Claims

In the moving picture decoding method for decoding the moving picture from the encoded data in which the moving picture having the luminance and the two color differences is subjected to motion compensation prediction encoding,
(1) Quantized orthogonal transform coefficient of prediction error signal regarding luminance and two color differences, (2) information of motion vector, (3) (A) reference image, (B) weighting coefficient for luminance and two color differences (C) index information indicating a combination including luminance and an offset for each of two color differences, and receiving encoded data encoded for each decoding target block as input;
Obtaining the reference image, the weighting factor and the offset for each block to be decoded from the index information;
Generating a prediction error signal for each of the decoding target blocks by performing inverse quantization and inverse orthogonal transform on the quantized orthogonal transform coefficients;
Generating a motion compensated prediction image for each decoding target block by multiplying the reference image by the weighting factor and adding the offset according to a motion vector for each decoding target block;
