Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a paper staple, a document binding apparatus, and a document binding method, and more particularly, a paper staple, a document binding apparatus, and a document binding, in which an upper half of a paper staple is driven into a document to bind the document. It is about the method.

Conventionally, since staples (needles) are made of metal, when cutting a document bound with metal staples with a shredder, if the paper is cut with the staples attached, the blade of the shredder may be damaged. is there. In addition, due to increased awareness of global environmental conservation, activities to recycle discarded documents from offices and the like have become widespread, and the number of users removing needles to separate documents and needles at the time of disposal is increasing.

For example, the needle removal can be easily performed by using a dedicated remover or the like, but the dedicated remover attached to the staple is difficult to remove at a time and requires a lot of labor for the needle removal operation. In addition, since the tip of the metal staple is sharp, considerable care must be taken in handling the staple during work.

It is comprised so that it may affix and bind on the side (refer patent document 1).
JP 2004-34640 A

According to the prior art described in Patent Document 1, since the paper staples are pasted using an adhesive, there is a problem in that it is troublesome to remove the paper staples when it is necessary to remove the paper staples. there were. Further, since the pressure-sensitive adhesive has a strong adhesive force, there is a drawback in that the paper material recycling operation cannot be efficiently performed because the strong adhesive force interferes with the document recycling operation.

Therefore, a technical problem to be solved in order to be able to satisfactorily bind a document without using an adhesive and to be able to recycle the document without hindrance arises. It aims to solve.

The present invention has been proposed to achieve the above object, and the invention according to claim 1 is a paper staple for binding a document, and the paper staple is formed in a substantially convex shape. In addition, the upper half portion of the paper staple is provided with a cut line for raising the latching piece, and the lower half portion has a horizontally long engagement hole that allows the upper half portion to be inserted. According to this configuration, first, a paper staple is disposed in the vicinity of the front of the slit portion of the staple setting member, and the intermediate portion of the paper staple is pushed toward the slit portion at the end of the document, so that the end of the document and the paper Insert the middle part of the staples into the slit part. Thus, the paper staple is set in a state of being bent in a substantially U shape (including a substantially U shape) so that the upper half and the lower half of the paper staple are located on the front side and the back side of the end of the document, respectively. Is done.

Next, the punching member is raised, and the lower half of the paper staple and the document are punched from the lower side at the cutting edge of the punching member to form a through hole, and the upper half is formed in the locking hole on the lower side of the cutting edge. Lock the part. Thereafter, when the punching member is lowered, the upper half portion of the paper staple together with the punching member passes through the document and the through hole of the lower half portion, and is drawn down to the lower surface side of the lower half portion.

Subsequently, the pair of curve forming members of the clincher device is advanced to the upper half side of the drawn paper staple, and the upper half is sandwiched between the pair of curve forming members. ) Is rotated around the other curve forming member. As a result, the upper half is bent and deformed in a substantially U shape toward the engagement hole, and the tip of the upper half is inserted into the engagement hole in the lower half, and the upper half is cut along the cut line of the upper half. The stop piece is cut and raised so that the stop piece comes close to the lower surface of the lower half edge of the through hole.

Next, after separating the pair of curve forming members from the upper half of the paper staple, the push-in member is raised to push up the substantially U-shaped curve of the upper half. As a result, the tip of the upper half part is hooked in a state of elastic contact with the upper surface of the edge of the engaging hole, and the hooking piece is hooked in a state of elastic contact with the lower surface of the edge of the through hole.

The invention of claim 3 is a document binding method using the paper staple of claim 1 and the document binding apparatus of claim 2, wherein the paper staple is disposed in front of the staple setting member, and The middle portion of the paper staple is pushed into the slit portion at the end of the document so that the upper half and the lower half of the paper staple are positioned on the front side and the back side of the end of the document, respectively. And after punching out the lower half of the set paper staple and the document from the lower side with the blade edge part of the punching member, the paper is inserted into a locking hole provided on the lower side of the blade edge part. A step of engaging the upper half of the staple made of paper, and pulling out the upper half of the paper staple to the lower side of the lower half of the paper staple; and the upper half of the paper staple made of a pair of curve forming members The pair of bending members sandwiched between them By curving in a substantially U shape, the top end of the upper half is inserted into the engaging hole in the upper half and the latching piece is cut along the cut line provided in the upper half. And the upper half of the curved paper staple is pushed up by a pushing member so that the hooking piece is hooked on the lower surface of the punched hole edge of the lower half and the tip of the upper half A document binding method in which a document can be bound by the paper staple by executing each of the above steps. provide.

