Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a lubricant supply body for supplying a lubricant to a site to be lubricated, and a rolling bearing, a linear guide and a ball screw provided with the lubricant supply body.
Generally, parts that require lubricity such as bearings are filled with a lubricating composition such as lubricating oil or semi-solid grease. However, since these lubricating compositions fluidize not only with lubricating oil but also with semi-solid grease as the temperature rises when the bearing rotates, a sealing plate is used to prevent these lubricating compositions from scattering. The filling portion must be sealed with a sealing member such as a complicated structure, and the sealing member may not be attached in some cases, such as a small bearing.
Therefore, as a lubrication method that does not require a sealing member, a lubricant supply composition in which a lubricant and a resin are mixed and solidified has been developed and put into practical use. This resin-based lubricant supply composition is one in which the lubricating oil retained in the resin oozes out on the surface of the resin and exhibits a lubricating action. For example, polyethylene containing lubricating oil (see
However, since the lubricant supply composition comprising polyethylene and lubricating oil or grease is based on polyethylene, it begins to soften at about 80 ° C. and completely melts at 130-140 ° C. Therefore, at a high temperature of 80 ° C. or higher, the mechanical strength is reduced, and there is a risk that when the roller is filled and used, the rolling element is deformed or broken with the rotation of the rolling element and detached from the filling portion. Polyethylene, which is a polyolefin-based synthetic resin, has no polar functional group, bond (for example, amide bond), or aromatic ring in the molecule, and therefore a highly polar lubricating oil such as ester oil or polyphenyl ether oil. In addition, the grease based on the lubricating oil is poorly compatible, and when these lubricants are contained alone or in combination with a low polarity oil, 50 wt% or more is included in the entire lubricant supply composition. It was difficult to form a lubricant supply body in which the amount of lubricant was 50 wt% or more. Moreover, even if it was able to be formed, since polyethylene has a poor ability to hold a highly polar lubricant, the lubricant may ooze out early and lose the ability to supply the lubricant.
Therefore, the object of the present invention is to solve the above-mentioned problems, and can be used at a high temperature of 100 to 120 ° C., and has excellent mechanical strength, such as ester oil and polyphenyl ether oil as main components. An object of the present invention is to provide a lubricant supply body that stably holds a lubricating oil having a large polarity and a grease based on the lubricating oil.
In order to achieve the above object, the lubricant supplier of the present invention is represented by A) a hard component composed of an aromatic polyester and an aliphatic polyester represented by the following general formula (I) or the following general formula (II). A polyester elastomer formed from a soft component comprising an aromatic polyether, and B) a first lubricating oil having a high compatibility with the polyester elastomer or a grease based on the first lubricating oil; The second lubricating oil having a low compatibility with the polyester elastomer or a mixture of grease based on the second lubricating oil, and the second lubricating oil or its grease with respect to the total amount of the mixture A mixed lubricant occupying 3 to 25 wt%,
The polyester elastomer is solidified in a state containing the mixed lubricant, and the first and second lubricating oils ooze from the surface.
In addition, the present invention provides a rolling bearing, a linear guide, and a ball screw provided with the lubricant supplier.
The lubricant supply body of the present invention can be used at a high temperature (100 to 120 ° C.) that cannot be used with a conventional polyethylene base because the polyester elastomer as a base has high heat resistance. .
Further, as a lubricant, a lubricant having a high polarity such as an ester oil highly compatible with a polyester elastomer and a lubricant having a low polarity such as a poly-α-olefin oil having a low compatibility are mixed. As a whole, the compatibility (polarity) decreases moderately, and the amount of the lubricant supplied to the outside as the lubricant supply body increases over a long period of time, and the lubrication life is also improved accordingly.
Furthermore, since the polyester elastomer has flexibility compared to polyethylene, it is particularly suitable for applications that require deformation such as sealing.
