Description

The present invention relates to a mask assembly comprising a full-face mask and a hood attachable to and detachable from the mask.

A full-face type dust mask and gas mask that can cover the mouth, the periphery of the nostrils, and the periphery of both eyes and are formed so as to be able to suck and exhaust are well known. A hood that can cover the head of a mask wearer and has an opening for exposing the face of the wearer is also well known. For example, Avon Rubber plc's homepage http://www.avon-rubber.com (Non-Patent Document 1) introduces a full-face mask made of butyl rubber. On the outer surface of the peripheral edge of the mask that is in close contact with the mask wearer's face, ribs are formed to extend around the peripheral edge. Also, Remploy Frontline's homepage http://www.remployfrontline.com (Non-Patent Document 2) introduces hooded protective clothing that can be worn in combination with this full-face mask. The hood has an opening that exposes the face, and gathers are formed at the periphery of the opening, and the opening can be expanded and contracted in the circumferential direction. When the hood is extended, the diameter of the opening increases. When such a hood is worn so that the peripheral edge of the opening is located in front of the rib of the mask, the peripheral edge is elastically contracted and closely contacts the outer surface of the mask peripheral edge, and contacts the rib from the front. It is possible to prevent the hood from moving behind the head and coming off the head.

In the assembly of the mask of Non-Patent Document 1 and the hood of Non-Patent Document 2, when the hood moves toward the rear of the head, the hood can be prevented from coming off the head by the rib. When the slidable movement occurs, the hood partially covers the lens portion provided on the mask, which may obstruct the field of view or reduce the airtightness of the hood.

An object of the present invention is to improve a mask assembly comprising a mask and a hood so that the hood does not move forward and obstruct the field of view.

In order to solve the above-mentioned problems, the present invention is directed to a full-face mask capable of air intake and exhaust that adheres to the periphery of the face while covering the mouthpiece, the nostril periphery, and the periphery of both eyes, and the mask. It is a separate body and can cover the wearer's head of the mask and is in close contact with the face when the head is covered. It is a mask assembly which consists of a hood which contacts in the state which can block passage of outside air in.

In such a mask assembly, the present invention is characterized as follows. The mask has a rib that goes around the mask on the outer surface of the peripheral portion, and the hood forms an opening that exposes the face of the wearer through the mask and an edge of the opening The annular member has an inner peripheral surface and an outer peripheral surface, and a groove portion that is detachably fitted to the rib is formed on the inner peripheral surface.

In a preferred embodiment of the present invention, an annular clamp member for preventing the annular member from being detached from the rib is attached to the outer peripheral surface of the annular member fitted to the rib from the outside of the hood. It is possible (corresponding to claim 2).

In the mask assembly according to the present invention, since the annular member in the hood is fitted to the rib formed on the peripheral portion of the mask, the movement in the front-rear direction with respect to the mask is suppressed near the opening of the hood. It does not interfere with the mask wearer's field of view and reduce the airtightness of the hood.

In the embodiment of the present invention according to claim 2, since the clamp member can be attached to the outer peripheral surface of the annular member fitted to the rib, the annular member does not come off the rib.

The details of the mask assembly according to the present invention will be described with reference to the accompanying drawings.

FIG. 1 is a perspective view of the mask assembly 1 in use. The mask assembly 1 can cover at least the head of the person who wears it, a full-face mask 2 that can cover the entire face including the mouth of the wearer, the nostrils, and the periphery of both eyes. In the figure, it consists of a hood 3 that extends further downward from the head. The mask 2 includes a front surface portion 6 made of a transparent hard plastic, a lip portion 7 which is formed behind a front surface portion 6 and is made of a flexible elastic material such as synthetic rubber and can be closely attached to the periphery of the face. It has a headband part 8 extending from the part 7 to the rear of the head. On the left and right sides of the front surface portion 6, in addition to a filter member 11 for gas and dust prevention, an exhaust portion 12 and a voice transmission portion 13 are formed. Outside air passes through the filter member 11 and then passes through the intake check valve 14 to the mask wearer's mouth and around the nostril, while the wearer's exhalation passes through a check valve (not shown) of the exhaust section 12. Go out of the mask through. In the hood 3, an annular member 23 (see FIG. 2) that forms the edge of the opening 22 (see FIG. 2) that exposes the wearer's face through the mask 2 is formed on the peripheral portion of the front surface portion 6 by the clamp member 18. On the other hand, it is preferably fixed in an airtight state.

FIG. 2 is an exploded perspective view of the mask assembly 1. However, the mask 2 does not show a part of the headband portion 8. In the mask 2, the rear portion of the front surface portion 6 is connected to the front portion of the lip portion 7 in an airtight state. On the outer surface of the front portion of the lip portion 7, a single rib 21 extends in an annular shape so as to make a round of the mask 2 at its peripheral edge. The hood 3 is formed of an appropriate sheet material such as a cloth, a rubber sheet, or a plastic sheet, and includes a covering portion 25 that can cover a necessary portion such as a neck portion and a trunk portion in addition to the head of the mask wearer. The edge of the opening 22 provided in the front portion of the covering portion 25 is formed by an annular member 23 attached to the covering portion 25 by joining means such as sewing or welding. The annular member 23 has an inner peripheral surface and an outer peripheral surface, and the inner peripheral surface forms a groove that can be fitted to the rib 21. Moreover, the preferable annular member 23 is made so that a diameter can be enlarged by elastically deforming. The annular member 23 fitted to the rib 21 in a state of being elastically deformed so as to increase in diameter is brought into close contact with the rib 21 by a force to be elastically contracted, and from between the rib 21 and the annular member 23. It is possible to prevent outside air from entering the inside of the hood 3. The annular clamp member 18 is made of an elastic material such as synthetic rubber so that it can be elastically deformed to increase its diameter. The shape of the inner peripheral surface of the clamp member 18 is formed into a shape that can be fitted from the outside of the mask 2 to the annular member 23 fitted to the rib 21 of the mask 2.