According to this configuration, the paper staple is disposed near the front of the slit portion, the intermediate portion of the paper staple is pushed by the end portion of the document, and the end portion of the document and the intermediate portion of the paper staple are placed in the slit portion. Insert into. Thus, the upper half portion of the paper staple is set so as to be positioned on the surface side of the end portion of the document. Next, the lower half portion of the paper staple and the document are punched from the lower side at the blade edge portion of the punching member to form a through hole, and the upper half portion is locked in the locking hole on the lower side of the blade edge portion. Thereafter, when the punching member is lowered, the upper half portion passes through the document and the through hole in the lower half portion and is pulled out to the lower surface side of the lower half portion.

Subsequently, the pair of curve forming members of the clincher device are advanced to sandwich the upper half portion between the pair of curve forming members, and one curve forming member (the one closer to the engaging hole) is attached to the other curve forming member. By turning it around, the upper half is bent into a substantially U shape, the tip of the upper half is inserted into the engaging hole in the lower half, and the latching piece is cut along the cut line. Raise it and bring it close to the bottom surface of the through hole edge.

Next, after retracting the pair of bending forming members, the pushing member is raised to push up the bending portion of the upper half. As a result, the top end portion of the upper half is elastically engaged with the upper surface of the edge of the engagement hole, and the engagement piece is elastically contacted with the lower surface of the edge of the through hole. Thus, with the upper half of the paper staple returning from its curved shape to a substantially flat shape, the leading end of the upper half of the paper staple and the latching piece are engaged with the lower half of the paper staple. The hole edge part upper surface and the through hole edge part lower surface are hooked by elastic contact with each other from opposite directions.

Next, after the bending members 28 and 29 are separated from the upper half portion 14, when the bending portion 30 is pushed up by the pushing member 30, the latching pieces 18 and 18 are moved along the cut lines 17 and 17. It is cut and raised and hooked to the edge of the through hole 11, and the tip of the upper half 14 is hooked to the edge of the hooking hole 19. Thus, the curved upper half 14 returns to a substantially flat shape, and the latching pieces 18, 18 and the upper half 14 are on the lower edge of the through hole 11 and the upper edge of the hook 9, respectively. It will be clinched by elastic contact.

In this embodiment, the movable drive mechanism, the rotational drive mechanism, and the lift drive mechanism of each movable member are used to perform staple forward feeding, cutting, staple pulling, clinching, and the like at a predetermined timing related to the staple driving operation and the like. Etc. (not shown) are provided, but as these drive systems, a drive system using a cam, a link, a spring, an electromagnet or the like can be adopted as appropriate.

FIG. 1 is a block diagram showing the overall configuration of a paper stapling document binding apparatus 1. The document binding apparatus 1 is capable of driving a sheet storage unit 2 in which staple sheets 8 made of paper material are stored, a transfer unit 3 that sequentially feeds the staple sheets 8 at a constant pitch, and a stapled staple sheet 8 that has been fed forward. The shearing section 4 for cutting the strip-shaped paper staple 9, the driving section 5 for penetrating one side portion of the paper staple 9 into the document P, and the clincher section 6 for clinching the paper staple 9 are roughly configured. In the sheet storage unit 2, a predetermined number of staple sheets 8 are stacked and stored as an example, and the staple sheets 8 are sequentially fed to the shearing unit 4 side by a predetermined step by the transfer unit 3. It should be noted that a long staple sheet 8 wound in a roll shape may be fed forward. As the staple sheet 8, as shown in FIG. 2, paper staples 9 that are vertically adjacent to each other in the vertical direction are connected to each other via a narrow width portion 12, or as shown in FIG. Alternatively, paper staples 9 adjacent to each other on the left and right sides may be connected via the narrow width portion 12. As shown in FIG. 4, the paper staples 9 may be directly connected to each other without a narrow portion, but it is preferable to form a perforation 13 or a cut line in the continuous portion.

Although not shown, the shearing unit 4 includes a cutting table on which the staple sheet 8 is placed, and a shearing blade that can be raised and lowered at an upper position on the front end side of the cutting table. 8 continuous portions are cut and separated to obtain a paper staple 9 having a predetermined size. The paper staple 9 is sent to an upright state capable of being driven into the driving unit 5 via a guide member (not shown), and is driven into the document P by a driving machine 20 described later.

