Description

The present invention relates to a vehicular lamp, and more particularly to a vehicular lamp that can improve the design of the lamp.

In recent vehicle lamps, a single-function lamp element having a plurality of light emitting portions is employed. For example, there are a tail lamp having a plurality of light emitting portions, a stop lamp having a plurality of light emitting portions, and the like. In such a configuration, the design of the lamp is emphasized from the viewpoint of improving the design of the vehicle.

The technique described in patent document 1 is known for the conventional vehicle lamp regarding this subject. In a conventional vehicular lamp, a container-shaped lamp body is defined by a partition wall into a plurality of lamp chambers, and a reflector is integrally formed on an inner peripheral surface of the lamp body portion forming the lamp chamber. In the vehicular lamp, the front opening of the rear wall is assembled with a transparent front lens which is formed by joining a plurality of lenses of different colors, and the front edge of the partition wall is behind the lens joint. A vent hole extending along the lens joint portion and communicating with the outside of the lamp chamber is provided at a position facing the lens joint portion on the front edge of the partition wall. Thereby, the designability (appearance) improvement of a lamp is achieved.

Here, the conventional vehicular lamp employs a configuration in which a plurality of light emitting units are simultaneously turned on or off (including dimming).

An object of this invention is to provide the vehicle lamp which can improve the designability of a lamp.

In order to achieve the above object, a vehicular lamp having a plurality of light emitting units according to the present invention includes a first light emitting unit and a second light emitting unit that realize a single lamp function, and when the lamp is turned off. And at least one of the first light-emitting part and the second light-emitting part is turned off with gradually decreasing brightness, and the first light-emitting part and the second light-emitting part have different light-off processes. .

In this vehicular lamp, the first light emitting part and the second light emitting part realize a single lamp function, and these have different light extinction processes, so that the complete lighting state at the time of extinguishing is Different light distribution patterns (appearance shapes) are formed. Thereby, compared with the structure which each light emission part drives in the same light extinction process, there exists an advantage which the designability (appearance) of a lamp improves. Note that realizing a single lamp function means, for example, a case where the first light emitting unit and the second light emitting unit function as a single brake light.

Further, in the vehicle lamp according to the present invention, in the process of turning off the lamp, both the first light-emitting unit and the second light-emitting unit are turned off with gradually decreasing brightness, and the first light-emitting unit at the time of turning off The speed of change in brightness differs from the speed of change in brightness of the second light emitting unit.

For example, the vehicular lamp is configured such that the gradient of the change in brightness of the second light emitting unit is gentler than that of the first light emitting unit. In such a configuration, since the brightness of the second light emitting unit gradually decreases during the turn-off process, there is a predetermined time difference from when the first light emitting unit is completely turned off to when the second light emitting unit is completely turned off. For this reason, when the lamp is turned off, the light from the second light-emitting portion appears to float, and the visibility of the second light-emitting portion is improved. Therefore, for example, when the second light emitting unit constitutes a characteristic part of the light distribution pattern of the lamp, there is an advantage that the visibility and design of the lamp are effectively improved.

In the vehicular lamp according to the present invention, when the lamp is turned off, one of the first light emitting part and the second light emitting part is gradually turned off with the brightness being reduced, and the other is completely turned off instantaneously.

In this vehicular lamp, for example, a configuration is adopted in which the first light emitting unit is instantaneously extinguished when the lamp is extinguished, and the second light emitting unit is extinguished while gradually decreasing the brightness by dimming control. In such a configuration, for example, the second light-emitting portion constitutes a characteristic part of the light distribution pattern of the lamp, so that there is an advantage that the visibility and design of the lamp are effectively improved.

The vehicular lamp according to the present invention is a vehicular lamp having a plurality of light emitting sections, including a first light emitting section and a second light emitting section that realize a single lamp function, and when the lamp is turned on. And at least one of the first light emitting unit and the second light emitting unit is lit with gradually increasing brightness, and the first light emitting unit and the second light emitting unit have different lighting processes. .

