Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an image processing apparatus, and more particularly to an image processing apparatus capable of switching a plurality of observation modes.
2. Description of the Related Art Endoscope apparatuses that include an endoscope, a light source device, and an image processing apparatus as main parts have been widely used in the medical field and the like. In particular, endoscope apparatuses in the medical field are mainly used for applications in which a user performs procedures such as in-vivo examination and observation.
What is generally known as observation using an endoscope apparatus in the medical field is, for example, normal observation in which a living body is irradiated with white light and an in-vivo image that is substantially the same as observation with the naked eye is taken. In addition, by taking an image of autofluorescence emitted by living tissue in the living body when the living body is irradiated with excitation light having a specific wavelength band, and observing the autofluorescent image, There is fluorescence observation that can discriminate the lesion site.
Moreover, as an observation using an endoscope apparatus in the medical field, for example, a narrow-band light observation is performed by irradiating a living body with narrow-band light that has a narrower band than the irradiation light in normal observation. (NBI: Narrow Band Imaging) is also performed. In narrow-band light observation, it becomes possible to observe blood vessels on the surface of the mucosa with higher contrast.
Furthermore, as an observation using an endoscope apparatus in the medical field, for example, there is an infrared light observation in which near-infrared light, which is light having a near-infrared band, is irradiated into a living body for observation. Has been done. In infrared light observation, indocyanine green (ICG), a drug that absorbs light in the near-infrared band, is injected into a blood vessel, so that blood circulation in the submucosal depth that cannot be seen in normal observation is observed. It becomes possible to observe the dynamics.
For example, the image processing apparatus proposed in
In the fluorescence observation described above, the autofluorescence emitted from the living tissue in the living body is weak. For this reason, imaging of autofluorescent images emitted by living tissue in a living body can be achieved by, for example, reducing the rotation speed of a rotary filter provided in the light source device compared to normal observation, thereby increasing the exposure time compared to normal observation. It is done after time. Therefore, for example, the period until the observation mode of the endoscope apparatus switches from normal observation to fluorescence observation, that is, until the rotation speed of the rotary filter changes from the rotation speed suitable for normal observation to the rotation speed suitable for fluorescence observation. During this period, there is a problem that a still image unsuitable for recording is output. And as mentioned above, the proposal regarding the subject is not made | formed in the

Here, the
As shown in FIG. 2, the
As shown in FIG. 11, the
In the present embodiment, the
Further, on the rear end side of the
The
As shown in FIG. 3, the
The
The
As shown in FIG. 6, the
The excitation light cut
The

In this case, the time-series imaging signals are the R, G, and B color signals in the normal observation mode, and the G2 signal, the fluorescence signal, and the R2 signal in the fluorescence observation mode. In the narrow-band observation mode and the infrared observation mode, the signal corresponds to each illumination light.
The imaging signal output from the

Here, image processing that is effective in the normal observation mode will be described.

Here, image processing that is effective in each observation mode other than the normal observation mode will be described.

The control circuit 40 outputs a write signal to the
When the control circuit 40 detects that the switching from the normal observation mode to the fluorescence observation mode is performed in the process shown in step S1 of FIG. 13, the control circuit 40 causes the synchronization circuit 53 to execute the process shown in step S2 of FIG. On the other hand, a control is performed to generate and output a still image by outputting a switching signal.

The control circuit 40 counts a predetermined time in the processing shown in step S5 and step S6 in FIG. Note that when the switching from the normal observation mode to the fluorescence observation mode is performed, the predetermined time is, for example, 3 seconds.
When the control circuit 40 detects that the predetermined time has elapsed, it resumes outputting the write signal to the
After that, the control circuit 40 causes the synchronization circuit 53 to restart the output of the moving image in the process shown in step S8 of FIG. Processing suitable for moving image output, such as changing the image size displayed on the
The image size changing process performed in the subsequent image processing circuit 51 is, for example, an image displayed on the
Here, processing for generating a still image and switching a moving image performed in the synchronization circuit 53 will be described.
In the case of
For example, when the process shown in step S2 of FIG. 13 is performed, when the switching signal output from the control circuit 40 is input at the timing of
In addition, when the control circuit 40 outputs the switching signal to the synchronization circuit 53 at the timing of
Thereafter, when the control circuit 40 outputs the switching completion signal to the synchronization circuit 53 at the timing of the
Note that the synchronization circuit 53 is not limited to the one that cancels the stop of the writing of the imaging signals to the three frame memories (not shown) at the timing when the switching completion signal from the control circuit 40 is input. For example, the synchronization circuit 53 cancels the stop of writing to three frame memories (not shown) at a predetermined timing suitable for an observation mode such as fluorescence observation after the switching completion signal from the control circuit 40 is input. It may be a thing.
As described above, when switching from one observation mode to another observation mode is performed, a process of displaying a still image on the
When one observation mode is the fluorescence observation mode and the other observation mode is the normal observation mode, the control circuit 40 causes the
Note that the synchronization circuit 53, which is a part of the freeze image generation means and serves as a storage means, has a configuration for generating and outputting odd field and even field images in order to display images on the
Further, the still image output from the synchronization circuit 53 in the process shown in step S2 of FIG. 13 may be an image obtained by applying an image in an odd field to an image in an even field.
Note that the processing shown in FIG. 13 described above is not limited to that applied when the
As shown in FIG. 12, the
Here, further, processing performed by the
In the
Specifically, for example, as illustrated in FIG. 14, when the freeze instruction is performed at the timing F <b> 2, that is, the
Further, for example, as shown in FIG. 14, the time series number that is the timing when the freeze instruction is
The color
The color
Specifically, when the color
When the color
The color
Thereafter, when the color
Further, the pre-freeze process performed in the color
For example, when the processing level value is set to 1 and the freeze operation is performed at the timing F2 shown in FIG. 14, the color
Further, for example, when the processing level value is set to 2 and the freeze operation is performed at the timing F2 shown in FIG. 14, the color
Further, for example, when the processing level value is set as 3 and the freeze operation is performed at the timing F2 shown in FIG. 14, the color
As described above, the color
Further, the color
Specifically, the color
When the color