Here, the paper staple 9 has a substantially convex shape, and as shown in FIG. 5, the upper half 14 which is a narrow portion, the lower half 15 which is a wide portion, the upper half 14 and the lower half. It comprises a trapezoidal intermediate portion 16 provided between the portions 15. Two vertically long substantially U-shaped cut lines 17 and 17 are provided side by side at predetermined positions of the upper half portion 14, and the upper half portion 14 is curved in a substantially U shape so that FIG. As shown, substantially U-shaped latching pieces 18, 18 are cut and raised along the cut lines 17, 17.

Further, a rectangular hooking hole (square window) 19 that is long in the lateral direction is opened in the lower half portion 15 of the paper staple 9. The lateral width of the hooking hole 19 is set to be slightly larger than the lateral width of the front end portion of the upper half portion 14 of the paper staple 9. Therefore, after the upper half portion 14 of the paper staple 9 is passed through the document P and the lower half portion 15, the upper half portion 14 is bent toward the engagement hole 19 so that the tip end portion of the upper half portion 14 is engaged with the engagement hole. 19 is inserted.

The driving unit 6 includes a driving machine 20, and as shown in FIG. 7, the driving machine 20 includes a longitudinally long staple set member 21 in which a slit 23 having a U-shaped longitudinal section is formed on the front surface in the horizontal direction. And a punching member 22 disposed in front of the staple setting member 21 so as to be movable up and down. The vertical width and depth of the slit portion 23 are set to be larger than the total dimension of the thickness when the paper staple 9 is bent in a substantially U shape and the thickness of the document P. Therefore, when the intermediate portion 16 of the paper staple 9 is pushed and bent toward the slit portion 23 at the end portion of the document P, the bent end portion and the end portion of the document P are in the slit portion 23 as shown in FIG. Is held in the inserted state.

The punching member 22 has a substantially V-shaped cutting edge portion 24 at an upper end portion, and a square locking hole 25 is formed on the lower side of the cutting edge portion 24. As the punching member 22 is raised, the blade edge portion 24 punches the lower half portion 15 of the paper staple 9 and the document P, and the through hole 10 and the through hole are formed in the lower half portion 15 and the document P as shown in FIG. 11 is opened sequentially.

Thereafter, the upper half portion 14 of the paper staple 9 is hooked and locked in the locking hole 25 of the punching member 22 while the punching member 22 reaches the rising end. When the punching member 22 is lowered, the upper half portion 14 of the paper staple 9 sequentially passes through the through hole 11 and the through hole 10 and reaches the lower surface side of the lower half portion 15 of the paper staple 9 (see FIG. 11, see FIG.

A clincher portion 6 is provided in the vicinity of the driving portion 5, and a clincher device 26 constituting the clincher portion 6 includes a substantially rectangular parallelepiped clincher main body 27 provided to be able to approach and separate from the upper half portion 14 in the driving state. And a pair of curve forming members 28 and 29 are provided on one side surface of the clincher main body 27. A pushing member 30 is provided below the pair of curve forming members 28 and 29 so as to be movable up and down, and the pushing member 30 is located directly below the paper staple 9. The clincher main body 27 is configured so as to be able to rotate about the curve forming member 29 as a central axis.

The length of the pair of curve forming members 28 and 29 is set to be larger than the left and right width (the dimension width in the W direction in FIG. 5) of the upper half portion 14 of the paper staple 9. In the illustrated example, the pair of curve forming members 28 and 29 are formed in a substantially circular cross section, but both or one of the pair of curve forming members 28 and 29 may be formed in other appropriate shapes. it can. The curve forming member 28 and the curve forming member 29 are disposed so as to be disposed on one side and the other side of the upper half 14 in the suspended state, respectively (see FIG. 13).

By advancing the clincher main body 27 toward the paper staple 9 side, the upper half portion 14 of the paper staple 9 is sandwiched between the pair of curve forming members 28 and 29. Thereafter, by turning one curve forming member 28 around the other curve forming member 29, the upper half portion 14 is bent and deformed in a substantially U shape, and the tip end portion of the upper half portion 14 is engaged with the engagement portion. It is inserted into the hole 19. At this time, the latching pieces 18, 18 are cut and raised along the cut lines 17, 17, and the latching pieces 18, 18 are close to the lower surface of the edge of the through hole 10 in the lower half 15 (including abutment). To do.

The push-in member 30 is lifted to push up the curved portion of the upper half portion 14 after the clincher main body 27 is retracted to the original position in a state where the leading end portion of the upper half portion 14 of the paper staple 9 is inserted into the engaging hole 19. Driven. As a result, the front end portion of the upper half portion 14 is hooked on the upper surface of the edge portion of the hooking hole 19, and the hooking pieces 18, 18 are hooked on the lower surface of the edge portion of the through hole 11.

