Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a cable storage device that stores a cable in a drum-wound state, and more particularly to a cable storage device that is suitable for drawing and wiring an optical drop cable into a subscriber's house such as a general house or a building.
The concept of spreading the optical fiber communication network to the homes of subscribers such as ordinary houses and buildings is progressing concretely, and accordingly, development of various optical fiber cables necessary for the construction of such a communication network is continued. Among these, there is an optical fiber cable, so-called optical drop cable, for drawing and wiring from a wiring system cable installed in the aerial to a general subscriber's house (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
An optical drop cable is an optical fiber cable used for optical wiring to subscriber systems such as ordinary houses and buildings. An optical fiber core and a steel wire or a parallel disposed in the optical fiber core It is provided with a tensile body made of FRP (glass fiber reinforced plastic) or the like, and a jacket made of a polyolefin-based thermoplastic resin that is collectively extrusion-coated on the outer periphery thereof.
The optical drop cable has a problem in terms of flexibility and weight because the optical fiber core wire and the tensile strength wire are arranged in parallel. It is necessary to give sufficient consideration so that the transmission characteristics of the fiber do not deteriorate.
On the other hand, a cable packaging box made of a box that stores an optical fiber cable around a drum in a state where the optical fiber cable is wound around the drum is known (for example, see Patent Document 2). This cable packaging box is related to the inventor's invention, and when used, the drum is rotated by pulling one end of the cable through the through hole of the box while the drum is housed in the box. Can be pulled out of the box sequentially.
By the way, the above technique has the following problems to be solved.
The cable packaging box having the structure in which the reinforcing side plate is arranged outside the drum cage described above is sufficient to prevent the drum from rotating freely when the optical drop cable is accommodated only by the contact frictional force between the drum cage and the reinforcing side plate. There is a problem that cannot be prevented.
When the drum is idle when not in use, such as during transportation or storage, winding of the cable is disturbed in the box. If the cable is pulled out while the winding is disturbed, the cable may get tangled or damaged. Therefore, preliminary work such as correcting the cable winding disorder is performed before the drawing operation from the drum.
Further, when the cable pulled out after use is rewound onto the drum, an operation such as opening the packing box and reversing the drum by hand must be performed.
The present invention has been made paying attention to the above points, and it is an object of the present invention to provide a cable storage device that reliably prevents idle rotation of a cable drum in a box and greatly improves cable laying workability. .
