図4に示した実施例3では、剥がされた現像剤6と共にトナー補給手段8より供給されたトナーが隔壁4に沿って第2の攪拌搬送スクリュウ3へ落ち、そこで、現像剤容器10内にある現像剤6と混ぜ合わされる。
図5に示した実施例4では、第2の攪拌搬送スクリュウ3の上方に位置する第3の攪拌搬送スクリュウ9により、第2の攪拌搬送スクリュウ3へ現像剤6が運ばれる。
図6に示した実施例5では、第3の攪拌搬送スクリュウ9の上流にトナー補給手段8が配置されており、また、第2の攪拌搬送スクリュウ3の上流にトナー濃度検知手段7が配置されており、トナー濃度が低下した現像剤6にトナーを補給する。
図7に示した実施例6では、第2の攪拌搬送スクリュウ3の下流にもトナー濃度検知手段7が配置されており、潜像に付着することによりトナーを消費した現像剤6と循環しているトナーとのトナー濃度の差を検知する。
本発明の現像装置においては、現像後に残留した現像剤がすぐに第1の攪拌搬送スクリュウ2に汲み上げられることがなく、第2の攪拌搬送スクリュウ3に落下することにより、攪拌時間を稼ぐことができ、安定した現像剤を得ることができるため、高画質化を図ることが可能になる。
