Description

The present invention relates to an excrement disposal material such as a pet, an excrement disposal material composition, and a method for producing the excrement disposal material.

In recent years, excrement disposal materials used in pet toilets (box-like containers), poultry houses, and pig houses to remove bad odors caused by pet and livestock manure and solidify manure to facilitate cleaning Has been researched and used.

However, the above conventional techniques have the following problems.
(1) In the technique described in (Patent Document 1), two layers are formed by laying a surface layer formed in pellet form from the top of the base layer formed in a powder or granule form using, for example, starch as a main raw material. Due to its structure, when a pet or the like kicks or stirs with a foot, the base layer and the surface layer are mixed and the two-layer structure tends to collapse, so the surroundings of the container in which the base layer formed in powdery or granular form is laid It has a problem that it is easily scattered and requires time for cleaning. Further, when the two-layer structure is broken, there is a problem that the base layer that has absorbed urine adheres to the foot of a pet or the like.
(2) In the technique described in (Patent Document 2), the cured cake is shredded with a cutter or a crusher, so that it is square, and the foot of a sensitive cat or the like who prefers a smooth shape rather than a pointed shape. In order to irritate or damage the back, when used in a pet toilet, cats and the like were disliked, and there was a problem of not performing urine.
(3) Since the excrement disposal materials such as pets described in (Patent Document 3) are obtained by curing combustion ash with gypsum, the mechanical strength of the excrement disposal materials obtained by the method is small. When stepped on, it has a problem that it is easy to powder and sticks to the feet of pets, etc., and requires time for cleaning.

Therefore, as a result of intensive studies to solve the above problems, the present inventors have completed the invention and filed a patent application (Patent Document 4).
The technology described in (Patent Document 4) kneads and granulates a material containing combustion ash such as coal ash, cement-based solidified material, and any one of alkali metal salt, alkaline earth metal salt and zeolite. By curing, it prevents the growth of pests and moths, etc., cleanliness, mechanical strength, excellent pulverization without pulverization, excellent workability with low replacement frequency and excellent deodorization and deodorization However, because the shape is almost spherical, it is easy to roll from a container such as a pet toilet by kicking the excrement disposal material with the habit after excretion behavior such as cats. I found that there was a problem. Moreover, when pets etc. stepped on, it turned out that combustion ash is easy to adhere to a leg | foot, and since it is easy to get dirty, it has the subject that it takes a troublesome cleaning. Furthermore, since the cement-based solidified material is contained, the bulk density is large and the weight is large, so that there is a problem that the transportability is lowered.

The present invention solves the above-described conventional problems, and even if a pet or the like kicks, the excrement disposal material such as a pet is difficult to spill out of the container from the container such as a pet toilet. It aims at providing excrement disposal materials, such as a pet excellent in property and cleaning nature.
In addition, the present invention is excellent in insect proofing and deodorizing properties, has good transportability, excellent post-processing workability, and excretion is preferred because pets etc. prefer excretion to play sand. It aims at providing the excrement disposal material composition, such as a pet.
Moreover, an object of this invention is to provide the manufacturing method of excrement disposal materials, such as a pet which is hard to get dirty, such as a pet, and is excellent in hygiene and cleaning property.

In order to solve the above conventional problems, the excrement disposal material such as a pet, the excrement disposal material composition, and the method for producing the excrement disposal material have the following configurations.
The excrement disposal material such as a pet according to claim 1 of the present invention is an excrement disposal material that is used by being laid on a pet toilet container or the like, and has a minor axis of 4 to 6 mm, a major axis of 6 to 10 mm, and a length of eight. It has a structure formed in a flat pellet shape of ˜15 mm.
With this configuration, the following effects can be obtained.
(1) Cats, etc. have the habit of kicking the surrounding sand on the soles of the feet after excretion and filling in the dung to hide them, but the shape is 4-6 mm short axis, 6-10 mm long axis, 8-15 mm long Because it is in a flat pellet form, it is easy for cats to kick and bury shit, etc., so that shit can be prevented from being easily covered with excrement disposal materials and exposed, and even if spilled from a container such as a pet toilet Since it is difficult to roll, it does not scatter around and has excellent cleanability.
(2) Because the shape is as large as 4-6 mm in short axis, 6-10 mm in long axis, and 8-15 mm in length, it is difficult to enter between fingers such as cats. It is possible to prevent the excrement disposal material from being scattered around the toilet container or the like. Also, since it is difficult to enter between the fingers of cats, etc., pets etc. flutter their feet trying to remove the excrement disposal material that has entered between the fingers etc., and stir or kick out the laid excrement disposal material It is hard to scatter from the pet toilet etc. to the surroundings. In addition, it is easy to make a habit of excretion because pets etc. prefer excretion as if they are playing with sand.
(3) If excrement disposal material that has absorbed excrement such as pet urine is left for a long time, it will cause bad odor, so it needs to be removed from pet toilet containers etc. Since the minor axis is 4 to 6 mm, the major axis is 6 to 10 mm, and the length is 8 to 15 mm, it is not only excrement treatment material that has been agglomerated by absorbing and solidifying excrement, but also excrement is absorbed, but it is agglomerated The excreta treating material which is not converted can be easily picked up to prevent the generation of bad odor, and the comfort is excellent.