In this vehicular lamp, the first light-emitting unit and the second light-emitting unit have different lighting processes, so that the visibility of the lamp can be compared with the configuration in which each light-emitting part is driven in the same lighting process. There is an advantage that the design property is improved. Such a configuration can be easily designed within the range obvious to those skilled in the art based on the configuration when the lamp is turned off.

Further, in the vehicle lamp according to the present invention, in the lighting process of the lamp, both the first light emitting unit and the second light emitting unit are turned on with gradually increasing brightness, and the first light emitting unit is turned on. The speed of change in brightness differs from the speed of change in brightness of the second light emitting unit.

This vehicular lamp has an advantage that the visibility and design of the lamp are effectively improved as in the above-described example when the lamp is turned off.

In the vehicular lamp according to the present invention, when the lamp is turned on, one of the first light emitting unit and the second light emitting unit is turned on with gradually increasing brightness, and the other is completely turned on instantaneously.

This vehicular lamp has an advantage that the visibility and design of the lamp are effectively improved as in the above-described example when the lamp is turned off.

In the vehicular lamp according to the present invention, the first light emitting unit includes a first light source and a reflector that reflects light from the first light source, and the second light emitting unit includes the second light source and the second light source. A light guide part for guiding light from the light source, and a light distribution pattern of the lamp is formed by the first light emitting part and the second light emitting part.

In this vehicle lamp, when the first light emitting unit and the second light emitting unit have different extinguishing processes or lighting processes, a novel light distribution pattern is formed by the reflected light from the reflector and the emitted light from the light guide unit. The Thereby, there exists an advantage which the visibility and design property of a lamp improve effectively.

In the vehicular lamp according to the present invention, the first light emitting part is formed of a planar base member, and the plurality of second light emitting parts are arranged in the plane of the first light emitting part.

In this vehicular lamp, for example, when the first light-emitting part is turned off later than the second light-emitting part when the lamp is turned off, the second light-emitting part serving as the base is turned off, and then the light is turned into the second light-emitting part. A plurality of existing first light emitting units are gradually turned off while gradually decreasing the brightness. Thereby, since a novel light distribution pattern is formed, there exists an advantage which the designability of a lamp improves. Further, when the second light emitting unit is a characteristic part such as a character or a graphic, there is an advantage that this characteristic part is emphasized by the above-described extinguishing process.

In the vehicular lamp according to the present invention, at least one of the light source of the first light emitting unit and the light source of the second light emitting unit is configured by an LED (light-emitting diode).

In this vehicular lamp, since the first light source of the first light emitting unit and the second light source of the second light emitting unit are configured by LEDs, independent light control (division of the light emitting unit) is easy. The dimming time (the time difference between the light emitting units until complete light-off or complete light-up) is preferable in that it is easy to set (make the setting flexible). Further, since the LED has a high response speed as a light source, there is an advantage that the brightness and dimming time of each light emitting unit can be easily and accurately controlled.

In the vehicular lamp according to the present invention, at least one of the light source of the first light emitting unit and the light source of the second light emitting unit is configured by an incandescent bulb.

In this vehicular lamp, for example, it is preferable that the light source of the light emitting unit that gradually decreases the brightness when turned off and the light source of the light emitting unit that gradually increases the brightness when turned on are configured by incandescent bulbs. With a light source composed of an incandescent bulb, the response speed for changing the brightness is slow, so that it is possible to gradually decrease or increase the brightness without providing a dimming circuit like a light source composed of LEDs. This has the advantage that the cost of the product can be reduced.

In the vehicular lamp according to the present invention, the first light emitting unit and the second light emitting unit realize a single lamp function, and these have different extinguishing processes. A light distribution pattern (appearance shape) different from the state is formed. Thereby, compared with the structure which each light emission part drives in the same light extinction process, there exists an advantage which the designability (appearance) of a lamp improves.

Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. Note that the present invention is not limited to the embodiments. The constituent elements of this embodiment include those that can be easily replaced by those skilled in the art or those that are substantially the same. In addition, a plurality of modifications described in this embodiment can be arbitrarily combined within a range obvious to those skilled in the art.

