を備えた画像形成装置であって,
前記搬送ローラ対による記録材の搬送速度が,前記二次転写部における記録材の搬送速度に比べて速く設定されているとともに,
前記記録材が厚紙である場合には,当該記録材の後端が前記搬送ローラ対のニップ部を通過した後に,前記クリーニングブレードを前記中間転写体に当接させること特徴とする画像形成装置。
An image carrier on which a toner image is formed on the surface;
A primary transfer portion is formed at the contact portion with the image carrier, and the toner image on the image carrier is primarily transferred at the primary transfer portion, and a secondary transfer portion is formed at the contact portion with the recording material. An intermediate transfer member that transfers a toner image onto a recording material in the secondary transfer portion;
A secondary transfer roller that is pressed against the intermediate transfer member via a recording material in the secondary transfer unit;
A transport roller pair disposed in the immediate vicinity of the secondary transfer unit with respect to the transport direction of the recording material and transporting the recording material toward the secondary transfer unit;
A cleaning blade configured to come into contact with and separate from the surface of the intermediate transfer member, and scrape residual toner remaining on the intermediate transfer member after the secondary transfer by contacting the intermediate transfer member;
An image forming apparatus comprising:
The conveyance speed of the recording material by the conveyance roller pair is set faster than the conveyance speed of the recording material in the secondary transfer unit,
When the recording material is cardboard, the cleaning blade is brought into contact with the intermediate transfer member after the trailing end of the recording material has passed through the nip portion of the conveying roller pair.
