Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an adapter for an L-shaped wrench, which facilitates mounting thereon an L-shaped wrench of a different size and a different shape, functions to transmit rotational force correctly to the center of the wrench even when rotated by a ratchet handle or the like. <P>SOLUTION: The adapter is made similar in basic structure to a generally available drill chuck and formed such that the center of the L-shaped wrench automatically aligned with the center of the adapter when the L-shaped wrench is mounted thereon. Further the adapter has a rear portion thereof grooved in order to prevent interference thereof with one side of the L-shaped wrench with, and has a hexagonal portion and a square mating portion for mounting the handle thereon. Then when the L-shaped wrench is inserted from the rear portion of the adapter to clamp an outer ring, the wrench is fixed to the adapter, and therefore rotational force can be transmitted correctly to the center of the mounted L-shaped wrench by using a different handle or a different wrench such as a ratchet. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

Description

  The present invention relates to an adapter capable of turning an L-shaped wrench with a ratchet handle or the like.

  If you try to tighten the long side with an L-shaped wrench, the handle side will be the shorter side, so it will be difficult to turn without force, and it will be difficult to apply force precisely to the center.

  Until now, it was gripped with pliers, etc., and pipes were added, but it turned out to be difficult to turn.
