装置内部にアクセスする為の開閉部材と、画像を担持する記録材を挟持搬送しつつ記録材上の画像を定着する回転体対と、を有する画像形成装置において、
前記回転体対は前記開閉部材の開閉に連動して回動できるようになっており、前記開閉部材が開いた時には前記回転体対が画像形成時の記録材搬送方向とは逆方向に回動することを特徴とする画像形成装置。
