(5)トップシール工程(ト)において、開口保持手段50の保持片53が挿入された状態の包装袋aが間欠停止すると(図6)、この包装袋aに脱気用ノズル45が挿入されて当該包装袋内の空気を吸引して外部に追い出す(図7)。このときに溶封装置55の開閉レバー56,58は徐々に閉じ始め、脱気処理後に脱気用ノズル45を袋口cから脱出させる際に当該袋口cがシャッター片62,67によって閉鎖される(図8)。ついで、袋口cを閉鎖した状態にて、その袋口cは溶封バー57,59によって封止を施される。
(6)製品排出工程(チ)において、図9に示す半生うどん麺m及び小袋nを袋詰めした包装品は、グリップ対gの解放動作によりシュート75に落下されて機外に排出される。

多数のグリップ対を放射方向に設けた回転体を間欠駆動手段により、給袋工程、開口工程、充填工程等の複数の工程毎に間欠停止して移動させ、各グリップ対により袋口を上にして吊り下げ状に支持された包装袋に充填工程にて被包装物を充填し、トップシール工程にて袋口の封止を施して包装袋を排出するように構成されたロータリー方式の包装機を使用する包装方法であって、
充填工程にて、押さえ手段によって包装袋の下方の周縁部分を前後から緩く押さえた状態で塊状被包装物を充填し、振動工程にて、振動手段によって包装袋の底部を上下方向に振動させることにより充填された被包装物の姿勢を安定した状態とし、トップシール工程にて、包装袋に脱気用ノズルを挿入して当該包装袋内の空気を吸引して外部に追い出すと共に当該ノズルを袋口から脱出させる際にシャッター手段によって袋口を閉鎖し、その袋口が閉鎖された状態で当該袋口の封止を施すようにしたことを特徴とする塊状被包装物の包装方法。
