Abstract
【解決手段】ネットワーク100が、(a)複数の加入者用通信装置134および138と、(b)複数の読み取り器160であって、通信装置の各々が対応する読み取り器と通信状態にあり、それぞれの目標物164上に配置された識別装置168に各々が対応する目標物識別子のセットを読み取るように各々が動作可能である読み取り器と、(c)目標物識別子のセットのうちの少なくとも1つから、目標物識別子の前記セットのうちの少なくとも1つの中の目標物識別子を有する各々の目標物164の物理的場所を判定するための場所特定エージェント324とを有する。

Description
(a)各々が対応する読み取り器(例えばRFIDトランシーバおよび/またはバーコード・スキャナ)と通信状態にあるいくつかの加入者用通信装置(例えばアナログもしくはデジタル式電話、IPハードフォン、IPソフトフォン、ルータ、交換機、サーバなど)を有する企業ネットワークを供給する工程、
(b)各々の読み取り器が、追跡探知されるそれぞれの目標物上に配置された識別装置(例えばRFIDトランスポンダもしくはタグ、および/またはバーコード)にセット内の各々が対応する目標物識別子(例えばシリアルナンバー、パスワード、従業員識別番号など)のセットを読み取る工程、および
(c)読み取り器によって読み取られた目標物識別子を有する各々の目標物の物理的場所を判定する工程を含む、目標物追跡探知のための方法が提供される。追跡探知される目標物の「物理的場所」は正確な物理的場所に限定されないが、特定の区域にある目標物として描かれることが可能である。例えば、目標物の物理的場所は読み取り器の射程範囲内の何処かであると描かれることが可能である。
図1に示されるような交換機、サーバ、ユーザの通信装置、およびその他の要素は具体的例示だけのためのものであって、本発明をいずれかの特定の要素配列に限定するように解釈されるべきではない。
工程400で、更新事象が生じる。更新事象はどのような数の選択された事象であることも可能である。例えば、更新事象は資産管理システム128からの目標物場所特定要求の受信であることが可能である。それは或る時間的期間の経過であることが可能である。言い換えると、目標物場所の情報は定期的間隔でシステム128へと供給される。それは最後に記録された目標物の場所が変化する時であることが可能である。例えば、目標物は第1の読み取り器の射程範囲の外側に移動し、かつ/または第2の読み取り器の射程範囲に入る可能性がある。これは、選択されたID装置を読み取ることが可能な読み取り器に対応する前回記録された読み取り識別子の第1のリストまたはセットを、選択されたID装置を現在読み取っている読み取り器に対応する現在記録された読み取り識別子の第2のリストまたはセットに対して比較することによって判定されることが可能である。第1と第2のリストの間の差異は、目標物が移動したことを意味する。
Claims (12)
- 目標物を追跡探知するための方法であって、
(a)各々がそれに対応する読み取り器と通信状態にある複数の加入者用通信装置を有する企業ネットワークを供給する工程と、
(b)それぞれの目標物上に配置された識別装置に各々が対応する目標物識別子のセットを各々の読み取り器が読み取る工程と、
(c)目標物識別子を有する各々の目標物の物理的場所を目標物識別子の前記セットのうちの少なくとも1つで判定する工程とを含む方法。 - 各々の読み取り器が無線周波数識別もしくはRFIDのトランシーバであり、各々の識別装置がRFIDトランスポンダであり、前記目標物がコンピュータ・モニタ、コンピュータ・キーボード、コンピュータ・プリンタ、コンピュータ・マウス、加入者用通信装置であって読み取り器、椅子、机、本棚、戸棚、本、ステレオ、写真、個人、時計、ラジオ、芸術品、および電話ヘッドセットに対応する前記通信装置以外のもののうちの1つであり、前記判定する工程(c)が、
目標物識別子の第1および第2のセットが隣り合う第1および第2の読み取り器に対応する状況で、少なくとも前記第1および第2のセット内の目標物識別子を目標物が有することを判定する工程と、
前記物理的場所が、前記第1の読み取り器の第1の射程範囲が前記第2の読み取り器の第2の射程範囲と重複する場所にあることを判定する工程とを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記読み取る工程(b)で、前記第1および第2の読み取り器が異なる時間に目標物識別子を読み取り、前記判定する工程(c)が、
目標物識別子の第1および第2のセットが隣り合う第1および第2の読み取り器に対応する状況で、前記第2のセットではなく前記第1のセット内の目標物識別子を目標物が有することを判定する工程と、