Here, as the excrement disposal material, one or more of paper, wood such as sawdust, inorganic material such as bentonite, silica gel, zeolite, food waste such as okara, industrial waste such as coal ash, etc. Those formed with seeds are used. Especially, what was formed so that a bulk density might be set to 0.3-0.5 g / cm < 3 > using these 1 or more types is used suitably. As the bulk density becomes smaller than 0.3 g / cm 3, there is a tendency that feet of pets or the like tend to be buried or scattered around, and as the bulk density becomes larger than 0.5 g / cm 3 , the amount of open cells decreases. In addition, the water absorption of urine tends to decrease, and the weight per unit amount increases, making it difficult to carry and tending to decrease transportability.

As the excrement disposal material becomes thinner than 4mm, the excrement disposal material becomes thin and needle-like, and the mechanical strength is reduced. It tends to be pierced and damages the feet of pets, etc., tends to get between pets 'fingers etc., caught on pets' feet etc., and tends to be scattered around pet toilet containers etc. As the thickness becomes thicker than 6 mm, the difference from the major axis disappears, the cross section approaches a circular shape, and the excrement disposal material scattered around the pet toilet container or the like tends to roll, which is not preferable.
As the major axis of the excrement disposal material becomes thinner than 6 mm, there is a tendency that the difference from the minor axis disappears and the cross section approaches a circular shape and the roll tends to roll. As the excrement disposal material becomes thicker than 10 mm, one excrement disposal material becomes larger. Since the amount of excrement disposal materials that can be laid on a large pet toilet container or the like tends to decrease and the amount of excreta absorbed decreases, neither is preferable.
As the excrement disposal material becomes shorter than 8 mm, the excrement disposal material becomes thin and disk-shaped, and the mechanical strength decreases. The amount of excrement disposal materials becomes larger and the amount of excrement disposal materials that can be laid in pet toilet containers of the same size tends to decrease and the amount of excrement absorption decreases. Since it is difficult to kick and it is difficult to bury the feces etc., the feces etc. are not covered with the excrement disposal material and exposed and tend to look bad and unsanitary.
The difference between the major axis and the minor axis is preferably 2 mm or more. This is to make it difficult to roll by flattening.

As the excrement disposal material, pellet-shaped corners are formed in a rounded shape. This prevents irritation or injury to the soles of the feet of sensitive cats and the like, and facilitates excretion habits because cats and the like prefer excretion as if playing with sand. Further, since there are no corners, it is possible to prevent the corners from being chipped off and generating dust and the like as in the prior art.

As pets to be used for excrement disposal materials, cats, dogs, hamsters, guinea pigs, puppies, rabbits, chestnuts, monkeys, etc. Examples include cattle, pigs and chickens.

The excrement disposal material composition for pets and the like according to claim 2 of the present invention is a composition for producing the excrement disposal material for pets and the like according to claim 1, wherein (a) coal ash and ( b) It has a constitution containing wood flour and (c) one or more binders of clay, starch and derivatives thereof, cellulose and derivatives thereof.
With this configuration, in addition to the operation obtained in the first aspect, the following operation can be obtained.
(1) Since it contains coal ash, antibacterial substances such as boron, halides, TiO 2 that have strong antibacterial properties due to the action of ZnO and UV rays, adhere to the excrement disposal material. Prevents the propagation of germs and pests by excreted urine and is superior in hygiene.
(2) Since coal ash has an odor similar to that of soil, small animals such as cats prefer to ride on it and perform excretion.
(3) Since coal ash has a high self-curing property due to the action of gypsum in the ash, it is possible to impart high mechanical strength to the granulated material by kneading and granulating with water or the like.
(4) Because it contains wood flour, it has excellent water absorption and water retention, as well as excellent insect control and deodorization, can be reduced in weight, and can be incinerated when treated as waste. It is.
(5) Since it contains one or more binders of clay, starch and derivatives thereof, cellulose and derivatives thereof, coal ash and wood powder are bound to each other by adding water and kneading. Thus, an excrement disposal material having a desired shape and a desired bulk density can be easily obtained.

Here, as the coal ash, clinker, bed ash, fly ash, or the like generated in a combustion apparatus such as a power generation apparatus or a gasification apparatus mainly using coal is used. Preferably, cyclone ash captured by a cyclone that performs dust removal in a combustion gas flow path in a combustion apparatus such as a fluidized bed combustion apparatus or a pulverized coal combustion treatment apparatus, or a ceramic tube disposed in a combustion gas flow path downstream of the cyclone CTF ash captured by the filter (CTF), further EP ash captured by the downstream electrostatic precipitator (EP), BH ash captured by the baghouse (BH) provided with the bag filter in front of the chimney entrance, etc. Bed ash or the like extracted from the bottom of a furnace such as fly ash or fluidized bed combustor is used. Among these, fly ash such as cyclone ash and CTF ash is suitably used because it has a particle size of 30 to 150 μm and is adjusted to a fine, substantially spherical shape, and thus can be easily kneaded and granulated.