In the mask assembly 1, when the annular member 23 is in close contact with the rib 21, more preferably, when the annular member 23 is in close contact with the rib 21, the annular member 23 is prevented from moving in the front-rear direction with respect to the mask 2. Further, when the clamp member 18 is fitted to such an annular member 23, the clamp member 18 tightens the annular member 23 with a force to be elastically contracted, and the annular member 23 is disengaged from the rib 21. It can be surely prevented. The mask assembly 1 thus formed can be used in a state where the annular member 23 is merely fitted to the rib 21, but in a state where the clamp member 18 is fitted to the annular member 23. More preferably it is used.

FIG. 3 is a diagram showing a cross section taken along line III-III in FIG. 1. In the mask 2, the front surface portion 6 and the lip portion 7 are connected in an airtight state so as not to be separated from each other. The annular member 23 attached to the covering portion 25 in the hood 3 is detachably fitted to the rib 21 formed on the lip portion 7. The annular member 23 is fastened by a clamp member 18 that is detachably fitted thereto. In the mask assembly 1 worn in such a state, the vicinity of the opening 22 in the hood 3 with respect to the mask 2 does not move in the front-rear direction (left-right direction in the figure) with respect to the mask wearer's face. Thus, unlike the prior art, the hood 3 does not move forward and obstruct the mask wearer's field of view, and the airtightness of the hood 3 is not reduced.

FIG. 4 shows an example of the clamp member 18 used in place of the clamp member 18 illustrated in FIG. The clamp member 18 includes a main body portion 31 and a connector portion 32, and the connector portion 32 has a first connector portion 36 provided at one end of the main body portion 31 and an opening 33. It has a second connector portion 37 that is a protrusion that can enter and leave in the direction of arrow Y and is formed at the other end of the main body portion 31. The main body portion 31 can be fitted to the annular member 23 of the hood 3 in a state where the connector portion 32 is separated into the first connector portion 36 and the second connector portion 37 as shown in the figure. The fitted main body portion 31 forms a ring when the second connector portion 37 enters the opening 33 of the first connector portion 36 and closes the connector portion 32 so that the annular member 23 does not come off the rib 21. Can be tightened. Such a body portion 31 can be made of an elastic material or an inelastic material such as a metal. In the connector portion 32, the second connector portion 37 can be formed integrally with the main body portion 31 as shown in the drawing, or a member separate from the main body portion 31 is attached to the main body portion 31 through appropriate attachment means. You can also. The first connector portion 36 can be attached to the main body portion 31 separately from the main body portion 31 as in the illustrated example, or can be formed integrally with the main body portion 31.

FIG. 5 is also a drawing showing an example of the clamp member 18 that can be used in the present invention. In this drawing, the clamp member 18 and the hood 3 are shown, and the mask 2 is not shown. The clamp member 18 extends along the annular member 23 and can be hooked on a first portion 41 that fits from the outside to the member 23 and a protruding portion 43 formed on the annular member 23. And a second portion 42 formed at each end of the first portion 41.

FIG. 6 is a partial view of the clamp member 18 and the hood 3 in FIG. 5, and the clamp member 18 is in a state where each of the second portions 42 is removed from the protruding portion 43. In the clamp member 18, the first portion 41 has a groove whose inner peripheral surface can be fitted into the rib 21, and each of the second portions 42 has a through hole 44 through which the projection 43 can enter and exit. . For example, after the projection 43 has been inserted into the through hole 44 of one second portion 42, the clamp member 18 is fitted into the first member 41 with the annular member 23, and then the through hole of the other second portion 42. By causing the protrusion 43 to enter 44, the state shown in FIG. The clamp member 18 can be elastically extended in the circumferential direction in the drawing, that is, the length direction thereof, and the clamp member 18 when used as shown in FIG. 5 is preferably in an extended state. .

FIG. 7 is a view similar to FIG. 2 showing an example of an embodiment of the present invention, but only a part of the mask assembly 1 is shown. In the mask assembly 1 of the illustrated example, a convex portion 71 is formed on the rib 21 at the top of the mask 2. Moreover, the 2nd convex part 72 which has the recessed part 74 which fits with respect to the 1st convex part 71 from the upper direction is formed in the annular member 23 of the food | hood 3 at the top part. Furthermore, the 3rd convex part 73 which has the recessed part 75 fitted in the top part of the clamp member 18 so that it can detach | leave from the 2nd convex part 72 from upper direction is formed. If the annular member 23 is attached to the rib 21 by using the first convex portion 71 as a positioning guide for the worn mask 2, the positional relationship between the mask 2 and the hood 3 is always constant. Further, if the clamp member 18 is attached to the annular member 23 using the second convex portion 72 as a positioning guide, the positional relationship between the hood 3 and the clamp member 18 is always constant. 7 can be implemented in the mask assembly 1 illustrated in FIGS. In addition, the 2nd, 3rd convex parts 72 and 73 of FIG. 7 are partially broken and shown.

In the present invention, the vertical dimension of the hood 3 used integrally with the mask 2 can be freely set so that a required part of the body of the mask wearer can be covered. That is, the hood 3 can be made so as to cover only the head of the wearer, or can be made so as to cover almost the entire body. In the illustrated example, the rib 21 formed on the lip portion 7 of the mask 2 can be replaced with a rib formed on the front surface portion 6.

According to the present invention, it is possible to manufacture a mask assembly in which the hood does not move in the front-rear direction with respect to the mask.