1 to 3 are a perspective view (FIG. 1), a sectional view taken along line AA (FIG. 2), and a circuit diagram (FIG. 3) showing a vehicular lamp according to an embodiment of the present invention. FIGS. 4 and 5 are a timing chart (FIG. 4) showing the operation of the vehicle lamp shown in FIG. 6-10 is explanatory drawing which shows the modification of the vehicle lamp described in FIG.

The vehicular lamp 1 is a lamp installed in a vehicle, and is applied to, for example, a stop lamp, a tail lamp, a turn lamp, a head lamp, and the like. The vehicular lamp 1 includes a first light-emitting unit 2 and a second light-emitting unit 3 that realize a single lamp function, and a control unit that drives and controls the light-emitting units 2 and 3 and includes a flat circuit board. 4. Note that realizing a single lamp function means, for example, a case where the first light emitting unit 2 and the second light emitting unit 3 function as a single stop lamp.

The first light emitting unit 2 includes a first light source 21 and a reflector 22. The first light source 21 is an LED (light-emitting diode), and is mounted on the back side of the control unit 4 (on the back side toward the front (light emission direction) of the vehicular lamp 1). The reflector 22 has a substantially hemispherical shape and is disposed on the back side of the control unit 4. The reflector 22 has a function of reflecting the light from the first light source 21 and irradiating it in front of the vehicular lamp 1. The second light emitting unit 3 includes a second light source 31 and a light guide unit 32, and has a different shape with respect to the first light emitting unit 2. The second light source 31 is an LED and is mounted on the front side of the control unit 4 (front side in the direction of irradiation of the vehicular lamp 1). The light guide part 32 consists of a substantially cylindrical member made of transparent resin, is disposed on the second light source 31 and has its axial direction directed forward of the lamp. The light guide 32 has a function of guiding light from the second light source 31 to the front of the vehicular lamp 1. The first light emitting unit 2 and the second light emitting unit 3 constitute a light distribution pattern of the vehicular lamp 1 (including not only a light distribution for satisfying legal requirements but also a design light distribution; the same applies hereinafter). The

In this embodiment, when the vehicle lamp 1 is viewed from the front, the first light emitting unit 2 having the circular reflector 22 serves as a base, and the light guide unit 32 of the second light emitting unit 3 is located at the center thereof. Thereby, in the lighting state of the lamp, the circular light emitting part (first light emitting part 2) and the annular light emitting part (second light emitting part 3) at the center thereof from the front of the lamp (the vehicular lamp 1 is backed). Visible from the following vehicle in the case of lights).

The control unit 4 is a control component (transistor TR, capacitor C, resistor, dimming circuit) for turning on and off the first light emitting unit 2 (first light source 21) and the second light emitting unit 3 (second light source 31). 41, 42, etc.). The control unit 4 is connected to a vehicle-side power supply (not shown) and a signal generation unit (not shown). Such a signal generator has a function of generating a signal for turning on and off the vehicular lamp 1. For example, when the vehicular lamp 1 is a stop lamp, the control unit 4 is connected to a brake pedal or the like (signal generation unit) of the vehicle. In this embodiment, both the first light source 21 and the second light source 31 are mounted on a single control board (control unit 4), but these are separately mounted independently on different control boards. May be. Further, the control board may be configured by an electrical connection structure that can realize the same function as described above, such as a bus bar or a semiconductor chip.

In the control unit 4, when the transistor TR is in the OFF state, power is not supplied to the first light source 21 and the second light source 31, and the first light emitting unit 2 and the second light emitting unit 3 are turned off. When a lighting signal is input from the signal generation unit on the vehicle side (voltage is applied), a current flows to the first light source 21 and the second light source 31 via the resistance, and the first light emitting unit 2 and the second light emitting unit 2 The two light emitting units 3 are turned on. At this time, the transistor TR is turned on and the capacitor C is also charged. In FIG. 3, illustration of resistors around the transistor TR and the capacitor C is omitted. Next, when a turn-off signal is input from the signal generator on the vehicle side (the voltage is no longer applied), the transistor TR is kept on until the capacitor C is discharged. A current is supplied to the first light source 21 and the second light source 31, and the first light emitting unit 2 and the second light emitting unit 3 are dimmed. At this time, the time during which the transistor TR is kept on is set longer than the dimming time of the second dimming circuit 42. The first dimming circuit 41 is set so that the first light emitting unit 2 is completely extinguished at 0.1 [s], and the second dimming circuit 42 is set to 0.3 [s] at the second light emitting unit. 3 is set to be completely turned off. Thus, a difference (time difference) is generated between the time until the first light emitting unit 2 is turned off and the time until the second light emitting unit 3 is turned off.

