始めに、図1(イ)は、本発明の第1実施例であるケーブルかしめ具付きモジュラプラグコネクタ1の斜視図並びにケーブルかしめ具10の展開図である。展開図から明らかなように、ケーブルかしめ具10は、ケーブル14をかしめる為のかしめ部13と中間連結部12と凹の字形状部11からなり、凹の字形状部11の両サイドには、係止ばね9がそれぞれ設けられている。第1番目としては、プラグハウジング3の開口部5の内側両サイドに係合溝7をそれぞれ設け、凹の字形状部11と中間連結部12とかしめ部13からなるケーブルかしめ具10の凹の字形状部11を先端側にして、前記プラグハウジング3の開口部5の内側両サイドに設けた係合溝7に挿入して係合したケーブルかしめ具付きモジュラプラグコネクタ1である。この場合、ケーブルかしめ具10は、通常使用される金属製のかしめ金具を使用したが、これに限るものではない。また、ケーブルかしめ具10の中間連結部12は、プラグハウジング3との兼ね合いで、中間連結部12をなくして、かしめ部13と凹の字形状部11を直接結合させた構造でも構わない。ケーブルが細い場合には、かしめ部の凸凹の切り込み度合いを変えたり、かしめの材質を硬くすることによって対応が可能になる。
