<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge device that can turn over a camera part on a front face side and on a back face side and can rotatably install the camera part easily to an open/close pivotally attached part by utilizing a conventional opening/closing hinge device, and to provide an electronic device using the hinge device. <P>SOLUTION: The hinge device rotates a first member relatively with respect to a second member. A rotational shaft part 6 is disposed to one first mounting part 5 connected to the first member. A bearing part 8 with which the rotational shaft part 6 is rotatably engaged is disposed to a second mounting part 7 connected to the second member so that the right and left first mounting parts 5 respectively face the right and left second mounting parts 7. 本発明は、例えば第一部材と第二部材との基端部同志を枢着して、双方が重合した閉塞状態から第一部材,第二部材のいずれか一方を所定開放角度まで回動した開放状態に開閉できるヒンジ装置であって、この基端部枢着部に撮影映像を取り組むことができるカメラ部を回動自在に組み込むヒンジ装置並びにこのヒンジ装置を用いた携帯電話,パソコンなどの電子機器に関するものである。

【従来の技術及び発明が解決しようとする課題】
例えば、ノート型と称されるパソコンやワープロ或いは開閉式の携帯電話は、操作部を備えた本体部に対してディスプレイ部を備えた開閉蓋部(重合部)がヒンジ装置を介して起伏開閉自在に設けられているが、この重合部を本体部に伏した閉塞重合状態でこの重合部が勝手に開いてしまうことがないように、閉塞状態を維持する重合保持機能をヒンジ装置に設けている。

即ち、例えばヒンジ装置の回動軸部を軸に互いに相対回動自在に設けられる本体部若しくは重合部の回動と共に回動するカム部と、重合部若しくは本体部の回動と共に回動するカム係合部とを有し、閉塞重合状態となるとき、このカム部に設けた凸部とカム係合部に設けた凹部とが凹凸係合することでこの重合状態が係合保持されるように構成し、また、開放回動時に再び凹凸係合し、所定回動位置が係合保持されるように構成している。

また、一方このようなパソコンや携帯電話などの電子機器においては、デジタルカメラのように写した画像を取り込みデータ保存したり、ディスプレイ部に表示したり、データ送信したりできるカメラ部を備えたものが好評である。このカメラ部は、例えばCCDカメラを組み込んだカメラ部を設け、これを配線するものであるが、これまでは本体部あるいは重合部に単に取り付けていたにすぎないため、カメラ部の向きを自在に変えることはできない。

即ち、これまでのカメラと同様CCDカメラを被写体に向けてシャッタースイッチ(画像記録スイッチ)を操作して撮影する従来通りの固定観念に基づいた構成であるため、例えば重合部の背面にCCDカメラを設けた場合は、相対する被写体を撮る時は、重合部正面のディスプレイ部に写し出されている撮影画像を確認しながらシャッタースイッチを押すことができ便利であるが、自身を撮影する時は、表裏反転させて持ち変え、カメラ部を自身の方にむけるため、ディスプレイ部を見ながら撮影することはできない。

そこで本発明では、このような現状を打破すべく、このカメラ部の向きを向こう側へも手前側へも自在に反転回動できるようにすれば、極めて使い易く、使用用途がひろがり、商品価値が飛躍的に向上することに着眼した。

本発明は、このような技術的課題に取り組む中で、更に開閉回動枢着部にカメラ部を配置すれば、カメラ部の向きを向こう側(背面側)へも手前側(正面側)にも自在に向けて例えば前述したような撮影が常にディスプレイ部に写し出しながら可能であることに着眼すると共に、開閉のためのヒンジ装置に組み込みできる構成とすることで、これを容易に実現できると共に、製作も容易で量産性に秀れた画期的な電子機器を実現できることを見出した。

即ち、本発明は、カメラ部を枢着部に回動自在に組み込むことが実現できるカメラ回動軸部付の開閉ヒンジ装置を実現することで、第一部材と第二部材とを従来通り重合保持機能を発揮させつつ開閉回動できる上、この開閉回動に支障なくカメラ部を回動自在に組み込むことが容易に実現でき、背面側にも正面側にも自在にカメラ向きを変更でき、しかも、このカメラ部をこれまでの開閉ヒンジ装置を利用して開閉枢着部分に容易に回動自在に配設することができる画期的なヒンジ装置並びにヒンジ装置を用いた電子機器を提供することを目的としている。

第一部材2と第二部材4とを枢着し、この第二部材4を第一部材2に対して相対的に回動せしめるヒンジ装置であって、第一部材2に設けた第一取付部5に回動軸部6を設け、第二部材4に設けた第二取付部7に前記回動軸部6が回動自在に係合する軸受部8を設け、前記第一取付部5に前記回動軸部6と共に回動する凸部9Aを有するカム部9若しくは凹部10Aを有するカム係合部10を設け、前記軸受部8と共に回動する凹部10Aを有するカム係合部10若しくは凸部9Aを有するカム部9を前記第二取付部7に設け、この相対回動することで凹凸係合するカム部9,カム係合部10の少なくとも一方を係合離反方向にスライド移動自在に設けると共に、このカム部9,カム係合部10の少なくとも一方が係脱するに際して離反方向に移動した際係合方向に付勢する係合付勢機構11を設けて、前記第一部材2と前記第二部材4とを相対回動して所定回動位置でこのカム部9とカム係合部10とが凹凸係合若しくは係合途中となり、前記係合付勢機構11によりこの係合が保持されるあるいは係合付勢されるように構成し、このカム部9,カム係合部10のいずれか一方を前記係合付勢機構11に抗して離反方向に移動させつつ回動させることで前記カム係合部10に対してカム部9を係脱させ、前記第一部材2に対して前記第二部材4を相対回動するように構成したヒンジ装置において、前記第一取付部5を左右対向状態に設けると共に、前記第二取付部7を左右対向状態に設け、前記第一取付部5と前記第二取付部7とが左右夫々で互いに対向するように構成し、この一方側の第一取付部5に前記回動軸部6を設け、これと対向する一方側の前記第二取付部7に前記回動軸部6が回動自在に係合する前記軸受部8を設けた構成とし、反対側の第一取付部5には前記回動軸部6を設けずに、前記一方側の第一取付部5に設けた回動軸部6と連動回動しないカメラ回動軸部20若しくはカメラ回動軸部20が回動自在に係合するカメラ軸受部21を設け、この第一取付部5と対向する反対側の第二取付部7に前記カメラ軸受部21若しくは前記カメラ回動軸部20を設けた構成とし、前記カメラ回動軸部20若しくは前記カメラ軸受部21に設けるカメラ部23を左右の前記第一取付部5または前記左右の第二取付部7間で、前記第一部材2と前記第二部材4との相対的回動と連動することなく、回動自在となるように構成したことを特徴とするヒンジ装置に係るものである。

本発明の具体的な実施例について図面に基づいて説明する。

本実施例は、図1に示すように、起伏開閉回動型の携帯電話に適用した場合のもので、キー操作部1を備えた本体部を第一部材2とし、ディスプレイ部3(LCD)を備えた開閉蓋部(重合部)を第二部材4とし、この第一部材2と第二部材4とが重合した閉塞状態から第二部材4を立ち上げて開放状態(使用位置)とすることができる枢着構造に本発明のヒンジ装置を適用している(本実施例では左右両側に設けた構成とせず、本ヒンジ装置の左側にのみこの開閉ヒンジ部を設けた構成としている。)。
