Abstract
Description
この発明は、微粒子除去装置に係り、特には、ディーゼル車、発電機、農機具等で用いられるディーゼルエンジン等の内燃機関の排気中に含まれる微粒子をヒータやフィルタに捕捉し、又は捕捉した微粒子を燃焼除去するために用いて好適な微粒子除去装置及び該除去装置を備えるディーゼル車に関する。 The present invention relates to a particulate removal device, and in particular, captures particulates contained in the exhaust of an internal combustion engine such as a diesel engine used in a diesel vehicle, a generator, an agricultural equipment, or the like, or captures the captured particulates. The present invention relates to a particulate removal device suitable for use in combustion removal and a diesel vehicle equipped with the removal device.
Conventionally, attention to the regulation of automobile exhaust gas has been directed to nitrogen oxide (NOx) mainly composed of nitrogen dioxide, which is a carcinogenic substance.
By the way, there are a lot of carbon particulates (so-called black smoke) in the exhaust gas of diesel vehicles, and these carbon particulates flew into the air for a long time after being exhausted into the air through the exhaust passage. In particular, it becomes a kite or the like and falls on the floor, road surface, clothes, etc. By the way, since carbon adsorbs things well, various chemical substances such as carcinogenic substances are adsorbed by carbon fine particles floating in the air, and humans inhale these carbon fine particles into the human body. In recent years, it has been reported that cancer and respiratory diseases are caused.
このようなことから、いまや、窒素酸化物(NOx)に限らず、ディーゼル車からの粒子状物質(PM)の排出規制が重要な課題となっている。そこで、環境空気をディーゼル黒煙汚染から守るものとして、車両搭載のディーゼルエンジンの排気通路に金属繊維やハニカム形状のエレメント等からなる黒煙除去フィルタを設置した黒煙捕集装置が提供されている(例えば、特許文献1及び特許文献2参照)。 For this reason, not only nitrogen oxide (NOx) but also emission control of particulate matter (PM) from diesel vehicles has become an important issue. Therefore, as a means for protecting environmental air from diesel black smoke contamination, there is provided a black smoke collection device in which a black smoke removal filter made of metal fibers, honeycomb-shaped elements, or the like is installed in the exhaust passage of a diesel engine mounted on a vehicle. (For example, refer to Patent Document 1 and Patent Document 2).
However, when this type of black smoke removal filter is used for a long period of time, there is a drawback in that it is clogged by the collected black smoke and pressure loss increases.
As means for resolving clogging of black smoke, diesel particle removal devices that regenerate the filter function by burning trapped particles have been proposed (see, for example,
This type of apparatus includes a cylindrical container having an inlet and an outlet for exhaust gas, a heater provided on the inlet side in the cylindrical container, a porous foam filter disposed adjacent to the subsequent stage of the heater, And a catalyst-carrying filter disposed adjacent to the latter stage of the porous foam filter.
However, although the configuration in which the heater built in the apparatus has a filter regeneration function is ideal, it has the disadvantages that it is complicated and expensive and has poor durability.
On the other hand, even if the filter has not yet been clogged, if exhaust gas containing a large amount of oxygen together with black smoke suddenly flows into the diesel particle removal device, unburned particles will be generated in the diesel particle removal device. A phenomenon called so-called oxygen flash that burns explosively is caused, which may damage the filter and the like.
For example, when the accelerator is depressed after using an exhaust brake that shuts off and brakes on a long downhill, etc., exhaust containing high concentrations (for example, 4 times normal) of oxygen together with diesel particulates When the gas suddenly flows into the diesel particle removing device, diesel particulate combustion occurs explosively and reaches approximately 1500 ° C., so that there is a possibility that, for example, a metal filter is blown out.
この発明は、上述の事情に鑑みてなされたものであって、目詰まりが進行したフィルタを、容易にかつ低コストで、再生できる微粒子除去装置及び該除去装置を備えるディーゼル車を提供することを第1の目的としている。 The present invention has been made in view of the above-described circumstances, and provides a particulate removal device that can easily and inexpensively regenerate a filter that has progressed clogging, and a diesel vehicle including the removal device.

Next, the operation of this example will be described.

When the diesel engine is operated, when the diesel exhaust gas passes through the
