Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to an optical connection box for branching and connecting an optical fiber cable to a plurality of other optical fiber cables.
As a configuration in which a plurality of storage trays can be arranged and stored, for example, adjacent storage trays are connected to each other through a hinge so as to be relatively rotatable, and the storage trays are stacked and stored in an optical connection box. The configuration is widely adopted. As a result, storage space can be reduced by stacking storage trays during storage, and the target storage tray can be separated from adjacent storage trays by opening and closing the hinges during work, allowing work inside the storage tray (For example, refer to
In recent years, an optical communication network using a PON (Passive Optical Network) has been widely constructed, and here, an optical line is branched by an optical splitter installed in the middle of the optical line. In the case of the conventional optical connection box, when the optical splitter is housed in the box, the optical splitter is optically connected to the optical cable on both sides thereof, and the number of optical connection portions increases. In addition, since the number of optical cables and optical fibers increases, a space-saving optical connection box that can accommodate these in a compact manner is desired.
Also, in the optical connection box of the conventional configuration, in the storage tray used in the conventional optical connection box, a configuration is often used in which protrusions are arranged opposite to both sides of the entrance / exit groove through which the optical fiber is inserted. Yes. In this case, the outer periphery of the optical fiber is covered with a protective tube made of silicone or the like, and the protrusion is engaged with the protective tube, thereby preventing the optical fiber from slipping through the entrance / exit of the storage tray.
However, it is necessary to cover the protective tubes individually one by one on the optical fibers exposed at the tip of the optical fiber cable, and the work is extremely troublesome.
This invention is made | formed in view of the said situation, and makes it a subject to provide the optical connection box which can perform the operation | work of a branch connection, without putting a protective tube on an optical fiber.
