts one surface of the X-axis direction diameter of the optical cable 41 covering the communication line, and the X of the optical cable 41 are shown. Y-axis direction elastic support plate 31 that is in a state of being elastically biased to one surface of the Y-axis direction diameter orthogonal to the direction, an advancing / retreating shaft 32 that moves forward / backward in the X-axis direction, An X-axis elastic support plate 33 in contact with the other surface of the optical cable 41 in the X-axis direction diameter while being elastically biased; a Y-axis support plate 34 in contact with the other surface of the optical cable 41 in the Y-axis diameter; A peeling blade 35 configured to advance the blade edge to a position equal to or less than the thickness of the coating in a direction eccentric from the X-axis direction of the optical cable 41 by the advance movement of the advance / retreat shaft 32 is provided. Then, the stripping tool elastically clamps the optical cable 41 from two directions. When the stripping blade 35 enters the coating from the tangential direction and rotates around the optical cable 41 when sandwiched, the arcuate cutting edge of the stripping blade 35 is obtained. Therefore, the coating can be peeled off in a spiral manner, so that the coating can be peeled off stably without damaging the communication line of the optical cable 41 (see Patent Document 1).
JP 2004-79429 A

However, since the stripping tool according to the above-mentioned prior art is for stripping the coating from the optical cable while rotating it, it cannot be applied to the stripping for the optical cable in which the tension member wire and the tear string are embedded in the coating. It was. Moreover, when setting an optical cable to a peeling tool, it was necessary to retract the Y-axis direction elastic support plate 31, and the operation was complicated. Further, the conventional peeling tool has a complicated configuration, a large number of parts, and high cost.

In view of the above problems, the present invention can be applied to the stripping of an optical cable in which a tension member wire and a tear string are embedded in a sheath, and an optical cable of various diameters can be easily set, and moved in a straight line in the longitudinal direction of the optical cable. It is an object of the present invention to provide a peeling tool that can peel off a part of the coating without damaging the communication line and cover the tear string at a low cost.

In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention provides an optical cable stripping method in which a portion of the coating of an optical cable in which a tension member wire and a tear string are embedded in a coating around a communication line is stripped to expose the tear string. In the tool, a tool body having a U-shaped cross section having a top wall, a side wall, and a bottom wall, and provided on the top wall of the tool body, the tool body is moved along the axial direction of the optical cable. Canna blade that peels off a part and exposes the tear string, cable holder having a substantially V-shaped holding groove for supporting the bottom of the optical cable, and between the cable holder and the bottom wall of the tool body And an urging means for urging the cable holder and elastically pressing the optical cable toward the top wall and the canner blade of the tool body, and the optical cable of the cable holder on the side wall of the tool body Axial movement of Characterized in that a guide portion for freely moving disjunctive direction towards Khanna blade while constraining.

According to the present invention, the optical cable is inserted from the gap between the top wall of the tool body and the cable holder and set in the tool body. At this time, the optical cable is pressed against the plane blade by the urging means via the cable holder. Then, when the tool body is moved linearly in the axial direction of the optical cable, a part of the coating of the optical cable can be peeled off by the canner blade to expose the tear cable of the optical cable.

According to the present invention, an optical cable can be easily set, and only a linear movement in the longitudinal direction of the optical cable can be performed, so that a part of the coating can be peeled off without damaging the communication line, and the tear string can be exposed. Tools can be provided at low cost.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to FIGS.

As shown in FIG. 6, the optical cable stripping tool 1 of this embodiment is configured to cover a part of the covering 3 of the optical cable 6 in which the tension member wire 4 and the tear string 5 are embedded in the covering 3 around the communication line 2. As shown in FIG. 6, the optical cable 6 is provided with a protective coating 3 around the communication line 2 in which a plurality of communication cables 11 are bundled, and the tension and mechanical strength of the optical cable 6 are further provided in the coating 3. A pair of tension member wires 4 for improvement and a pair of tear strings 5 for tearing the covering 3 are embedded. The tension member wires 4 and the tear strings 5 are alternately arranged at intervals of 90 ° in the circumferential direction. The cross-sectional shape of the optical cable 6 is formed in a substantially circular shape, and is covered slightly thickly at the portion where the tension member wire 4 is embedded. Thereby, from the appearance of the optical cable 6, it is possible to easily confirm the position where the tension member wire 4 is embedded in the thick part 12, and it is possible to confirm the position where the tear string 5 is embedded in the thin part 13.

The canna blade 7 is a metal flat blade, and as shown in FIG. 7, the optical cable peeling tool 1 is moved along the axial direction of the optical cable 6 to strip off a part of the coating 3. Can do. In addition, the long blade 14 (refer FIG. 3) for adjusting the advance position of the blade is provided in the canner blade 7.