As the wood flour, waste wood flour generated at a wood sawmill or the like can be used. This waste wood flour contains hiba wood and cocoon wood flour, and these wood flour contains insecticide, deodorant, and deodorant hiba oil, hinokitiol, etc. And deodorant. Moreover, the thing of 0.1-1 mm is used suitably for the particle size of wood flour. As the particle size of the wood powder becomes smaller than 0.1 mm, it is not preferable because the wood powder is likely to be scattered during production of the excrement disposal material and the productivity tends to be low and dust tends to be generated. As it becomes larger than 1 mm, the excrement disposal material tends to be difficult to be granulated during the production of the excrement disposal material.

Examples of the binder clay include kaolinites such as kaolinite and decaitite, halloysites such as metahalloysite and halloysite, serpentine such as chrysotile and antigolite, hydromica such as sericite and sea green stone, bentonite Fine particles mainly composed of aluminosilicate minerals having a layered structure such as montmorillonites such as montmorillonite and beidellite, chlorite such as chlorite and magnesium chlorite, pyrophyllite, talc and vermiculite are used. This is because high plasticity is obtained by adding moisture, and the moldability is excellent. Among them, bentonite is preferably used because it contains montmorillonite, which is a swelling clay mineral, as a main component, and has excellent adhesiveness when containing water and excellent rigidity when dried.

As starch for the binder and its derivatives, starch produced from cereals such as rice, wheat, corn, sweet potatoes, potatoes such as potato, etc., pregelatinized starch produced by heating starch with water, and starch Dextrin produced in this manner, sodium carboxymethyl starch, hydroxypropyl starch, etc. produced by subjecting starch to a predetermined treatment. Starch and its derivatives are easy to granulate because of their high formability and stickiness, and because of their low activity, they do not affect the antibacterial and deodorizing properties of coal ash and wood flour, and these characteristics It is preferably used because it does not inhibit the expression of. In particular, starch is preferred. The starch-containing mixture is heated and kneaded to make the starch alpha, and then granulated and extruded into the atmosphere to break the starch film where the moisture in the raw material is alpha and rapidly evaporate. This is because a porous excrement disposal material excellent in water absorption can be obtained.

Cellulose binder and derivatives thereof include crystalline cellulose, methylcellulose, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, hydroxypropylcellulose, ethylcellulose, carboxymethylcellulose, carboxymethylcellulose calcium, carboxymethylcellulose sodium, cellulose acetate, cellulose acetate phthalate, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose phthalate, hydroxy Propylmethylcellulose acetate / succinate, carboxymethylethylcellulose, piroxylin, crystalline cellulose / sodium carboxymethylcellulose and the like are used. It is because it has shapeability and coal ash and wood flour can be combined. Of these, water-soluble methylcellulose, hydroxypropylmethylcellulose, hydroxypropylcellulose, sodium carboxymethylcellulose and the like are preferably used. This is because it can be formed into various shapes by adding water and kneading.

Invention of Claim 3 of this invention is excrement disposal material compositions, such as a pet of Claim 2, Comprising: (b) Said wood flour 80 with respect to 100 weight part of said coal ash. -120 parts by weight, preferably 90-110 parts by weight, and (c) 10-50 parts by weight, preferably 20-40 parts by weight of the binder.
With this configuration, in addition to the operation obtained in the second aspect, the following operation can be obtained.
(1) It contains 80 to 120 parts by weight of wood flour, preferably 90 to 110 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of coal ash. It is excellent in deodorizing properties, and can be further reduced in weight, thereby improving transportability.
(2) Since the binder contains 10 to 50 parts by weight, preferably 20 to 40 parts by weight, with respect to 100 parts by weight of coal ash, the coal ash and wood flour are combined to obtain optimum mechanical strength. Because it is difficult to break even if a pet or the like steps on it, the replacement frequency can be reduced, it is excellent in economy and workability, and the desired bulk density can be obtained, so an appropriate weight is given to the excrement disposal material, and the pet etc. is excreted. Even if the excrement disposal material laid on a pet toilet container or the like is kicked later, it is difficult to scatter and is excellent in cleanliness.

Here, as content of wood flour, 80-120 weight part with respect to 100 weight part of coal ash, Preferably 90-110 weight part is suitable. As the content of wood flour is less than 90 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of coal ash, the water absorption tends to decrease and the amount of excrement such as urine decreases, and as it exceeds 110 parts by weight, the water absorption Although the properties can be obtained, the bulk density is reduced and the weight is reduced, and there is a tendency that feet of pets are buried or easily scattered around. In particular, when the amount is less than 80 parts by weight or more than 120 parts by weight, these tendencies become remarkable, so that neither is preferable.

