Abstract
Description
TECHNICAL FIELD The present invention relates to a reaction-retarded quicklime used as an additive to improve the quality of contaminated soil and a method for producing the same.
Quicklime is used to detoxify used oil. Since this quicklime easily reacts with water quickly, a reaction-retarded quicklime designed to delay the reaction has been proposed (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
In recent years, with the redevelopment of factory sites, problems of soil contamination due to heavy metals, volatile organic compounds, and specific hazardous substances such as oils have become apparent, and measures to prevent soil contamination are concerned due to concerns about health effects. In February 2003, the Soil Contamination Countermeasures Law was enforced. This soil pollution control law obligates land surveys when abolishing facilities that use hazardous substances, and orders surveys even for facilities that are in use that may cause health damage due to soil contamination. be able to. As a result of the survey, the land where contamination is found is listed as a contaminated area in the designated area register, and the landowner must take necessary countermeasures.
On the other hand, soil contamination due to oils is not included in the above countermeasures, but the oil film and oil odor affect the living environment and are often recognized as soil contamination. It is highly likely that some kind of standard will be designated as a substance. In order to treat oil in such contaminated soil, it is effective to use the aforementioned reaction-retarded quicklime as the oil treating agent. However, a place contaminated with oil or the like often has a large contamination range due to the diffusibility of the oil, and the amount of contaminated soil to be treated may increase. In such a case, the above-mentioned reaction-retarded quicklime is added to the contaminated soil using a contaminated soil treatment machine, and the volatile oil is volatilized from the soil by the heat generated by the neutralization reaction between the quicklime and the water in the contaminated soil. In addition, treatments such as adsorbing oil to quicklime are performed, but the amount of reaction-retarded quicklime increases in accordance with the amount of contaminated soil to be treated. Since this reaction-retarded quicklime is a fine particle, for example, when it is put into the above-mentioned contaminated soil treatment machine, it is likely to be scattered and scattered around the contaminated soil treatment machine and its surroundings. In particular, in the case of weather conditions such as strong winds, the contaminated soil treatment operation may have to be interrupted in order to prevent scattering of reaction-retarded quicklime.

Hereinafter, an embodiment of a reaction-retarded quicklime and a method for producing the same will be described with reference to the drawings.
FIG. 1 is a process diagram showing an embodiment of the method for producing reaction-retarded quicklime of the present invention. In this figure, for example, the particle diameter is 150 μm under and the surface is made of carbon 12 to 24 such as stearic acid or oleic acid Reaction-retarded
As shown in FIG. 2, the reaction-retarded
Next,

By the above-described steps, the powdery reaction-retarded
In the above-described production method, the mixing of
In the granular reaction-retarded quicklime of the present invention, the long chain of starch joins the particles of the reaction-retarded quicklime, so that the long chain can be adjusted by the amount of starch added. In addition, the interparticle strength of the granular reaction-retarded quicklime of the present invention has such a strength that the granular state is maintained even when it is placed in a bag for storage. That is, during mixing and stirring with contaminated soil, the granular state is broken, but normally the shape of the granule is maintained. Furthermore, since starch is used as a binder, safety to human health is high.

Next, the details of each component described above will be described. The

Next, the configuration of the

The contaminated earth and sand introduced into the
CaO + H 2 O → Ca (OH) 2 + reaction heat The entire soil is heated by this reaction heat, so that highly volatile components in the contaminated sediment are volatile and transpiration separated. Is removed from the soil. Quick lime is converted to slaked lime by reacting with moisture contained in the earth and sand, but since slaked lime is very fine particles, its specific surface area is very large. Therefore, the non-volatile components remaining in the earth and sand are attached to and transferred to slaked lime using the mechanical action during the stirring and mixing by the

In the above-described embodiment, an example of detoxifying oil-contaminated soil has been shown, but it can also be used for soil quality improvement.
As the reaction-retarding lime used for the primary mixing described above, stearic acid having a surface coated with a particle size of under 150 μm, soluble starch as starch, and methanol for secondary mixing were used. These were processed in the process shown in FIG.
After putting 10g of reaction-retarded quicklime into a 200mL beaker, 0.5g of soluble starch was added, and these were mixed well with a glass rod.
Next, about 5 mL of methanol was added to the above mixture and stirred. After a while, granules having a maximum particle size of several mm were observed. The granules were evaluated after leaving to evaporate methanol.
The granules did not break easily when pressed with a glass rod. However, it was divided into several when pressed more strongly. In order to make these under 150 μm, it was necessary to press the divided granular material several times.
Similar results were obtained when the amount of soluble starch added was 1 g. Similar results were obtained when starch was added to methanol in advance, and this solution was added to reaction retarding lime and stirred.
