EPG番組情報が付加された放送波を受信して番組情報を分離し、映像を出力するチューナ部と、
チューナ部から出力された映像を録画する録画実行部と、
チューナ部の放送波から分離されたEPG番組情報を解析する番組情報解析部と、
予約録画が正常に行われているかどうか監視する予約録画監視部と、
予約録画監視部からの予約録画に失敗した番組情報と時刻情報を記憶するメモリと、
メモリに記憶された予約録画に失敗した番組情報と番組情報解析部の番組情報を比較し、予約録画に失敗した番組の再放送に該当するか否かを判定する再放送判定部と、
再放送判定部が判定した予約録画に失敗した番組の再放送の自動録画予約及び予約時間がユーザが設定した録画予約及び予約時間と重複しない場合は再放送全体を予約設定し、該再放送の自動録画予約がユーザが設定した録画予約及び予約時間と一部重複する場合には予約録画に失敗した期間がユーザが設定した録画予約及び録画時間と重複しないときは以前録画に失敗した期間部分の録画を予約設定し、これらの予約設定を録画実行部に出力する重複予約判定部と、
