Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a baseball or softball butter capable of extending a flight distance and a method of manufacturing the same.
For baseball and softball, bats with greater distance are attractive. For example, many knocks are repeated for catching practice, but when flying the ball to the outfield, the flying distance must be given. As such a soft baseball knock bat, at least one of the teams, A flying bat is desired.
The bat as used in the present invention is not limited to a metal bat made of an aluminum alloy, but also includes a bat made of a material that is easy to process and a synthetic resin material such as FRP containing carbon fiber. The bat includes a tip portion, a hitting ball portion, a tapered portion, and a grip portion. The present invention relates to an improvement in a parallel hitting ball portion having the largest diameter among them.
The thing of this
Moreover, as for the bat described in the
In view of the above circumstances, the present invention provides a bat that extends the hitting distance of the hit ball as compared with the conventional one, conforms to the standards of baseball and softball equipment, and can fly the ball forward, and a method for manufacturing the same. This is the issue.
In order to achieve the above-mentioned object, the present invention provides a cylindrical cross-sectional shape of a cylindrical hitting ball portion that does not include a tapered portion of the bat, a valley having a concave surface and a mountain of a convex portion on the circumference of the bat. Therefore, rubber, resin, and leather that are provided in a plurality of rows alternately and in parallel, and that are formed into a cylindrical shape so that the convex and concave portions are formed in a curved surface that is rounded outward and the concave and convex portions do not appear on the bat surface. A baseball or softball bat made of metal, made of FRP containing a metal, wooden or carbon fiber or having a bat surface coated with a sheet such as, or the like.
In addition, a plurality of concave valleys and convex peaks are alternately provided in parallel on the bat surface of the cylindrical hitting ball portion not including the taper portion by cutting with a lathe using a total shape tool, and the convex shape This constitutes a method for manufacturing a wooden baseball or softball bat having a curved surface rounded outward.
Further, in the axial direction of the bat of the cylindrical hitting ball portion not including the tapered portion, a plurality of concave valleys and convex peaks are alternately provided in parallel by machining with a lathe using a spatula or a roller, and the convex The manufacturing method of the metal baseball or softball bat which formed the shape part in the curved surface rounded toward the outer side is comprised.
Furthermore, a cylindrical striking ball portion not including the taper portion of the bat is provided with a plurality of strips having a concave portion and a convex portion on the surface alternately in parallel, and the convex portion is rounded outward. A method for manufacturing a baseball or softball bat made of synthetic resin made of carbon fiber-containing FRP or the like manufactured by using a mold is used to form a curved surface.
In the baseball or softball bat of the present invention, the curved surface of the concavo-convex portion is provided in the hit ball portion, so that the area in contact with the ball or the area repelling the ball at the time of hitting is close to the linear contact, and the contact area is small. Therefore, the deformation of the hit ball is reduced and the flight distance can be extended.
Also, since the contact area between the bat and the ball is reduced, the frictional force between the ball and the bat at the time of hitting is also reduced, and if the bat does not hit the center of the hole, the degree of slippage and fouling is increased. However, as in the present invention, by covering the bat surface with a sheet of rubber, resin, leather, etc. processed into a cylindrical shape, the reduction in frictional force between the ball and the bat is eliminated, and the ball is moved forward. The effect of skipping was obtained.
Since the baseball or softball bat of the present invention is composed of a single material, there is no fear of peeling, and the cross-sectional shape in the axial direction of the bat of the cylindrical hitting ball portion not including the taper portion of the bat has a surface By providing a large number of concave and convex valleys and convex ridges alternately in parallel along the circumference of the bat, the bat has a durability that is about 2-3 times stronger than the conventional bat. .
In the baseball or softball bat of the present invention, since the concavo-convex portion is buried in the rubber, resin or leather sheet attached to the hitting portion of the bat, there is no sense of incongruity, and the standard for baseball or softball equipment It can also be used to fly the ball forward.
The baseball or softball bat of the present invention can be easily processed at low cost if it is made of wood or synthetic resin.
Hereinafter, the bat of the present invention will be described in detail with reference to examples.
FIG. 1 is a front view including a virtual ball at the time of hitting a soft baseball knock bat made of the wooden material of the present invention. FIG. 2 is a plan view showing the contact area of the ball at the time of hitting, in which the product of the present invention is compared with the conventional product.
The
On the surface of the

FIG. 1 shows a
Next, the contact area (%) was compared with the conventional product bat having parallel hitting portions. FIG. 2 shows an example of the contact area% obtained by photographing the side surface at the moment of hitting with a high-speed camera (not shown) and enlarging and analyzing it on a plane. In FIG. 2, 11 is a sphere, and the conventional bat has a circular surface contact with a large contact area A. On the other hand, in the bat of the present invention, only the tops of the convex portions are in contact with each other, so that the

FIG. 3 is a cross-sectional view of a soft baseball bat made of the aluminum alloy of the present invention.
The

FIG. 3 shows a
Next, the contact area% was compared with the conventional product bat having a parallel hitting portion. Since the contact area% is the same method as the measurement method of the contact area of Example 1, details are omitted. Although the contact area is not shown, the deformation of the sphere is repelled by contacting the tops of the
