前記共振器は前記制御手段からの制御信号によりそれぞれ共振波長が可変であって、
前記制御手段は前記共振波長を前記光源から導光する光の波長と一致させることで前記導波路内の光を前記フォトニック結晶外へ放出する第1の状態と、
前記共振波長を前記光源から導光する光の波長と異ならせることで前記導波路内の光を前記フォトニック結晶外へ放出されないようにする第2の状態とに制御し、
前記複数の共振器が画素を形成することを特徴とする表示素子。
