本発明に係る回転カッタ装置は、図3に示すように固定刃53を有する揺動体52を三点で支持し得るように構成したものである。

このように、カッタドラム10をゆっくりと回転操作して揺動体52の揺動の有無を確認するだけの作業で以って、固定刃53の取付角度を簡単かつ正確に調整することができる。さらに固定刃53の刃先を所定の切断地点Pに一致させる調整作業にゲージ類は一切不要である。

その結果、揺動体52は図3に示すようにふたつの接触部P、Pと枢支部Pの三点でガタツキのない状態で再び支持され、固定刃53は所定の切断地点Pに復帰する。
切断作業を再開する場合、揺動体52は自動的に元の位置に復帰するので、固定刃53の取付角度の再調整作業は不要である。

このように固定刃53を揺動可能に構成しても、その揺動中心が変位することがしないので、正確な切断地点を確保できる。

また収容溝52aの側方には、複数の固定用ビス52fが設けてあって、突出量の調整を終えた固定刃53を、収容溝52aの側面に押し付けて固定できるようになっている。