Further, by adding polycarbodiimide (polyvalent carbodiimide), the carbodiimide group present in the molecular structure reacts with the carboxylic acid generated by hydrolysis to suppress hydrolysis, so that the lubricant supplier of the present invention is used. Even when used in applications where a large amount of water is present, it is possible to reduce the decrease in mechanical strength due to hydrolysis.
Hereinafter, the lubricant supply body according to the present invention will be described in detail.
First, the polyester elastomer that can be used in the present invention will be described. This polyester elastomer is formed from a hard component composed of an aromatic polyester and a soft component composed of an aliphatic polyester represented by the following general formula (I) or an aromatic polyether represented by the following general formula (II). The The hard component is responsible for the mechanical properties of the polyester elastomer as a whole, particularly hardness and heat resistance, and the soft component has an action of retaining a lubricant in the structure. Therefore, the lubricant supply body of the present invention has excellent heat resistance and mechanical properties, and a lubricant holding ability. Polyester elastomers are more flexible than polyethylene and are particularly suitable for applications that require deformation, such as bearing seals.
The aromatic polyester serving as the hard component is a crystalline polyester, and specific examples include polyethylene terephthalate, polybutylene terephthalate, and a polymer of polytetramethylene glycol and 2,6-naphthalenedicarboxylic acid. These aromatic polyesters may be used alone or in combination of two or more.
Any combination of the above-mentioned hard component and soft component is possible, but the main application of the present invention (filler replacing rolling bearing grease, sandwiched between the side seal of the linear guide device and the slider body) In particular, polybutylene terephthalate is hard when considering members that also serve as seals, members that are attached to the end face of ball screws, self-aligning roller bearing rollers, and the inner ring, outer ring, and guide ring. A polyester elastomer as a component is preferred.
Moreover, in the said use, it is preferable that the hardness as a polyester elastomer is the range of 40-60 (Shore D), especially 45-55 (Shore D). The lower the hardness, the more lubricant can be contained, but softening by inclusion makes it 40 (Shore D) is the lower limit in view of mechanical strength. On the other hand, when the hardness exceeds 60 (Shore D), the soft component holding the lubricant is reduced accordingly, and it becomes difficult to contain a large amount of lubricant exceeding 50% by weight. Therefore, the ratio of the hard component to the soft component is adjusted so that the hardness of the polyester elastomer is in the above range. This hardness can also be adjusted by the lengths a and b of the repeating units of the general formula (I) or the general formula (II) that are soft components.
The lubricant supply body of the present invention can be obtained by adding a lubricant to the polyester elastomer. The lubricant that can be used in the present invention includes a first lubricating oil that is highly compatible with the polyester elastomer or a grease that uses the first lubricating oil as a base oil, and a second lubricating oil that is low in compatibility with the polyester elastomer. It is a lubricant mixed with a lubricating oil or a grease based on this second lubricating oil.
The first lubricating oil needs to have high compatibility when heated above the melting point of the polyester elastomer. The high compatibility mentioned here is a system in which there are very many lubricants in a weight ratio of about 1: 1, and they are completely compatible at the melting point or higher and are not separated into two layers even after cooling and solidification. It is a state where they are integrated. Specific lubricants that are highly compatible with the polyester elastomer include tetraphenyl ethers shown below,
Polyphenyl ether oils such as pentaphenyl ether, dioctyl sebacate, dioctyl phthalate, trioctyl trimellitate, triisodecyl trimellitate, tetraoctyl pyromellitate, pentaerythritol tetraester, dipentaerythritol hexaester, etc. There are polyalkylene glycol oils, and among them, those having a phenyl group in the structure are more compatible and suitable.
In the case of using grease, the first lubricating oil is used as a base oil, and a thickener such as Li soap or urea is added thereto. It is preferable to use grease because the state before solidification is semi-solid, so that it can be easily filled in a bearing or the like. However, when the polyester elastomer is in the form of pellets, it is difficult to mix even if heated and mixed at a melting point or higher, and it is better to use pellets that have been powdered by freezing and grinding. In the case of lubricating oil, it is not necessary to be in powder form.