As shown in FIG. 6, the cable holder 8 elastically presses the optical cable 6 toward the canner blade 7 to hold the optical cable 6 in a predetermined position. The cable holding body 8 is formed with a holding groove 15 having a substantially V-shaped cross section extending in the axial direction in order to hold the optical cable 6 securely. Further, a protruding portion 16 for inserting / removing the optical cable and a guide convex portion 17 are formed on the side portion so as to protrude sideways, and the bottom portion is a member for holding the upper portion of the urging means 9. A mating protrusion 18 is formed.

The urging means 9 is a coil spring disposed along the axial direction of the optical cable 6 in order to elastically press the cable holder 8 toward the canner blade 7, and along the axial direction of the optical cable 6. A plurality (three in the illustrated example) are arranged on the tool body 10.

The tool body 10 is formed in a U-shaped cross section having a top wall 51, a side wall 52, and a bottom wall 53, and the top wall 51 is provided with a canner blade attachment portion 19 for attaching the cana blade 7. The side wall 52 restrains the movement of the cable holding body 8 in the axial direction of the optical cable 6, and guides and supports the cable holding body 8 by allowing the cable holding body 8 to move freely in the contact / separation direction toward the cannula 7. A guide portion 20 is provided. Further, the bottom wall 53 is provided with a biasing means supporting portion 22 for supporting these on the side opposite to the side of the biasing means 9 that contacts the cable holder 8.

As shown in FIG. 3, the canna blade attaching portion 19 includes an inclined portion 23 for fixing the canna blade 7 at a predetermined inclination angle, an attaching screw 24, an attachment screw hole 25 formed in the inclined portion 23, The cover discharge hole 26 is configured. The cannula blade 7 is arranged on the inclined portion 23, and the mounting screw 24 is screwed into the mounting screw hole 25 through the long hole 14 of the cannula blade 7 with the cannula blade 7 protruding into the tool body 10 for a predetermined length. To fix. Position adjustment is possible by this attachment screw 24 and the long hole 14 formed in the canner blade 7, and the amount of the coating 3 can be adjusted.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 5, the guide portion 20 includes a guide convex portion 17 of the cable holder 8 and a guide hole portion 27 formed in the side wall 52 of the tool body 10 for inserting the guide convex portion 17. ing. This restrains the movement of the cable holding body 8 in the axial direction of the optical cable 6 and guides and supports the cable holding body 8 by allowing the cable holding body 8 to freely move in the contact / separation direction toward the canner blade 7. it can.

As shown in FIG. 6, the inner side surface 21 of the side wall 52 is in contact with the optical cable 6 as shown in FIG. 6, so that the horizontal position of the optical cable 6 can be regulated in cooperation with the holding groove 15.

The urging means support portion 22 is for holding the urging means 9 and is provided in the tool body 10 at three locations.

Then, the gap A (see FIG. 5) formed between the top wall 51 of the tool body 10 and the cable holder 8 is expanded by pushing down the overhanging piece 16, whereby the optical cable 6 is connected to the tool body 10. It is configured so that it can be inserted into and removed from the inside. Further, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 4, a wave-shaped grip 28 is formed on the top wall 51 and the bottom wall 53 of the tool body 10 in the axial direction of the optical cable 6. The main body 10 can be easily moved, and the skinning operation can be easily performed.

Next, operation | movement of the optical cable peeling tool 1 of this embodiment is demonstrated.

First, the overhanging piece 16 formed on the cable holding body 8 is pushed down against the biasing means 9. Then, in a state where the gap A formed between the top wall 51 of the tool body 10 and the cable holding body 8 is pushed and widened, the thin portion 13 (the position where the tear string 5 is embedded) of the optical cable 6 is attached to the canner blade 7. This is set in the holding groove 15 formed in the cable holding body 8 so as to face (see FIG. 6). Then, the cable holding body 8 holds the optical cable 6 by the urging means 9 so as to elastically press the optical cable 6 toward the canner blade 7. In this state, as shown in FIG. 7, when the gripping portion 28 of the optical cable stripping tool 1 is gripped and moved linearly in the axial direction of the optical cable 6, the sheath 3 of the optical cable 6 is stripped by the canner blade 7. The tear string 5 of the optical cable 6 is exposed while the strip-shaped coating 3 is discharged from the coating discharge hole 26 formed in the canner blade mounting portion 19. At this time, the optical cable 6 is restrained from moving in the left-right direction by the holding groove 15 and the top wall 51. In addition, when the optical cable 6 is operated so as to contact the inner side surface 21 of the side wall 52, the optical cable 6 6 can further restrain the lateral displacement. Further, since the cable holding body 8 is guided and supported by the guide portions (the guide convex portions 17 of the cable holding body 8 and the guide hole portions 27 of the tool body 10) 20, the stripping operation can be performed more reliably and stably. .

When stripping is completed, the insertion / removal piece 16 of the cable holding body 8 is pushed down so that the optical cable 6 is taken out from the enlarged gap A to finish the work.

The present invention can be applied to an optical cable peeling tool that peels off a part of the coating of an optical cable in which a tension member wire and a tear string are embedded in a sheath around a communication line, and exposes the tear string.
