移動体通信網に接続され、移動体通信端末と無線で通信し、通信可能範囲に無線LANの基地局が存在するか否かを示す基地局存在情報を前記移動体通信端末に送信する移動体通信基地局と、
前記移動体通信基地局から受信した基地局存在情報に応じて、無線LAN通信機能を活かす前記移動体通信端末とを備えた移動体通信システムであって、
前記移動体通信端末は、
前記移動体通信基地局と通信を行う移動体通信手段と、
前記無線LANの基地局と通信を行う無線LAN通信手段と、
前記移動体通信手段が無線LANの基地局が存在することを示す基地局存在情報を受信すると、前記無線LAN通信手段に電力を供給する制御手段と
を備えたことを特徴とする移動体通信システム。