The content of one or more binders of clay, starch and derivatives thereof, cellulose and derivatives thereof is 10 to 50 parts by weight, preferably 20 to 40 parts by weight, based on 100 parts by weight of coal ash. . As the binder content becomes less than 20 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of coal ash, the mechanical strength of the granulated product obtained by kneading and granulating the excrement treating agent composition tends to decrease. As the amount exceeds 40 parts by weight, the mechanical strength of the granulated material increases slightly, but the bulk density tends to increase and the weight increases, and the relative amount of coal ash and wood flour decreases and coal ash and There is a tendency for the deodorant and insect repellent properties of wood powder to decrease. In particular, when the amount is less than 10 parts by weight or more than 50 parts by weight, these tendencies become remarkable, so that neither is preferable.

Invention of Claim 4 is the excrement disposal material composition of pet etc. of Claim 2 or 3, Comprising: (d) Water-absorbing polymer powder and / or (e) 1 of cellulose and its derivative (s) It has a structure coated with more than seeds.
With this configuration, in addition to the operation obtained in the second or third aspect, the following operation can be obtained.
(1) Since water-absorbing polymer powder, cellulose and its derivatives are coated, excrement such as excreta excreted on excrement disposal materials laid on pet toilet containers etc. Since the water-absorbing polymer powder applied to spread between the particles can be quickly absorbed and the particles of the excrement treatment material can be bound together to form a lump. It is easy to take out a lump of excrement disposal material that has absorbed excrement and bound to multiple granules, and it can be used without waste without taking out more excrement disposal material than necessary. be able to.

Here, as the water-absorbing polymer powder, a starch-acrylonitrile copolymer hydrolyzate obtained by insolubilizing a water-soluble polymer such as starch-based, carboxymethylcellulose-based, polyacrylic acid-based, or poval-based by a predetermined treatment, A starch-acrylic acid copolymer, a hydrolyzate of methyl methacrylate-vinyl acetate copolymer, a crosslinkable polyvinyl alcohol, a polyacrylic acid copolymer, or the like is used.

As the water-absorbing polymer powder, those having an average particle diameter of 1 to 100 μm are preferably used. As the average particle size becomes smaller than 1 μm, it tends to be scattered during the production of excrement disposal materials, and there is a tendency to lack in productivity and handleability. As the average particle size becomes larger than 100 μm, the surface area of the water-absorbing polymer powder decreases. Therefore, since water absorption tends to decrease, neither is preferable.

As the cellulose to be applied and its derivatives, water-insoluble but swellable carboxymethylcellulose, carboxymethylcellulose calcium, croscarme source sodium, low-substituted carboxymethylcellulose sodium, low-substituted hydroxypropylcellulose, etc. are preferably used. It is done. Because of its excellent water absorption swellability, it increases the absorbability of excrement such as manure on the surface of the granulated product, or the composition surface of the water absorbent polymer powder (particles) when applied together with the water absorbent polymer powder This is because the binding property to the surface) can be improved.

As the cellulose to be applied and derivatives thereof, powders having an average particle diameter of 10 to 1000 μm are preferably used. As the average particle size becomes smaller than 10 μm, the thickness of the coating layer formed of cellulose or the like covering the surface of the granulated material is thin, so excrement spreads one after another through the particles of the excrement treatment material. In addition, the number of granules bound through excrement tends to be too large, and the mass of the granules tends to be too large. The thickness of the coating layer formed in this is so thick that the amount of excreta absorbed is large and the excrement is difficult to spread between the particles of the excrement disposal material, and the number of granules bound through the excrement is small. Since there is a tendency that the mass of the granule becomes too small, neither is preferable.

Invention of Claim 5 is the excrement disposal material composition of pets etc. of Claim 4, Comprising: (d) The said water-absorbing polymer powder 20 with respect to 100 weight part of the said coal ash. ~ 40 parts by weight, preferably 25 to 35 parts by weight and / or (e) 5 to 25 parts by weight of the cellulose and its derivatives, preferably 10 to 20 parts by weight.
With this configuration, in addition to the operation obtained in the fourth aspect, the following operation can be obtained.
(1) The excrement excreted on the excrement disposal material is excreted by applying 20 to 40 parts by weight, preferably 25 to 35 parts by weight of the water-absorbing polymer powder to 100 parts by weight of coal ash. The water-absorbing polymer powder applied to spread between the particles of the treatment material absorbs quickly and binds the particles of the excrement treatment material to each other to form a lump of moderate size. Therefore, it is easy to take out a lump of excrement disposal material that has absorbed excrement such as urine and bound multiple particles and removed it from the toilet container for pets. It can be used without waste without taking it out.
(2) To 100 parts by weight of coal ash, 5 to 25 parts by weight of cellulose and its derivatives, preferably 10 to 20 parts by weight, are applied to excrement excreted on the excrement disposal material. Cellulose and its derivatives applied to spread between the particles of the material can be absorbed quickly and the particles of the excrement disposal material can be bound together to form a moderately sized lump. Therefore, it is easy to take out the lump of excrement disposal material that absorbs excrement such as manure and binds multiple particles, and take out more excrement disposal material than necessary. It can be used without waste. In addition, by being applied together with the water-absorbing polymer powder, the binding property of the water-absorbing polymer powder to the composition surface (particle surface) can be improved, and swelled by absorbing urine. It is possible to prevent the water-absorbing polymer powder from falling off the composition surface and falling into a pet toilet container or the like.

