Description

The present invention relates to a spare tire cover for an automobile, and more particularly, to a spare tire cover for covering a spare tire mounted almost horizontally below the floor of a vehicle body.

Conventionally, as shown in FIG. 6, in a four-wheel drive SUV vehicle or the like, a vehicle (FIG. 6A) of a type in which a spare tire 10 is provided on the rear side of the vehicle body via a back door or stay of the vehicle body, There is a type of vehicle (Fig. 6 (b)) installed under the floor.

In the vehicle of the type equipped on the rear surface of the vehicle body, the spare tire 10 is covered with a spare tire cover 60 for the purpose of preventing the deterioration of rubber and improving the appearance of the rear portion of the vehicle body when the spare tire 10 is exposed to direct sunlight. It has been broken. On the other hand, in a vehicle of the type installed under the floor of the rear part of the vehicle body, an equipment space is provided on the lower surface of the rear floor of the floor panel. 10 is rolled up and fixed. In this case, there is no need to block the direct sunlight on the spare tire 10, and the spare tire 10 does not show much appearance on the exterior of the vehicle body. The tire 10 is not covered with a cover member.
Japanese Utility Model Laid-Open No. 6-78174 (term 3, Fig. 5)

However, the spare tire 10 installed under the floor is contaminated with dirt, muddy water, or the like that the rear wheel splashes when the vehicle is traveling. For this reason, an operator who handles the spare tire 10 becomes dirty when the tire is replaced by puncture or the like, or the appearance of the vehicle is not good when the dirty tire is worn. Further, the spare tire 10 installed under the floor is hit with a stepping stone raised by the rear wheel, and the rubber is easily damaged or the wheel is easily damaged. Further, when the spare tire 10 is attached to and detached from the floor of the vehicle body, the tire 10 has to be taken in and out of the vehicle body in a horizontal posture, and the rubber of the tire 10 is rubbed and damaged by the ground.

Accordingly, in view of the above circumstances, the present invention covers a spare tire installed under the floor of the vehicle body to shield the dust and muddy water that has been rolled up to prevent the tire from being soiled, and to protect the tire by shielding stepping stones and the like. It is an object of the present invention to provide a spare tire cover for an automobile that can be used and that can easily cover and take out a spare tire and improve the attaching and detaching operation of the spare tire to and under the floor of the vehicle body.

The present invention relates to a spare tire cover that covers a spare tire that is mounted almost horizontally under the floor of a car body of an automobile. The spare tire cover has a circular bottom surface and an annular shape that extends upward from the outer peripheral edge of the bottom surface portion. And a top surface portion made of a soft sheet material extending from the peripheral edge of the upper end of the lateral surface portion, and the upper end periphery of the upper surface portion has an opening diameter of the upper peripheral edge. A reduced diameter member is provided to cover the upper surface of the spare tire stored in the spare tire cover with the upper surface portion. In addition, a moving member is provided on the bottom surface of the bottom portion to roll the spare tire in a horizontal posture by rolling on the ground when the spare tire is attached or detached. The spare tire cover prevents dirt and muddy water from getting dirty, and protects the spare tire from flying stones. Since the spare tire cover has a cylindrical container shape and the upper opening is reduced in diameter by the reduced diameter member, the spare tire can be easily covered. Also, it is easy to remove the cover from the spare tire. Further, since the spare tire is moved on the ground in a horizontal posture by the moving member provided on the lower surface of the spare tire cover, it is possible to easily carry the vehicle body under the floor and move from the floor when the spare tire is attached or detached.

The bottom part and the side part are integrally formed of a hard material, and the upper part made of a soft sheet material is connected to the upper edge of the side part (claim 2). Since the bottom and side portions of the cover are formed of a hard material, the shape is not lost, and since the upper surface portion is formed of a soft sheet material, the diameter of the opening can be easily reduced, and the spare tire can be easily covered and removed. Moreover, the protection performance which protects a tire from a flying stone etc. with the said hard material is high.