Here, in the vehicular lamp 1, the first light emitting unit 2 and the second light emitting unit 3 are different from each other in a lighting process (a process in which the light emitting state is turned on) or a light extinguishing process (a process in which the light emitting state is turned off. ). For example, the first light emitting unit 2 and the second light emitting unit 3 may be different in at least one of the lighting process or the extinguishing process, or may be different in both the lighting process and the extinguishing process. In this embodiment, when the lamp is turned on, the first light emitting unit 2 and the second light emitting unit 3 are turned on instantaneously from the off state, and when the lamp is turned off, the first light emitting unit 2 and the second light emitting unit 3 are turned off. A configuration in which the light is individually turned off will be described as an example (see FIGS. 4 and 5).

In the light-off state, both the first light emitting unit 2 and the second light emitting unit 3 are turned off. When the lamp is turned on, first, a lighting signal is input from the signal generation unit to the control unit 4 to turn on the lamp. Here, at the time of lighting, both the first light emitting unit 2 and the second light emitting unit 3 are turned on simultaneously and instantaneously from the extinguished state (see FIG. 5A). Thereby, the lamp is completely turned on and the original light distribution of the lamp is satisfied.

Next, when the lamp is turned off, a turn-off signal is input from the signal generation unit to the control unit 4. Then, the 1st light emission part 2 and the 2nd light emission part 3 light-extinguish in a separate light extinction process. Specifically, the first light emitting unit 2 gradually decreases in brightness with a steep slope than the second light emitting unit 3 and is turned off before the second light emitting unit 3 (see FIG. 5B). . On the other hand, the second light emitting unit 3 gradually decreases in brightness with a gentle gradient, and turns off after the first light emitting unit 2. For this reason, in the front view of the lamp, the circular first light emitting unit 2 serving as the base is turned off first, and then the annular second light emitting unit 3 located at the center is slowly turned off. For this reason, the center part (second light emitting part 3) and the base part (first light emitting part 2) of the lamp are different in time from the start of turning off until completely turned off (having a time difference). Then, the lamp is completely turned off by turning off the first light emitting unit 2 and the second light emitting unit 3 (see FIG. 5C). In addition, dimming control of the 1st light emission part 2 and the 2nd light emission part 3 is performed separately and independently by the light control circuit 41 and 42 which the control part 4 has.

[effect]
In this vehicular lamp 1, the first light emitting unit 2 and the second light emitting unit 3 realize a single lamp function, and they have different extinction processes, so that they are completely lit when extinguished. A light distribution pattern (appearance shape) different from the state is formed. Thereby, compared with the structure which each light emission part drives in the same light extinction process, there exists an advantage which the designability (appearance) of a lamp improves. Note that realizing a single lamp function means, for example, a case where the first light emitting unit 2 and the second light emitting unit 3 function as a single brake light.

Further, in the configuration in which the vehicular lamp 1 is applied to a brake lamp, a characteristic part of the lamp (a part of a CI mark shape, a part of a design important character or figure, etc.) is the first light emitting unit 2 or the second light emitting unit 2. It is preferable that the second light emitting unit 3 is configured and this characteristic portion is emphasized by the above-described extinguishing process. For example, when the time until the characteristic part is completely turned off is set longer than the other parts, the characteristic part appears to rise when the lamp is turned off. Accordingly, there is an advantage that the visibility of the lamp is improved and the attention of the driver of the surrounding vehicle is effectively attracted, or the design of the lamp is further improved. Moreover, there is an advantage that a new added value is given to the lamp.

