Furthermore in a coastal desert area, hydrogen and oxygen can be produced by electrolyzing seawater by utilizing the generated electricity. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

Description

In order to make effective use of solar cells, a concave mirror is used to focus the light.

Technical background

The price of solar cells is too high for large-scale power generation using solar cells.

Problems to be solved by the invention

Currently, research for obtaining solar cells at low cost is being conducted day and night, and it is likely that dye-sensitized solar cells can be manufactured at a price 1/10 that of silicon type. However, the problem of performance degradation and power generation efficiency due to sunlight has not been solved.
That is, it has not entered the stage of increasing the scale of photovoltaic power generation.

Means for solving the problem

Instead of lowering the unit price of solar cells to lower the cost of power generation, we decided to change the usage of solar cells to lower the cost of power generation.
Specifically, using the principle of the concave mirror, a horizontally long tube is installed in the light converging part of the horizontally long concave mirror, and a solar cell is attached to the light receiving surface of the reflected light to generate power. Uses solar water, sewage, fresh water, etc. to cool solar cells and produce hot water.
If the seawater is seawater, it can be used to improve the efficiency when freshwater is produced using a reverse osmosis membrane, and can be used to produce freshwater by evaporation.
In the case of sewage, fresh water can be produced in the same manner by the permeable membrane and evaporation method.
And if you approximate the utilization rate of solar cells at this time,
For example, when considering a solar panel with a length of 2.5 m and a width of 5 m,
2.5 × 5 = 12.5m 2
The whole solar cell panel becomes a concave mirror, and the solar cell at the focal point of the light is stretched on a tube.
If the length is 10cm and the width is 5m,
0.1 × 5 = 0.5m 2
That is, 12.5 m 2 ÷ 0.5 m 2 = 25
Thus, the utilization rate of solar cells is 25 times.
This means that the price of the solar cell will be 1/25.
In reality, you have to make a concave mirror, but it is simple and easy to understand,
Solar cell (panel) 1m 2 -100W-60,000. Assuming a circle, 0.5 m 2 -30,000. That is, 1.25 kW / H of power is generated by a solar cell of 30,000 yen.

In the coastal desert, a large number of concave mirrors with horizontally long solar cells are installed to generate electricity, and the seawater is electrolyzed with this electricity, and the seawater is supplied to the reverse osmosis membrane with the generated hydrogen and oxygen pressure to produce fresh water. And fresh water is also produced using warm water.
That is, both hydrogen resources and water can be acquired.
