次に、図1及び図2において、本願発明のブレーキ装置の構造及び動作について述べる。ガイドレール1の両傾斜側面11、12にハウヂング2に形成された傾斜面がかんごうされている。このハウヂング2の内部には、ブレーキ部材3と、ブレーキ部材3をガイドレールの取り付け面の対面13に押し付ける増力機構としての、四個の円筒ころ4を介した増力くさび5と、円筒ころ4の相手部材が組み込まれており、さらに、このハウヂング2の内部に、増力くさび5を操作する、スプリング6と解除ピストン10が組み込まれている。
給排気口14より排気されると、スプリング6のスプリング力により増力くさび5が軸方向に引かれて、ブレーキ部材3をガイドレール1の面13に押し付けると同時にガイドレール1の傾斜面11、12にハウヂング2をわづかに持ち上げる。

1、ガイドレール1の取り付け面の対面13と両傾斜面11、12を摩擦面とすることにより、ハウヂンク2のかんごう面に反力が生じるようにでき、このことが、小型で、且つ、強力なブレーキ力を可能とする。
2、停止位置でロックする場合に、ガイドレール1に接触する面が、ガイドレールの取り付け面に直角に移動するだけとなり、このことが、ロック位置の精度を上げることに貢献する。更に、ロック時に、ハウヂング2(接続ピン7)はガイドレール1に沿ったスライド方向のみならず直角方向にもロックされてる。