Here, as the coating amount of the water-absorbing polymer powder becomes less than 25 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of coal ash, excreta such as manure excreted on the excrement treatment material is absorbed into the water-absorbing polymer powder. Because it spreads through the particles of the excrement disposal material faster than it is absorbed in the body, the mass of the excrement disposal material bound to each other becomes large, and it is necessary to take the mass out of the pet toilet container The above-mentioned excrement disposal materials are brought out, and the usage amount of the excrement disposal materials tends to increase. As the coating amount of the water-absorbing polymer powder exceeds 35 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of coal ash, excreta such as manure excreted on the excrement disposal material is quickly absorbed by the water-absorbing polymer powder. Therefore, the amount of excrement that spreads between the particles of the excrement disposal material is small, the mass of the excrement disposal material bound by the absorbed excrement becomes small, and the massive excrement treatment that absorbs the excrement Difficult to distinguish between wood and non-absorbed excrement disposal material, and the work of taking out the excrement disposal material (lumps) that have absorbed the excrement out of the toilet container for pets tends to be cumbersome and the workability tends to decrease It is done. In particular, when the amount is less than 20 parts by weight or more than 40 parts by weight, these tendencies tend to be remarkable, and neither is preferable.

As the coating amount of cellulose and its derivatives becomes less than 10 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of coal ash, the excrement such as excreta excreted on the excrement disposal material is earlier than that absorbed by cellulose or the like. Because it spreads through the particles of the excrement disposal material, the mass of the excrement disposal material bound to each other via the excrement becomes larger, and more than necessary when taking the mass out of the pet toilet container There is a tendency to increase the amount of excrement disposal materials to be taken out, and since the binding force is reduced, the clumps are fragile and the excrement disposal materials that absorb the excrement are taken from toilet containers for pets, etc. There is a tendency that it is difficult to take out. As the coating amount of cellulose and the like becomes more than 20 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of coal ash, excrement processing materials are excreted on the excrement processing materials, and excrement such as manure is quickly absorbed by cellulose and the like. The amount of excrement that spreads between the particles of the excrement is small, the lump of the excrement disposal material bound by the absorbed excrement becomes small, and it is not absorbed with the massive excrement disposal material that absorbed the excrement It is difficult to distinguish from the excrement disposal material, and the work of taking out the excrement disposal material (lump) that has absorbed the excrement out of the toilet container for pets is troublesome and tends to reduce workability. In particular, when the amount is less than 5 parts by weight or more than 25 parts by weight, these tendencies are remarkable, so that neither is preferable.

Invention of Claim 6 is the excrement disposal material composition of pets etc. of any one of Claims 2 thru | or 5, Comprising: (f) The structure with which the fibrous body and / or the plaster were applied have.
With this configuration, in addition to the action obtained in any one of claims 2 to 5, the following action is obtained.
(1) Since fibrous bodies and gypsum are applied to the surface of the granule, it is firmly attached to the surface of the granule by adding moisture, so that dust such as coal ash is not generated and is also applied to the feet of pets, etc. It is possible to prevent coal ash and the like from adhering to prevent the floor and the like from becoming dirty.
(2) When the fibrous body or gypsum is applied together with the water-absorbing polymer powder, the fibrous body or gypsum serves as a filler, and the water-absorbing polymer powder is uniformly distributed on the surface of the granule. Can be dispersed and has excellent uniformity.

Here, as the fibrous body, wood pulp, linter pulp, rag pulp, bamboo pulp, bagasse pulp, kenaf pulp, hemp pulp, straw pulp, plant fiber that constitutes bast fiber pulp such as mulberry and mitsumata, coconut fiber, etc. Fruit fibers such as cotton, seed hair fibers such as cotton and kapok, food extraction residues such as tea leaves from which useful materials are extracted and discarded in food factories, etc., or the outer skin of beans such as coffee beans, soybeans, and red beans More than seeds are used. Among them, plant fibers constituting pulp, seed hair fibers such as cotton and kapok, food extraction residues such as discarded tea leaves, and hulls of beans are preferably used. This is because waste materials are used, the waste materials can be effectively used, and are excellent in resource saving and can be stably supplied easily.

