Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a universal design ruler which can confirm a prescribed scale position and accurately, quickly, easily enter a mark "dot" of a prescribed scale mark, can be easily installed without requiring a labor for adapting a hole to a latch tool of a wall surface or the like, and further decreases dirt of a pencil powder, an erasing rubber powder due to contact of the rubber to a paper surface. <P>SOLUTION: A depression scale part is provided to a ruler body. Then, the ruler is featured to enable the specific scale mark "dot" to be accurately, quickly and easily entered by inserting a point of the prescribed scale mark. （イ）従来、定規の目盛りは、平面状に刻み線を入れてあるのみであったため、所定の目盛りの位置の確認と所定の目盛りの目印の「・」を正確、迅速、容易に記入することは難しかった。とりわけ、学童や高齢者、障害者にとっては至難であった。
（ロ）また、掛け具部は、小さな孔が空いているのみであったため、壁面などの掛け具に孔を合わせるのに手間取った。また、小さな孔に対応した適切な掛け具が少なかった。
（ハ）また、定規の裏面の全面が紙面に接触するため、鉛筆粉や消しゴム粉を擦り、紙面を汚して困った。

（ロ）定規本体の両端に、定規の幅と同じ半円型の掛け具部（４）を設ける。そして大きな掛け具孔（５）を設ける。また、半円型の掛け具部の型状は、三角型、四角型、あるいはキャラクター型を用いてもよく、また、掛け具部は、定規の片端のみに設けてもよい。
（ハ）定規本体裏面（８）の、長辺方向中央に半円球の突起部（７）を複数個設ける。半円球の突起部の型状は、長辺方向中央に棒状に連続して設けても良い。
定規材の材質は、プラスチックを用い、型枠に流し込んで一体成型し、目盛りの刻み線を入れる。
本発明は、以上の構成よりなっている。
本発明を使用するときは、定規本体裏面（８）の半円球の突起部（７）を支点に、凹状目盛り部（２）を使用の場合は、凹状目盛り部（２）の側縁部分を紙面に接触させる。次に凹状目盛り部（２）で所定の目盛りを確認の後、Ｖ型の凹状目盛り（３）に鉛筆の先を挿入し軽く半回転させて、所定の目盛りの目印の「・」を記入する。
普通目盛り部（６）を使用のときは、半円球の突起部（７）を支点に、普通目盛り部（６）の側縁部分を紙面に接触させて普通に使用する。