[Modification 1]
In the vehicular lamp 1, both the first light emitting unit 2 and the second light emitting unit 3 are turned off with gradually decreasing brightness, and the speed of change in the brightness of the first light emitting unit when the light is turned off ( It is preferable that the gradual decrease rate is different from the speed of change in brightness of the second light emitting unit (see FIG. 5). For example, the gradient of the change in brightness of the second light emitting unit 3 is configured to be gentler than that of the first light emitting unit 2. In such a configuration, the brightness of the second light emitting unit 3 gradually decreases during the turn-off process, and therefore there is a predetermined time difference from when the first light emitting unit 2 is completely turned off to when the second light emitting unit 3 is completely turned off. . For this reason, when the lamp is turned off, the light from the second light emitting unit 3 appears to float, and the visibility of the second light emitting unit 3 is improved. Therefore, for example, when the second light emitting unit 3 constitutes a characteristic part of the light distribution pattern of the lamp, there is an advantage that the visibility and design of the lamp are effectively improved.

[Modification 2]
Further, in the vehicular lamp 1, when the lamp is turned off, one of the first light emitting unit 2 and the second light emitting unit 3 is gradually turned off with the brightness gradually decreased, and the other is instantaneously completely turned off. (See FIGS. 6 and 7). For example, a configuration is adopted in which when the lamp is turned off, the first light emitting unit is turned off instantaneously, and the second light emitting unit 3 is turned off while gradually decreasing the brightness by dimming control. In such a configuration, for example, the second light emitting unit 3 constitutes a characteristic part of the light distribution pattern of the lamp, so that there is an advantage that the visibility and design of the lamp are effectively improved.

In this configuration, the dimming circuit 42 may be provided only for one of the first light emitting unit 2 or the second light emitting unit 3. Thereby, there exists an advantage by which the control part 4 is comprised cheaply. For example, in the configuration in which only the second light emitting unit 3 gradually turns off the brightness, it is sufficient if the dimming circuit 42 is provided only for the second light emitting unit 3 (see FIG. 8). The operation of the circuit shown in FIG. 8 is substantially the same as that of the circuit shown in FIG.

[Modification 3]
Further, in the vehicular lamp 1, the first light emitting unit 2 and the second light emitting unit 3 may have different lighting processes (not shown) as in the above-described example when the lights are turned off. Thereby, compared with the structure which each light emission part drives in the same lighting process, there exists an advantage which the visibility and design property of a lamp improve. Such a configuration can be easily designed within the range obvious to those skilled in the art based on the configuration when the lamp is turned off.

Further, in such a configuration, as in the above-described example when the lamp is turned off, both the first light-emitting unit 2 and the second light-emitting unit 3 are turned on with gradually increasing brightness in the lighting process of the lamp. It is preferable that the speed of change in brightness of the first light emitting unit 2 is different from the speed of change in brightness of the second light emitting unit 3 (not shown). Thereby, there exists an advantage which the visibility and design property of a lamp improve effectively. In addition, for example, one of the light emitting sections is formed as a characteristic part of the lamp in a linear shape that easily attracts the attention of the following vehicle, and the time until the light emitting section is turned on is set shorter than the other light emitting sections. It is preferable. As a result, when the lamp is turned on, the characteristic portion is lit before the base portion, so that there is an advantage that the visibility of the lamp is improved. In addition, this has an advantage that an incidental effect such as safety improvement can be obtained.

Further, in such a configuration, as in the above-described example when the lamp is turned off, when the lamp is turned on, one of the first light emitting unit and the second light emitting unit is turned on with gradually increasing brightness and the other is instantaneously turned on. Is preferably completely lit (not shown). There is an advantage that the visibility and design of the lamp are effectively improved.

[Modification 4]
In the vehicular lamp 1, the first light emitting unit 2 includes the first light source 21 and the reflector 22, the second light emitting unit 3 includes the second light source 31 and the light guide unit 32, and A light distribution pattern of the lamp is formed by the one light emitting unit 2 and the second light emitting unit 3. And as mentioned above, the 1st light emission part 2 and the 2nd light emission part 3 have a different light extinction process or lighting process. For this reason, a novel light distribution pattern is formed by the reflected light from the reflector 22 and the emitted light from the light guide portion 32. Thereby, there exists an advantage which the visibility and design property of a lamp improve effectively.