A fibrous body having an average length of 0.1 to 1 mm is preferably used. As the average length of the fibrous body becomes shorter than 0.1 mm, it tends to be difficult to form the fibrous body, and as the average length of the fibrous body becomes longer than 1 mm, the fibrous body and the polymer absorber. Since powder and the like are uniformly dispersed and difficult to be mixed and uniform dispersibility tends to decrease, neither is preferable.

As the gypsum, desulfurized gypsum produced as a by-product by mixing calcium carbonate in a desulfurization step of reducing SOx generated from a combustion apparatus such as a power generation apparatus mainly using coal is suitably used. This is because, since it has water absorption, it is firmly bound to the surface of the granule by adding water, and it becomes an effective use of waste that is produced as a by-product and is mostly discarded.

Invention of Claim 7 is the excrement disposal material composition, such as a pet of Claim 6, Comprising: (f) The said fibrous body 0.01 with respect to 100 weight part of the said coal ash. -5 parts by weight, preferably 0.1-1 part by weight and / or (g) 5-25 parts by weight of the gypsum, preferably 10-20 parts by weight.
With this configuration, in addition to the operation obtained in the sixth aspect, the following operation can be obtained.
(1) 0.01 to 5 parts by weight, preferably 0.1 to 1 part by weight and / or 5 to 25 parts by weight of plaster, preferably 10 to 20 parts by weight, are applied to 100 parts by weight of coal ash. Therefore, it can be applied to the entire particle surface of the excrement disposal material, the area where the coal ash etc. is exposed on the surface is small, and the dust such as coal ash can be prevented from being generated, and the pet It is possible to prevent coal ash and the like from adhering to the feet, etc., and to prevent the floor and the like from becoming dirty.
(2) When a fibrous body or gypsum is applied together with a water-absorbing polymer powder or the like, the fibrous body or the like serves as a filler, and the water-absorbing polymer powder or the like can be uniformly dispersed.

Here, as the coating amount of the fibrous body becomes less than 0.1 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of coal ash, the proportion of the excrement disposal material that cannot be coated on the particle surface increases, and the feet of pets and the like There is a tendency to easily become dirty and a tendency to decrease the uniform dispersibility. As the amount exceeds 1 part by weight, a large amount of pill-like aggregates of fibrous bodies tends to be formed during the production of the excrement disposal material. In particular, when the amount is less than 0.01 parts by weight or more than 5 parts by weight, these tendencies become remarkable, so that neither is preferable.

As the amount of gypsum applied becomes less than 10 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of coal ash, it cannot be applied to the entire particle surface of the excrement disposal material, and the area where coal ash and the like are exposed increases. Therefore, dust such as coal ash tends to be easily generated, and coal ash etc. tends to adhere to the feet of pets and the floor tends to become dirty. Not only is it applied, but excess gypsum is generated and easily mixed into excrement disposal materials. Since gypsum absorbs water and generates heat, it absorbs urine from pets and generates heat during use, causing pets to feel uncomfortable. There is a trend. In particular, when the amount is less than 5 parts by weight or more than 25 parts by weight, these tendencies become remarkable, so that neither is preferable.

The invention according to claim 8 of the present invention is a mixture containing (a) coal ash, (b) wood flour and (c) any one or more of clay, starch and derivatives thereof, cellulose and derivatives thereof. A granulation step in which water is added and kneaded and granulated to obtain a granulated product, and the granulated product obtained in the granulation step is mixed with cellulose and its derivatives, water-absorbing polymer powder, fibrous material, and gypsum. And a coating step of coating with at least one of them.
With this configuration, the following effects can be obtained.
(1) Since it has a granulation process in which water is added to a mixture containing coal ash, wood flour, clay, starch, etc. to knead and granulate to obtain a granulated product, it has excellent moldability and has a predetermined shape and size. A granulated product having a thickness can be obtained, and the productivity is excellent.
(2) Since it has a coating process in which the granulated material is applied with at least one of cellulose and its derivatives, water-absorbing polymer powder, fibrous material, and gypsum, it is applied to the surface of the granulated material. One or more of cellulose and its derivatives, water-absorbing polymer powder, and fibrous material can be dispersed and fixed, and an excrement treatment material having excellent absorbability by the action of water-absorbing polymer powder and the like. It can be manufactured, and the surface of the granulated material can be coated with a fibrous body or the like, so that dust such as coal ash is hardly generated, and the comfort is excellent.
(3) By providing a drying process that dries the granulated material after the coating process, the excrement disposal material obtained is bonded before use to prevent problems such as agglomeration or deformation, and handling. An excellent excrement disposal material can be obtained.

Here, as a kneading / granulating apparatus used in the granulating step, a pellet mill such as a shaft center horizontal type, a screw extrusion type extruder or the like is used. Among these, a screw extrusion type extruder is preferably used. Since it has mixing, heating, and pressurization functions, starch is used as a binder, and the mixture is kneaded while heating to make it starch, granulated, and extruded into the atmosphere. This is because it is possible to obtain a porous excreta treating material excellent in water absorption by breaking the starch film in which the moisture has been α and evaporating and expanding rapidly.