Next, the case where the document P is bound with the paper staple 9 will be described in detail with reference to FIGS. First, the paper staple 9 is set on the front surface side of the staple setting member 22. In this case, the paper staple 9 is set so that the upper half portion 14 of the paper staple 9 is positioned on the upper surface side (front surface side) of the document P (see FIG. 7).

Thus, one end of the document P is pressed against the front side surface (the surface opposite to the staple setting member 21) of the intermediate portion 16 of the paper staple 9, and the paper P together with the paper staple 9 is placed in the slit portion 23. The paper staple 9 is wound around one end of the document P in a substantially U-shaped half-turn state so that the upper half 14 and the lower half 15 of the paper staple 9 face the front and back surfaces of the document P (see FIG. 8).

Thereafter, the lower half portion 15 of the paper staple 9 is lifted from the lower side thereof, and the lower half portion 15 of the paper staple 9 and the document P are punched out in a skewered manner. The through hole 10 and the through hole 11 are sequentially formed in the document P (FIG. 9).

Thereafter, as the blade edge portion 24 is further raised, the upper half portion 14 of the paper staple 9 hits the side surface of the blade edge portion 24 and curves upward, but the upper end portion of the upper half portion 14 has a locking hole for the punching member 22. When 25 reaches, the upper half part 14 enters the locking hole 25 and the upper half part 14 faces the surface of the document P (FIG. 10).

Then, when the punching member 22 is lowered while the upper end portion of the upper half portion 14 of the paper staple 9 has entered the locking hole 25, the tip end portion of the upper half portion 14 passes through the through holes 11, 10. (Fig. 11). Subsequently, when the upper half portion 14 of the paper staple 9 is completely pulled out to the lower surface side of the lower half portion 15 by the punching member 22, the upper half portion 14 is suspended from the document P (FIG. 12). .

Next, the clincher main body 27 advances toward the upper half 14 of the paper staple 9, and the upper half 14 is inserted between the pair of curve forming members 28 and 29 (FIG. 13). Next, the left curve forming member 28 is rotated about 180 ° toward the slit portion 23 around the right curve forming member 29 in FIG. Then, the upper half part 14 is wound along the lower peripheral surface of the curve forming member 29 and curved in a substantially U shape, and the leading end of the curved part is a hooking hole of the lower half part 15 of the paper staple 9. 19 (FIG. 14). At this time, as shown in FIG. 6, the latching pieces 18, 18 are cut and raised along the cut lines 17, 17, and the latching pieces 18, 18 are closely opposed to the lower surface of the edge of the through hole 11. .

Thereafter, the clincher main body 27 is retracted from the paper staple 9, the pair of curve forming members 28 and 29 are separated from the upper half portion 14, and the pushing member 30 is raised instead. Then, the pushing member 30 pushes up the substantially U-shaped curved part of the upper half part 14 (FIG. 15). As a result, the latching pieces 18 and 18 are pushed to the left side in the drawing along the lower surface of the edge of the through hole 11, and the tip of the upper half portion 14 extends along the upper surface of the edge of the hooking hole 19. It is pushed right inside.

In this case, since the curved portion elastically returns to a substantially flat shape, the front end portion of the upper half portion 14 and the latching pieces 18 and 18 are respectively the upper surface of the edge of the engagement hole 19 and the lower surface of the edge of the through hole 11. It is clinched by elastic contact with moderate pressure. Thereafter, the pushing member 30 is returned to the original position, and the document P is separated from the slit portion 23. Thus, as shown in FIGS. 16 and 17, the document P is reliably bound in a stable and good state.

As described above, the paper staple 9 has the upper half 14 and the lower half 15 of the paper staple 9 facing the front and back surfaces of the end of the document P, and the upper half 14 of the document P and the lower half 15. After that, the latching pieces 18 and 18 formed by bending the upper half part 14 are latched to the edge of the through hole, and the tip of the upper half part 14 is latched to the edge of the latching hole 19. It is something to be made.

Therefore, the tip end portion of the upper half portion 14 and the latching pieces 18 and 18 are respectively latched in an elastic contact state with the upper surface of the edge portion of the engagement hole 19 and the lower surface of the edge portion of the through hole 10 of the lower half portion 14. The paper P can be easily and reliably bound with the paper staples 9 without using any adhesive. Further, when the document P is recycled, the paper P can be cut by a shredder without removing the paper staple 9 from the document P. Furthermore, since no adhesive is used, the paper staple 9 can be easily removed when necessary.
