Abstract
Description
(1) 複数の繊維を与え、夫々の繊維が、超硬研磨材粒子又はその超硬研磨材粒子の前駆物質の集合体、及び場合により第二相を含む芯、及び炭化物粒子と粒状結合剤金属との混合物を含んでなる被覆を有し、
(2) 前記繊維の束を形成し、
(3) 前記束をその長手方向を横断するようにして切断して層を形成し、
(4) 前記層を基体の表面上に置き、そして
(5) 前記層と基体を、超硬研磨材粒子が結晶学的に安定になる上昇させた温度及び圧力条件にかける、
諸工程を含む。
Claims (13)
- 工具部品を製造する方法において、
(1) 複数の繊維を与え、夫々の繊維が超硬研磨材粒子又はその超硬研磨材粒子の前駆物質の集合体、及び場合により第二相を含む芯、及び炭化物粒子と粒状結合剤金属との混合物を含んでなる被覆を有し、
(2) 前記繊維の束を形成し、
(3) 前記束をその長手方向を横断するようにして切断して層を形成し、
(4) 前記層を基体の表面上に置き、そして
(5) 前記層と基体を、超硬研磨材粒子が結晶学的に安定になる上昇させた温度及び圧力条件にかける、
諸工程を有する、上記方法。 - 繊維の束を、切断して層を形成する前に押出す、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 芯が、ダイヤモンド又は立方晶系窒化硼素粒子と適当な溶媒/触媒との混合物で、粒状で、有機結合剤によって凝集した形態に結合された混合物を含んでなる、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 被覆が、有機結合剤により凝集した形態に結合されている、請求項1〜3のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 炭化物粒子が、炭化タングステン粒子、炭化タンタル粒子、又は炭化モリブデン粒子である、請求項1〜4のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 基体が、焼結炭化物基体である、請求項1〜5のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 被覆が一つ以上の層を含んでなる、請求項1〜6のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 被覆が二つ以上の層を含んでなり、夫々の層が隣接する層とは物理的及び/又は化学的性質が異なっている、請求項7項に記載の方法。
- 一つの層が、隣接する層(単数又は複数)よりも粗いか又は細かい炭化物粒子を有するか、又は隣接する層(単数又は複数)中の金属結合剤とは異なった金属結合剤を含む、請求項8に記載の方法。
- 基体を有する工具部品が、その表面に結合された層から形成された作用部分を有する、請求項1〜9のいずれか1項に記載の方法。
- 作用部分が、焼結炭化物の蜂の巣状構造体、及び前記蜂の巣状構造体の気孔内にあって、前記蜂の巣状構造体に結合した研磨材成形材料を本質的に含んでなる複合体材料を含んでなる、請求項10に記載の方法。
- 蜂の巣状構造体の気孔が、配列されているか、又は無作為的になっている、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 工具部品を製造する方法において、
(1) 複数の繊維を与え、夫々の繊維が、炭化物粒子と粒状結合剤金属との混合物を含んでなる芯、及び超硬研磨材粒子又はその超硬研磨材粒子の前駆物質の集合体、及び場合により第二相を含んでなる被覆を有し、
(2) 前記繊維の束を形成し、
(3) 前記束をその長手方向を横断するようにして切断して層を形成し、
(4) 前記層を基体の表面上に置き、そして
(5) 前記層と基体を、超硬研磨材粒子が結晶学的に安定になる上昇させた温度及び圧力条件にかける、
諸工程を有する、工具部品製造方法。