As the second lubricating oil, an oil having a small polarity such as an alkyl diphenyl ether oil having a long alkyl chain length such as octadecyl diphenyl ether, a poly α-olefin oil, or a mineral oil can be used. When using grease, this second lubricating oil is used as a base oil, and a thickener such as Li soap or urea is added thereto.
The mixing ratio between the first lubricating oil or its grease and the second lubricating oil or its grease is such that the second lubricating oil or its grease is 3 to 25 wt%, more preferably 5 with respect to the total amount of the mixed lubricant. Occupy ~ 15 wt%. When the amount of the second lubricating oil or its grease is less than 3 wt%, the compatibility between the polyester elastomer and the mixed lubricant is too good, and the amount of lubricant released over time is small. It becomes difficult to maintain the function for a long time. On the other hand, when the mixing amount exceeds 25 wt%, the polarity of the entire mixed lubricant becomes low, and it becomes difficult to solidify with the polyester elastomer and the lubricant amount as described later.
The ratio of the mixed lubricant to the polyester elastomer is 40-80 wt%, preferably 50-70 wt%, of the mixed lubricant in the lubricant supply body. If the lubricant is less than 40 wt%, the amount of lubricant supplied is too small and the ability to supply the lubricant is lost early. On the other hand, if it exceeds 80 wt%, the amount of the polyester elastomer to be formed is too small, and it becomes difficult to obtain a predetermined mechanical strength.
In addition, the lubricant supply body of the present invention includes additives for preventing deterioration such as antioxidants, ultraviolet absorbers, hydrolysis inhibitors, reinforcing materials such as glass fibers, potassium titanate whiskers, aluminum borate whiskers, or Solid lubricants such as graphite, h-BN, PTFE, and MoS 2 may be added. Antioxidants include hindered phenols such as pentaerythrityl-tetrakis [3- (3,5-t-butyl-4-hydroxyphenyl) propionate] having the following structure, which have heat resistance and oxidation resistance. It is preferable to give an excellent effect. The addition amount is 0.05 to 2 wt% of the total amount of the lubricant supply body. If this antioxidant is less than 0.05 wt%, the heat resistance and the oxidation resistance are hardly improved. Even if added in excess of 2 wt%, the improvement effect of heat resistance and oxidation resistance does not change much, and at the same time, the amount of resin and lubricant is relatively reduced by increasing the amount of addition, leading to deterioration of physical properties. It is not preferable.
Furthermore, in molding and in an environment where a large amount of water exists, the polyester elastomer that is the base resin of the present invention has an ester group in the resin that is cleaved by hydrolysis due to water or the like, resulting in a decrease in molecular weight and mechanical strength. descend. It is also conceivable that the carboxyl group derived from the polyester raw material and the carboxyl group produced by hydrolysis act as an acid catalyst to promote hydrolysis. For such a carboxyl group, a first function for inactivating the hydrolysis promoting catalytic ability by causing the reaction shown below, and a crosslinking reaction with the carboxyl group in the polyester elastomer generated by hydrolysis of the ester group As a hydrolysis-resistant stabilizer that has a second function of linking the cleaved molecules and suppresses the hydrolysis of the polyester elastomer and maintains the initial mechanical properties of the lubricant supply, There are polycarbodiimides having a carbodiimide group (polyvalent carbodiimide). By adding this polycarbodiimide (polyvalent carbodiimide), even if the lubricant supply body of the present invention is used in applications where a large amount of water is present, it is possible to reduce the decrease in the initial mechanical strength. become. The addition amount of polycarbodiimide (polyvalent carbodiimide) is 0.2 to 5 wt% of the total amount of the lubricant supply body. In particular, it is preferably 0.3 to 3 wt%. If the addition amount of polycarbodiimide (polyvalent carbodiimide) is less than 0.2 wt%, the improvement effect of hydrolysis resistance does not appear, and even if it exceeds 5 wt%, the improvement effect of hydrolysis resistance does not change much. At the same time, an increase in the amount added is undesirable because the contents of the resin and the lubricant are relatively reduced, leading to a decrease in physical properties.