The bottom surface portion, the side surface portion, and the top surface portion are integrally formed of the soft sheet material, and a reinforcing plate is provided along the bottom surface portion, and a supporting member that supports the moving member is fixed to the reinforcing plate. (Claim 3). Since it is integrally formed of a soft sheet material, the structure can be simplified. In addition, since the reinforcing plate is provided along the bottom surface portion, the reinforcing plate supports the spare tire when the ground moves, and the spare tire is protected from the stepping stone or the like by the reinforcing plate when the spare tire under the vehicle body floor is equipped.

According to the present invention, since the spare tire installed under the floor of the vehicle body is covered with the spare tire cover, the tire is not contaminated by the dust or muddy water that is wound up, and the worker can be prevented from getting dirty when replacing the tire. , The appearance of the car body after the tires can be kept good. In addition, tires and wheels can be protected from flying stones. In addition, it is easy to cover and remove the spare tire and to move the spare tire smoothly in the horizontal position using the moving member, improving the workability of attaching and removing the spare tire under the vehicle floor. it can.

A first embodiment of a spare tire cover of the present invention for covering a spare tire installed under the floor of a vehicle body will be described. The structure for mounting the spare tire under the vehicle body floor is a conventionally known structure. As shown in FIG. 3, a winding device 40 capable of winding up or feeding the chain 50 downward is installed under the floor at the rear of the vehicle body. The chain 50 sent out from the take-up device 40 is engaged with the center of the wheel of the spare tire 10, and the operation hand 41 detachably connected to the take-up device 40 is rotated in one direction to wind up the chain 50. The spare tire 10 is pulled up to fix the spare tire 10 under the floor. To remove the spare tire 10 from under the floor, the operation handle 41 is rotated in the opposite direction, the chain 50 is sent downward, the spare tire 10 is lowered to the ground, and the chain 50 is removed. In both cases of attachment and removal, the operator moves the spare tire 10 almost horizontally along the ground.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the spare tire cover 20 is opened upward by a circular bottom surface portion 21 made of a hard synthetic resin and a side surface portion 22 rising upward from the outer peripheral edge of the bottom surface portion 21. It is integrally formed in a cylindrical container shape. The diameter of the bottom surface portion 21 is slightly larger than the diameter of the spare tire 10, and the height dimension of the side surface portion 22 is approximately the same as the tire width of the spare tire 10, and is surrounded by the bottom surface portion 21 and the side surface portion 22. The spare tire 10 can be easily put in and out of the storage space in a horizontal posture.

An upper surface portion 23 is provided on the upper portion of the spare tire cover 20 so as to extend the side surface portion 22 upward from the peripheral edge of the upper end of the side surface portion 22. The upper surface portion 23 is composed of a canvas as a soft sheet material in which the surface of the woven fabric is coated with a synthetic resin material such as vinyl chloride, and the lower end outer peripheral surface of the upper surface portion 23 is superimposed on the upper end inner peripheral surface of the side surface portion 22. It is fixed. The height dimension of the upper surface part 23 is set to a dimension of about one half to one third of the radius of the bottom surface part 21.

The upper surface part 23 constitutes an upper opening 25 of the spare tire cover 20, and a thin belt-like rubber band member 24 that can be expanded and contracted is attached to the upper edge of the upper surface part 23. The rubber band member 24 is sewn around the upper edge of the upper surface portion 23 in an extended state, and serves as a diameter reducing member that reduces the diameter of the upper opening 25. As described above, the upper surface portion 23 provided with the rubber band member 24 is expanded so that the rubber band member 24 is in an extended state and the upper opening 25 is at least approximately the same as or slightly larger than the diameter of the storage space (the diameter of the side surface portion 22). When the rubber band member 24 is in the contracted state, the upper surface portion 23 falls inward, and the upper opening 25 is reduced in diameter to about one-half to one-third of the expansion time.