As a coating apparatus used in the coating process, a wheel type such as a Simpson mill, a wet pan mill or a speed muller, a ball type such as a rotary mill, a blade type such as a flow jet, a roll type such as a roll mixer, or the like is used.

The amount of water added in the granulation step is preferably 90 to 110 parts by weight with respect to 100 parts by weight of coal ash. As the amount becomes less than 90 parts by weight, kneading tends to be difficult and mixing unevenness tends to occur, and as the amount exceeds 110 parts by weight, moldability tends to be deteriorated.

The granulated product is formed into a flat pellet shape having a minor axis of 4 to 6 mm, a major axis of 6 to 10 mm, and a length of 8 to 15 mm.
Moreover, the excrement disposal material whose bulk density is 0.3-0.5 g / cm < 3 > can be manufactured by passing through the above manufacturing methods.

Since the excrement disposal material in Embodiment 1 is configured as described above, it has the following effects.
(1) Cats, etc. have the habit of kicking the surrounding sand on the soles of the feet after excretion and filling in the dung to hide them, but the shape is 4-6 mm short axis, 6-10 mm long axis, 8-15 mm long Because it is in a flat pellet form, it is easy for cats to kick and bury shit, etc., so that shit can be prevented from being easily covered with excrement disposal materials and exposed, and even if spilled from a container such as a pet toilet Since it is flat, it is difficult to roll, so it is difficult to scatter around, easy to clean, and excellent in hygiene.
(2) Since the shape is relatively large with a minor axis of 4 to 6 mm, a major axis of 6 to 10 mm, and a length of 8 to 15 mm, it is difficult to enter between fingers such as cats. It is possible to prevent the pet from being scattered around the pet toilet container every time it enters and leaves. Also, since it is difficult to enter between the fingers of cats etc., pets etc. flutter their feet trying to remove the excrement disposal material that has entered between the fingers etc., and stir or kick out the laid excrement disposal material It is hard to scatter from the pet toilet etc. to the surroundings.
(3) If excrement disposal material that has absorbed excrement such as pet urine is left for a long time, it will cause bad odor, so it needs to be removed from pet toilet containers etc. Since the major axis is 4 to 6 mm, the major axis is 6 to 10 mm, and the length is 8 to 15 mm, not only the excrement treatment material that has been agglomerated by absorbing and solidifying the excrement, but also excreta excrement that has not been agglomerated It is easy to remove, can prevent the generation of bad odor in the container, and is excellent in comfort.
(4) Since coal ash is contained, antibacterial substances such as boron, halides, ZnO and TiO 2 that have strong antibacterial properties due to the action of ultraviolet rays adhere to the excrement disposal material. Prevents the growth of various germs and pests by excreted urine and is excellent in cleanliness.
(5) Since coal ash has an odor similar to that of soil, small animals such as cats prefer to ride on it and perform excretion.
(6) Since the coal ash has a large self-curing property due to the action of gypsum in the ash, it is possible to impart high mechanical strength to the granulated material by kneading and granulating with water or the like.
(7) Since it contains wood flour, it has excellent water absorption and water retention, as well as excellent insect control and deodorization, can be reduced in weight, and can be incinerated when treated as waste. It is.
(8) Since it contains binders such as clay, starch and derivatives thereof, coal ash, wood powder, etc. are bound to each other by adding water and kneaded to obtain a desired shape and desired bulk density. The excrement disposal material which has can be obtained easily.
(9) Since cellulose and its derivatives, water-absorbing polymer powder, fibrous bodies, etc. are coated, excrement such as excreta excreted on excrement disposal materials laid in a pet toilet container, The water-absorbing polymer powder and the like can quickly absorb the stool from the excrement treatment material and spread it together to bind the excrement treatment material to each other. It is easy to take out a lump of excrement disposal material that has absorbed multiple excretions and bound to the outside of the pet toilet container. The excrement disposal material composition from which the excrement disposal material which can be used is obtained can be provided. Also, since the area where the coal ash is exposed is small, it is possible to prevent the generation of coal ash dust and the adhesion of coal ash etc. to the feet of pets, etc. it can.