前記第1の読み取り器の第1の射程範囲および前記第2の読み取り器の第2の射程範囲が重複部を有している状況で、前記物理的場所が前記第1の射程範囲の中にあって前記第2の射程範囲の外側にあることを判定する工程とを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記読み取る工程(b)で、読み取り器の前記射程範囲内にある各々の目標物識別子が対応する目標物識別子を異なる時間で前記読み取り器へと提供し、前記判定する工程(c)が、第1の目標物の前記物理的場所を内線、IPアドレス、交換機識別子、ポート識別子、および第1の読み取り器と通信状態にある第1の通信装置の媒体アクセス制御もしくはMACのアドレスのうちの少なくとも1つから判定する工程を含み、前記第1の目標物の第1の目標物識別子が前記第1の読み取り器によって読み取られる、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 第1の読み取り器が第1の通信装置に対応し、第2の読み取り器が第2の通信装置に対応し、前記第1の読み取り器が第1の射程範囲を有し、前記第2の読み取り器が第2の射程範囲を有し、前記第1および第2の射程範囲が重複部を有し、かつ前記第2の射程範囲が前記第1の読み取り器の位置を含み、
(d)前記第1の通信装置が応答しないときに、前記第1の通信装置が移動したかどうか判定するために前記第2の読み取り器に前記第1の通信装置の前記目標物識別子を読み取るように要求する工程をさらに含む、請求項1に記載の方法。 - 請求項1に記載の前記工程を実行するための命令を含む、コンピュータで読み取り可能な媒体。
- 目標物を追跡探知するための企業ネットワークであって、
(a)複数の加入者用通信装置と、
(b)複数の電子的読み取り手段であって、前記通信装置の各々が対応する読み取り手段と通信状態にあり、各読み取り手段は目標物識別子のセットを読み取るよう動作し、該セットの各識別手段が各目標物に配置された識別手段に対応する読み取り手段と、
(c)目標物識別子の前記セットのうちの少なくとも1つから、目標物識別子の前記セットのうちの少なくとも1つの中の目標物識別子を有する各々の目標物の物理的場所を判定するための場所特定手段とを有するネットワーク。 - 各々の読み取り手段が無線周波数識別もしくはRFIDのトランシーバであり、各々の識別手段がRFIDトランスポンダであり、前記目標物がコンピュータ・モニタ、コンピュータ・キーボード、コンピュータ・プリンタ、コンピュータ・マウス、加入者用通信装置であって前記読み取り手段、椅子、机、本棚、戸棚、本、ステレオ、写真、個人、時計、ラジオ、芸術品、および電話ヘッドセットに対応する前記通信装置以外のもののうちの1つであり、前記判定する機能が、
目標物識別子の第1および第2のセットが隣り合う第1および第2の読み取り手段に対応する状況で、少なくとも前記第1および第2のセット内の目標物識別子を目標物が有することを判定する部分機能と、
前記物理的場所が、前記第1の読み取り手段の第1の射程範囲が前記第2の読み取り手段の第2の射程範囲と重複する場所にあることを判定する部分機能とを含む、請求項7に記載のネットワーク。 - 前記読み取る機能の中で、前記第1および第2の読み取り手段が異なる時間に目標物識別子を読み取り、前記判定する機能が、
目標物識別子の第1および第2のセットが隣り合う第1および第2の読み取り手段に対応する状況で、前記第2のセットではなく前記第1のセット内の目標物識別子を目標物が有することを判定する部分機能と、
前記第1の読み取り手段の第1の射程範囲および前記第2の読み取り手段の第2の射程範囲が重複部を有している状況で、前記物理的場所が前記第1の射程範囲の中にあって前記第2の射程範囲の外側にあることを判定する部分機能とを含む、請求項7に記載のネットワーク。 - 前記読み取る機能の中で、読み取り手段の前記射程範囲内の各々の目標物識別子が対応する目標物識別子を異なる時間で前記読み取り手段へと提供する、請求項7に記載のネットワーク。
- 前記判定する機能が、前記第1の目標物の前記物理的場所を内線、IPアドレス、交換機識別子、ポート識別子、および第1の読み取り手段と通信状態にある第1の通信装置の媒体アクセス制御もしくはMACのアドレスのうちの少なくとも1つから判定する部分機能を含み、前記第1の目標物の第1の目標物識別子が前記第1の読み取り手段によって読み取られる請求項7に記載のネットワーク。
- 第1の読み取り手段が第1の通信装置に対応し、第2の読み取り手段が第2の通信装置に対応し、前記第1の読み取り手段が第1の射程範囲を有し、前記第2の読み取り手段が第2の射程範囲を有し、前記第1および第2の射程範囲が重複部を有し、かつ前記第2の射程範囲が前記第1の読み取り手段の位置を含み、かつ前記場所特定手段が、前記第1の通信装置が応答しないときに、前記第1の通信装置が移動したかどうか判定するために前記第2の読み取り手段に前記第1の通信装置の前記目標物識別子を読み取るように要求するように動作可能である、請求項7に記載のネットワーク。
