CATVシステムで使用されるCATV用端末装置において,放送信号受信機と,CATVセンター局及びCATVセンター局を介してCATV網の内部及び外部と双方向通信をする双方向通信機を備え,
放送信号受信機と双方向通信機は共にCATV伝送線に接続されると共に,これら2つの装置は互いにディジタル信号を伝送する接続線で接続され,
双方向通信機に接続した機器からでも,放送信号受信機からでも,CATV網の内部及び外部と双方向通信する機能を有し,放送信号受信機による前記双方向通信が双方向通信機に接続した機器による前記双方向通信に対して優先することを特徴とするCATV用端末装置。