(Experimental example 5)
Mixing and granulating using a screw-extrusion type extruder with the same composition as in Experimental Example 3, and changing the nozzle diameter, etc., the short diameter (X) is about 5 mm, the long diameter (Y) is about 5 mm, long After obtaining a granulated product having a thickness (Z) of about 7 mm, a porous excreta treating material of Experimental Example 5 was obtained in the same manner as in Example 1 except that 20 parts by weight of desulfurized gypsum was applied.
(Experimental example 6)
Mixing and granulating using a screw extrusion type extruder with the same composition as in Experimental Example 3, changing the nozzle diameter, etc., the short diameter (X) is about 2 mm, the long diameter (Y) is about 4 mm, long After obtaining a granulated product having a thickness (Z) of about 10 mm, a porous excrement disposal material of Experimental Example 6 was obtained in the same manner as in Example 1 except that 20 parts by weight of desulfurized gypsum was applied.
(Experimental example 7)
By mixing and granulating using a screw extrusion type extruder with the same composition as in Experimental Example 3, changing the nozzle diameter and the like, the short diameter (X) is about 8 mm, the long diameter (Y) is about 12 mm, long After obtaining a granulated product having a thickness (Z) of about 18 mm, a porous excrement disposal material of Experimental Example 7 was obtained in the same manner as in Example 1 except that 20 parts by weight of desulfurized gypsum was applied.

Each excrement disposal material obtained in Experimental Examples 1 to 7 was laid in a separate pet toilet container (box-type container) to a thickness of 10 cm and used as an excrement disposal material for cats. For comparison, a cat excrement disposal material (made of paper and formed in a columnar shape having a diameter of 2 mm and a length of about 5 mm) was also laid in a pet toilet container (hereinafter referred to as a “toilet”). , Referred to as Comparative Example 1). These pet toilet containers were placed in a room at regular intervals, and a cat was released in this room for observation.
The cat excreted manure on the excrement disposal materials of Experimental Examples 1 to 7 and Comparative Example 1. Since the excrement disposal material of Comparative Example 1 has a small diameter, it easily enters between the fingers of the cat, and the excrement disposal material caught between the fingers is scattered in a large amount around the pet toilet container every time the cat enters and exits. Confirmed to do. In addition, cats may flutter their feet trying to remove the excrement disposal material that has entered between the fingers, and the laid excrement disposal material may be stirred or kicked out. It was confirmed. The same thing was observed with the excrement disposal material of Experimental Example 6. Moreover, the excrement disposal material of Experimental Example 5 rolls over a wide range because the short axis and the major axis are the same when the cat flutters his leg and kicks the excrement disposal material out of the pet toilet container. Was observed. On the other hand, in the excrement disposal materials of Experimental Examples 1 to 4 and Experimental Example 7, almost no scattering around the pet toilet container was observed.
Moreover, although the cat excreted manure on the excrement disposal material, in the excrement disposal materials of Experimental Examples 1 to 7, there is no bad odor such as ammonia odor and pests such as flies even after 2 days. It was. On the other hand, a malodor drifted from the excrement disposal material of Comparative Example 1. The amount of manure excreted in the excrement disposal material of Experimental Example 7 was significantly less than the amount of manure excreted in the excrement disposal material of Experimental Examples 1 to 4. Since the excrement disposal material of Experimental Example 7 is large, a large gap is formed between the excrement disposal materials, and the cat's paws are likely to sink into this gap, and when the feces are kicked to fill the excrement, it is significantly larger than the sand. For this reason, it is presumed that there was a sense of incongruity and uncomfortable feeling that the excretion amount was small.
After two days, a lump of excrement disposal material in which excrement such as manure was absorbed and a plurality of granules were bound was taken out of the pet toilet container with a scoop. Regarding the size of the lump, the excrement disposal material of Experimental Example 4 was the largest, followed by the excrement disposal material of Experimental Example 2 and Experimental Example 3, and the excrement disposal material of Experimental Example 1 was the smallest. This is because the water-absorbing polymer powder on the surface of the granules quickly absorbs the excrement excreted on the excrement disposal material and spreads between the particles of the excrement disposal material. It is presumed that the particles of excrement disposal materials can be bound to each other through a CMC or the like that absorbs sucrose to form an appropriately sized lump. As a result, when the lump of excrement disposal material is taken out of the pet toilet container, it can be easily taken out, and it can be used without waste without taking out the excrement disposal material more than necessary. In addition, although the excrement disposal material of Experimental Example 2 was coated with a water-absorbing polymer powder, it was inferred that the water absorption on the particle surface was higher than the excrement disposal material of Example 3, but the binder was bentonite. Yes, in the granulation process, starch is not made porous due to alpha conversion, so water absorption is poor, manure is easy to spread through the particles of excrement treatment materials, and the mass of excrement treatment materials is enlarged I guess that.
As described above, according to this experimental example, even when a pet or the like kicks, excrement disposal materials such as a pet are hardly spilled out of the container from a container such as a pet toilet, and even if spilled, it is difficult to roll and is scattered over a wide range. It has excellent hygiene, antibacterial and deodorizing properties, good transportability, excellent post-processing work, and pets etc. prefer to excrete as if they are playing with sand. It became clear that excrement disposal materials such as pets that are easy to break can be obtained.

The present invention relates to an excrement disposal material such as a pet, and an excrement disposal material composition and a method for producing the excrement disposal material, and the excrement disposal material such as a pet is a container from a container such as a pet toilet even if the pet is kicked.