In such a configuration, it is preferable that the first light emitting unit 2 constitutes a base part of the light distribution pattern of the lamp and the second light emitting unit 3 constitutes a characteristic part of the light distribution pattern of the lamp (see FIG. 1). ). In such a configuration, for example, in the above-described extinguishing process, the characteristic part (second light emitting unit 3) is slowly turned off behind the base part (first light emitting unit 2). Then, since the characteristic part appears to be lifted, the visibility of the characteristic part is improved. Thereby, there exists an advantage which the designability of a lamp and the alerting power to the surrounding driver improve further.

In the example shown in FIG. 1, circular reflected light is emitted from the base portion of the light distribution pattern by the reflector 22 of the first light emitting unit 2, and the light distribution pattern is characteristic by the light guide unit 32 of the second light emitting unit 3. An annular light guide is emitted from the portion. For this reason, when the second light emitting unit 3 is turned off with a delay, an annular figure which is a characteristic part appears to rise. Thereby, there exists an advantage which the visibility of the characteristic part of a lamp improves (refer FIG. 5).

Regardless of the above, the configurations of the first light emitting unit 2 and the second light emitting unit 3 are not limited. For example, according to the design and structure of the lamp, the reflector 22 and the light guide unit 32 may be omitted, or an optical lens may be arranged instead. For example, the light distribution pattern may be formed by direct light from the first light source 21 and the second light source 31. In addition, other different light emitting structures (light emitting structures in which direct light, reflection, light guide, etc. are mixed) may be employed.

[Modification 5]
Moreover, in this vehicle lamp 1, instead of the configuration described in FIGS. 1 and 2, the first light emitting unit 2 and the second light emitting unit 3 may be configured as follows. In other words, the first light emitting unit 2 is made of a planar base member having a substantially rectangular shape, and a plurality of small second light emitting units 3 having a rectangular shape are arranged so as to be scattered in the plane of the first light emitting unit. A configuration may be employed (see FIGS. 9 and 10). In such a configuration, for example, when the second light emitting unit 3 is turned off later than the first light emitting unit 2 when the lamp is turned off (see FIG. 4), after the first light emitting unit 2 serving as a base is turned off, The plurality of second light emitting units 3 scattered in the first light emitting unit 2 are gradually turned off while gradually decreasing the brightness. Thereby, since a novel light distribution pattern is formed, there exists an advantage which the designability of a lamp improves. Moreover, when the 1st light emission part 2 is characteristic parts, such as a character and a figure, there exists an advantage by which this characteristic part is emphasized by said light extinction process.

[Modification 6]
Moreover, in this vehicle lamp 1, the 1st light source 21 of the 1st light emission part 2 and the 2nd light source 31 of the 2nd light emission part 3 are comprised by LED (refer FIG. 2). In the light emitting units 2 and 3 in which the light sources 21 and 31 are LEDs, independent dimming control (division of the light emitting units) is easy, and the dimming time (between each light emitting unit 2 and 3 until complete extinction or complete lighting) This is preferable in that it is easy to set the time difference). Further, since the LED has a high response speed as a light source, there is an advantage that the brightness and the dimming time of the light emitting units 2 and 3 can be easily and accurately controlled.

Moreover, in this vehicle lamp 1, at least one of the first light source 21 of the first light emitting unit 2 and the second light source 31 of the second light emitting unit 3 may be configured by an incandescent bulb (not shown). Specifically, it is preferable that the light source of the light emitting unit that gradually decreases the brightness when turned off and the light source of the light emitting unit that gradually increases the brightness when turned on are configured by incandescent bulbs. In the light source composed of an incandescent bulb, the response speed for changing the brightness is slow. Therefore, the brightness can be gradually decreased or the brightness can be gradually increased without providing the dimming circuits 41 and 42 like the light source composed of the LED. . This has the advantage that the cost of the product can be reduced.

As described above, the vehicular lamp according to the present invention is useful in that the design of the lamp can be improved.
