Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an optical information recording medium for recording and reproducing information by light irradiation, a method for manufacturing the same, a method for manufacturing a master for manufacturing the optical information recording medium, a stamper, a method for manufacturing the same, and a molded substrate.
However, when recording more information by narrowing the groove interval, the recorded mark of the recorded information spreads on the lands (convex parts) on both sides, which may affect the recording marks of adjacent grooves. Further, when erasing a recording mark on a groove of a certain track, there is a disadvantage that the adjacent track is affected by the erasure or the adjacent mark is leaked when the erased track is read.
In order to reduce cross erase due to heat in order to reduce these problems, the width of the land portion and the groove portion is set to be 0.1 nm when the step difference between the land and the groove is 100 nm or more, or in the range of 100 to 300 nm, or in the range of 100 to 300 nm. There has been proposed a method of reducing thermal diffusion due to laser recording by setting the groove depth to 7 μm or less and making the groove depth deeper than usual (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
Also, since the groove depth is set to an appropriate depth and only the land sidewall thickness is reduced, heat conduction to adjacent tracks is suppressed and cross-erasing is reduced. (For example, refer to Patent Document 2).
The laser beam wavelength λ, the groove depth d, and the refractive index n of the disk substrate satisfy 0.346λ / n ≦ d ≦ 0.415λ / n, thereby minimizing crosstalk and narrowing the track pitch. There has also been proposed a method (see, for example, Patent Document 3).
In addition, a method has been proposed in which a cross-erase to adjacent tracks can be greatly reduced by using a substrate having a low thermal conductivity so that the recording material is filled between the substrates. (For example, refer to Patent Document 4).
In addition, a method has been proposed in which a metal reflective layer is formed only in a guide groove portion, heat diffusion to an adjacent recording track is suppressed, and cross erase resulting from a narrow track pitch can be prevented (for example, a patent) Reference 5).
In
According to Patent Document 2, a method of reducing the cross erase due to the thermal diffusion of the mark by reducing the film thickness of the land side wall portion is employed. However, it is difficult to control the conditions of oblique sputtering, oblique vapor deposition, and the like that make only the side wall thin, and the manufacturing cost increases if performed for each medium.
According to Patent Document 3, the cross erase is reduced by optimizing the relationship between the laser wavelength and the groove depth. However, in this method, it is difficult to form a mark below the beam spot, and the effect is limited.
According to Patent Document 4, a material having a low thermal conductivity is interposed between adjacent tracks to reduce cross erase. However, in order to produce a medium having this configuration, a specific substrate is required and RIE etching must be performed on each medium, which makes the process long and expensive.
Further, according to Patent Document 5, since there is no reflective layer in the land portion, it is difficult to form a recording mark. However, when producing a medium having this configuration, a reflective layer and a protective layer are provided for each medium. There is a problem that the etching becomes the same rate and the process becomes complicated.
The present invention has been invented in consideration of the above-described circumstances, and has a high density optical information recording medium that eliminates the influence of adjacent grooves without increasing the manufacturing cost, and has a high effect of reducing cross erase, for example, and a method for manufacturing the same. And an optical information recording medium master, a stamper for the optical information recording medium, a manufacturing method thereof, and a molded substrate.

A thin film is formed only on a land portion having a smooth surface and a groove portion that increases the liquid repellency of the liquid to the substrate by a fine uneven structure on the substrate, and a land portion having a smooth surface. According to the optical information recording medium on which the recording material layer, the dielectric layer, and the reflection layer are formed, the surface state is not changed by the land and groove on the substrate, and the wettability of the surface due to minute unevenness is not achieved. By using the difference, a thin film can be formed only on the land, and the thin film formed on the land has a light-shielding action, so that the focused beam is irradiated on the adjacent land without overlapping the manufacturing cost. Even in this case, no mark is formed on the recording film on the land, and it is possible to obtain an optical information recording medium with little crosstalk without the influence of adjacent grooves.
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below in detail with reference to the drawings.

The method for producing an optical information recording medium master of the present invention will be described with reference to FIG. First, a
For the arrangement of the fine particles, a method using an advection and accumulation phenomenon in which a self-organized alignment film is produced by drying the dispersion while sweeping the liquid containing the fine particles. As the fine particle material, a polystyrene sphere having a size of 50 nm was used. Other methods for creating a nano-order uniform pattern on the surface include the use of electron beam exposure and etching, the use of Al as the substrate material, and a regular starting point by pressing with a mold such as Si. The method of forming and forming a microhole by anodic oxidation is mentioned.
Next, heat treatment was performed in order to fix the fine particle array film formed on the substrate. The heat treatment temperature was 220 ° C., slightly lower than the melting point of the polystyrene fine particles. In this way, a photoresist is applied to the substrate on which the fine particles are fixedly arranged on the surface. Here, it is necessary to apply a photoresist onto minute irregularities due to fine particles, and therefore, it is necessary to make the surface tension of the applied photoresist solution smaller than the surface tension of the fine particles. Therefore, an organic solvent such as ethyl lactate is used as a solvent to improve the wettability to the substrate. Thereby, the
Next, this glass substrate is placed on a turntable of a master exposure apparatus, and