A ball member 26 as a plurality of (four in the illustrated example) moving members capable of rolling on the ground surface is attached to the bottom surface portion 21 of the spare tire cover 20 on the lower surface side. The ball member 26 as a moving member has a conventionally known structure and is formed of a steel ball. The ball member 26 is incorporated in a container-shaped metal support member 27 that opens downward so that a part of the spherical surface protrudes from the opening and is freely rotatable. Each ball member 26 is arranged near the outer periphery of the bottom surface of the bottom surface portion 21 with a part of the spherical surface protruding from the support member 27 facing downward, and the support member 27 is fastened to the bottom surface side of the bottom surface portion 21 with a screw member. It is. If the head of the screw member protrudes toward the spare tire, the spare tire may be damaged. Therefore, the head of the screw member is not protruded when each support member 27 is fastened to the bottom surface portion 21. For example, a countersunk screw is used as a screw member, and a countersunk is formed around the through hole through which the countersunk screw penetrates on the upper surface side of the bottom surface part 21, and the countersunk screw penetrates the bottom surface part 21 from the spare tire side and projects downward. It is desirable that the nut member is fastened to the screw shaft so that the dish-shaped head portion of the screw member is buried in the dished portion on the upper surface of the bottom surface portion 21.

In order to cover the spare tire 10 with the spare tire cover 20, the operation is performed with the spare tire 10 removed from the vehicle body. The spare tire cover 20 is placed on the ground in a place where it is easy to work, the upper opening 25 is expanded while the rubber band member 24 is extended, and the spare tire 10 is stored in the storage space in a horizontal posture. After the tire is stored, the rubber band member 24 contracts and the upper surface 23 falls inward while the upper opening 25 is reduced in diameter, and the upper surface 23 covers the tire upper surface of the spare tire 10. And the spare tire 10 is carried in under the floor of the vehicle body rear part with a horizontal attitude | position. In this case, since each ball member 26 rolls on the ground, it can move smoothly. After the carry-in, the spare tire 10 is rolled up by the vehicle winder 40 and mounted under the floor. When replacing with a spare tire by puncture or the like, the spare tire 10 is lowered to the ground under the floor by the hoisting device 40, and the spare tire 10 is moved to a place where it is easy to work in a horizontal posture. Then, the spare tire 10 is taken out while the rubber band member 24 of the spare tire cover 20 is extended to expand the diameter of the upper opening 25.

According to the present embodiment, the spare tire cover 20 has the bottom surface portion 21 and the side surface portion 22 formed of a hard material, so that the storage space is not deformed, the upper surface portion 23 is formed of canvas, and the upper portion is formed by the rubber belt member 24. Since the diameter of the opening 25 is reduced, the workability of the spare tire 10 covering work is good. In a state where the spare tire 10 is mounted under the floor of the vehicle body, the spare tire cover 20 shields dust, muddy water, and the like that the rear wheel splashes when the vehicle is running, thereby preventing the spare tire 10 from being soiled. Although the upper opening 25 is not completely closed, when the spare tire 10 is mounted under the vehicle body floor, the outer periphery of the upper surface of the tire comes into contact with the tire receiving surface portion installed on the lower surface of the vehicle body to close the opening 25. Therefore, dust and muddy water do not enter the spare tire cover 20. Therefore, when it is necessary to replace the spare tire 10 by puncture or the like, the worker who replaces the tire does not get dirty, and the tire is not dirty even after the tire replacement, so that the appearance of the vehicle body appearance is not impaired. Further, the bottom surface portion 21 and the side surface portion 22 of the spare tire cover 20 made of a hard material reliably protect the spare tire 10 from the stepping stones that the rear wheel springs up.

When the spare tire 10 is attached to and detached from the vehicle floor, the spare tire 10 is lowered to the ground in a horizontal posture (FIG. 3). In this case, the ball member 26 provided on the lower surface of the spare tire cover 20 is grounded, and The ground can be moved freely, and the spare tire 10 can be easily carried under the vehicle body floor and moved to the outside under the floor. Since the spare tire 10 and the spare tire cover 20 are not rubbed against the ground, they are not damaged.

Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. The basic structure of the embodiment of the present invention is substantially the same as that of the previous embodiment. Hereinafter, the differences will be mainly described, and the same members are denoted by the same reference numerals in the drawings. The spare tire cover 20 of the present embodiment has a cylindrical container shape in which a bottom surface portion 21, a side surface portion 22, and an upper surface portion 23 are integrally formed of a soft sheet material canvas.

The upper peripheral edge of the upper surface portion 23 is formed in a bag shape by folding the terminal toward the inner surface and sewing the folded end to the inner surface of the upper surface portion 23. A rubber string member 24a, which is a reduced diameter member for reducing the diameter of the upper opening 25, is inserted into the bag at the upper peripheral edge of the upper surface portion 23.

Inside the spare tire cover 20, a reinforcing plate 28 made of a hard synthetic resin disk is provided along the bottom surface portion 21. The reinforcing plate 28 is formed to have substantially the same diameter as the bottom surface portion 21, and the reinforcing plate 28 and the bottom surface portion 21 are overlapped and fixed. The ball member 26 as a plurality of moving means installed on the lower surface of the spare tire cover 20 has a screw member for fixing the support member 27 passing through the bottom surface portion 21 and fastened to the reinforcing plate 28. Also in this case, similarly to the first embodiment, the head of the screw member is prevented from protruding toward the spare tire.

According to the present embodiment, the same effects as those of the first embodiment can be obtained, and the bottom surface portion 21, the side surface portion 22, and the top surface portion 23 are integrally formed by the canvas, so that the structure can be simplified. And since it is not bulky at the time of non-use compared with 1st Embodiment, storability is good. Further, since the bottom surface portion 21 is reinforced with the reinforcing plate 28, the strength against the stepping stone is sufficient when the vehicle body is mounted under the floor, and the tire protection performance can be sufficiently exhibited. Further, the reinforcing plate 28 supports the spare tire 10 in a state where the ball members 26 on the lower surface of the cover are installed on the ground when the tire is attached to and detached from the underfloor, and can be smoothly carried into the underfloor and moved out of the underfloor.

In addition, all the above-mentioned embodiments are illustrations and do not limit the scope of the present invention, and the present invention includes various modifications and changes to the above-described embodiments. For example, as the diameter reducing member for reducing the diameter of the opening 25 of the spare tire cover 20, the rubber band member 24 is used in the first embodiment, and the rubber cord member 24a is used in the second embodiment. The rubber string member 24a may be used in the first embodiment, the rubber band member 24 may be used in the second embodiment, and the bag member formed on the periphery of the opening 25 may be a string member having no elasticity as a reduced diameter member. The string member may be used to narrow the periphery of the opening 25 into a purse-like shape. Further, the moving member is not limited to the ball member 26, and rollers (rollers) may be used. However, the ball member 26 has a higher degree of freedom in the movement direction. Furthermore, depending on the type of vehicle, some of the spare tires that are installed under the rear floor of the vehicle body are exposed from the rear lower part of the vehicle body. If printed, the spare tire cover 20 can be used for decoration. In the second embodiment, the reinforcing plate 28 is circular. However, the shape is not limited to this, and the reinforcing plate 28 may be a square having a size capable of supporting a spare tire, or may be a metal plate instead of a synthetic resin plate. Further, in any of the above-described embodiments, the soft cloth sheet canvas used is a cloth coated with a synthetic resin material on the surface of the woven cloth. However, the present invention is not limited to this. Good. Further, the mounting position of each ball member 26 may be provided at a position closer to the center of the lower surface of the spare tire cover 20 and at an inner position than the outer periphery of the wheel portion of the spare tire. Protruding into the cover will not damage the tire.
