しかし、従来の椅子の肘掛け装置は、肘当て基板とパッド部材の取り付けにねじを使用しているので、部品点数が多く、組み立てに時間が掛かり、またパッド部材における四隅のねじ取付部がパッド部材の弾性変形を局部的に妨げ、肘掛け時に、均一な弾力性が得られず、不快感を与えるおそれがある。
本発明は、従来の技術が有する上記のような問題点に鑑み、部品点数が少なく、組立性に優れ、しかも、パッド部材がほぼ全体にわたって均一に弾性変形することができ、肘掛け時の感触がよい椅子の肘掛け装置を提供することを目的としている。