Thereafter, the glass substrate and Ni are peeled off. At this time, since fine particles and photoresist may remain on the surface of the Ni plate, the fine particles and the photoresist are removed by plasma etching using CF 4 and O 2 as reaction gases. In this way, a Ni plate having a cleaned surface is obtained (FIG. 7C). Thereafter, backside polishing and inner / outer shape processing are performed, and a
From the
As described above, the present embodiment has a groove portion that increases the lyophobic property of the liquid with respect to the substrate by a fine uneven structure on the substrate, and a land portion that has a smooth surface, and then a land that has a smooth surface on the substrate. An optical information recording medium and a method for manufacturing the same, wherein a thin film is formed only on a portion, and then an optical recording material layer, a dielectric layer, and a reflective layer are formed.
According to this, since the thin film is formed only on the land, the optical characteristics can be made different between the land and the groove with respect to the recording / reproducing beam. Thereby, the amount of light transmitted to the recording film on the groove and the amount of light transmitted to the recording film on the land can be changed. Even in the case of an information recording medium in which the diameter of the beam spot is also applied to an adjacent land or groove in order to increase the storage capacity, a mark is formed on the recording film on the land by the thin film formed on the land. It is hard to be done. In addition, even when the signal is reproduced on the groove, the influence from the adjacent land with overlap is greatly suppressed.
The present invention provides an optical information recording medium characterized in that the transmittance of a thin film formed only on lands to a writing or reproducing laser beam is 50% or less. As a result, when the focused laser beam diameter spans the groove and the land, the light hitting the land portion is less affected by the recording mark on the adjacent land because the transmission of the incident light to the recording material layer is reduced, and the reproduction is performed. In addition, the influence of signals from adjacent lands is small.
The present invention provides an optical information recording medium using a water-soluble resin as a thin film formed only on a land. As a result, the water repellency is enhanced on the groove with fine irregularities, and the effect of making it difficult to form a thin film on the groove is enhanced. A solution using pure water having a surface tension larger than that of a normal organic solvent is used. Since the surface tension of pure water that can be applied onto the land and used as a solvent is higher than the surface tension of the substrate, the light shielding layer can be formed only on the land.
Further, the present invention provides an optical information recording medium characterized in that the size of the minute irregularities on the groove is 1/5 or less of the wavelength of a laser beam for recording and reproduction, and the shape error is 10% or less. It is. Thereby, since the uneven pattern is sufficiently smaller than the wavelength of the laser beam and uniform, it is possible to maintain a state where there is no loss such as light scattering. Since the uneven shape on the groove is small and uniform, the condensed beam is not scattered, and recording and reproduction can be performed without loss of light intensity.
The present invention is the optical information recording medium, wherein the height of the fine unevenness on the land is ¼ or more of the width of the fine unevenness. The ratio between the horizontal direction and the depth direction of the fine unevenness formed on the surface greatly affects the contact angle of the liquid in contact with the surface, that is, the wettability. As an example, when a sawtooth wave structure is formed on the surface, there is almost no change in the wettability to the surface of the solution when the depth is 1/5 or less in the horizontal direction compared to the flat case, When it becomes larger than 1/4, the contact angle of the liquid increases and the liquid repellency of the surface increases. Ideally, the depth of the unevenness is desirably 1/2 or more with respect to the horizontal direction. Since the hydrophobicity on the groove is increased, the light shielding layer is not formed on the groove, and the effect of being formed only on the land is enhanced.
The present invention includes a step of forming fine irregularities fixed on the entire master, a step of forming a thin film made of a photosensitive resin thereon, a laser beam is condensed to expose the photosensitive resin, and a latent image is formed. An optical information recording medium comprising: an image forming step; and a step of forming a pattern on the photosensitive resin layer by development and washing with pure water to reveal fine irregularities at the bottom of the developed portion. It is a manufacturing method of a master. As a result, it is possible to manufacture minute and uneven molds on the groove collectively and uniformly on the master, and this is the origin of the shape that exhibits lyophobic properties in the information recording medium. By forming fine irregularities on the entire master in advance, it is possible to easily produce a master for an optical information storage medium in which irregularities are formed only on the grooves.
The present invention is a method for producing a master of an optical information recording medium, wherein fine irregularities are formed by a method using a dense arrangement of fine particles on a master, and the fine particles are then fixed on a substrate. . As a result, it is possible to manufacture minute and uneven molds on the groove collectively and uniformly on the master, and this is the origin of the shape that exhibits lyophobic properties in the information recording medium. Since the fine particles are fixed on the master in a dense state, the subsequent master production process can be smoothly advanced.
By using a master manufactured by the present invention, a method of manufacturing a stamper based on the master, or a stamper or a substrate for an optical information recording medium manufactured using the stamper, cross erase and crosstalk can be performed. A small number of high-quality optical information recording media can be produced by a simple method.