The lubricant supply body of the present invention is manufactured as follows. First, a pellet or powdery polyester elastomer and a mixed lubricant are mixed at a temperature equal to or higher than the melting point of the polyester elastomer and uniformly mixed. Next, the mixture in a dissolved state is poured into a mold having a desired shape and solidified by cooling. In addition, although it is possible to manufacture by injection molding, in that case, in an injection molding machine equipped with a normal self-weight hopper, the material that has been cooled and solidified once in the above-mentioned manner is used as it is in a powder or paste form. It is difficult to weigh and mold. Therefore, when an injection molding machine in which the hopper portion described in Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 8-309793 by the present applicant is improved to a pumping type is used, the material can be well meshed with the screw so that it can be metered and molded. become. In this production by injection molding, if a raw material of a normal injection molding grade is used as the polyester elastomer, the melt viscosity becomes too low due to mixing of the mixed lubricant, resulting in increased burrs and the like, and satisfactory molding becomes difficult. Therefore, in order to make the melt viscosity appropriate, when an extrusion grade having an original high melt viscosity (220 to 230 ° C., melt index of 3.0 or less) is used, the melt viscosity is moderately lowered due to mixing of the mixed lubricant. Stable injection molding becomes possible.
Specific application examples of the lubricant supply body of the present invention include a filler instead of grease for a rolling bearing, a lubricant supply member that also serves as a seal sandwiched between a side seal and a slider body of a linear guide device, and a ball screw There is a lubricant supply member or the like attached to the end face.

The present invention will be further described below with reference to examples and comparative examples.
[Compatibility above the melting point and cooling solidification test]
10 g of a polybutylene terephthalate elastomer [Perprene P-70B, Toyobo Co., Ltd .; hardness 46 (Shore D)] is added to 10 g of the lubricant, and the temperature is equal to or higher than the crystal melting point (200 ° C.) of the polybutylene terephthalate elastomer. Specifically, after heating and mixing at 210 to 230 ° C., the mixture was cooled to room temperature. Table 1 shows the types of lubricants and the results of compatibility and cooling solidification tests.
As shown in Table 1, even a lubricating oil having low compatibility with the polyester elastomer becomes compatible with the polyester elastomer when used in combination with a specified amount of highly compatible lubricating oil.
In addition, among the lubricating oils having low compatibility with the polyester elastomer, it has been found that the alkyl diphenyl ether having a slightly higher polarity solidifies uniformly even when the content is higher than that of the poly α-olefin oil.

[Lubricant supply comparison test]
For the above Examples 1 and 2 and Comparative Example, JIS No. 3 tensile test specimens were molded and left at 80 ° C. to perform a lubricant supply amount comparison test.
In the test, the weight was measured over time, and the lubricant supply amount (weight change rate, wt%) was determined from the weight change from the initial stage. The results are shown in FIG.
In Examples 1 and 2, it can be seen that the slope of the straight line is larger than that of the comparative example, and the amount of lubricant supplied per time is increased. Moreover, it can be seen from the comparison between Example 1 and Example 2 that the slope of the straight line also increases as the amount of alkyldiphenyl ether mixed increases.
[Hydrolysis resistance comparison test]
About said Example 1 and 3, the test piece for a JIS3 tension test was shape | molded, respectively, and it was left to stand at 80 degreeC and 90% HR (relative humidity). And it took out 1000 hours later and measured the tensile strength according to the same specification. The measured value at the beginning of the test piece preparation was taken as 100%, and this was compared with the measured value after 1000 hours, and the ratio was taken as the strength retention. The results are shown in Table 2.
As shown in Table 2, it can be seen that the addition of polycarbodiimide (polyvalent carbodiimide) suppresses hydrolysis of the blended components and reduces the decrease in strength.
