Description

【0001】

[0001]
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to an extrusion apparatus capable of removing volatile substances from a thermoplastic resin, and more particularly to an extrusion apparatus for molten resin suitable for pelletizing waste plastic.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Inside the resin extrusion device (screw extrusion device) used for resin molding, there is usually a screw formed in such a shape that the resin is sequentially fed, crushed, kneaded, sealed, degassed, sealed and pressurized. is set up. The degassing in the molten resin extrusion apparatus is performed by sealing the front and back of the degassing section to create a negative pressure so that the resin does not come out, and further performing vacuum pumping from the outside. Unnecessary substances removed by this process are volatile components that volatilize under reduced pressure. Examples of such substances include moisture and residual monomers in the polymer.
[0003]
If you want to improve the mechanical, electrical, thermal properties, etc. of molded products, or if you want to pelletize plastics for recycling, you need to degas enough. The extrusion device is fixed with an exhaust hole (deaeration hole) for degassing that is connected to a vacuum pump for degassing, and only a limited portion of resin around the degassing hole can be degassed. There is a problem that it is difficult to degas.
[0004]
In particular, when producing pellets from recycled plastics as recycled raw materials, a large amount of gas such as water vapor remaining in the molten plastic remains as bubbles in the molten plastic, and shrinks when producing pellets by cutting in water. Water enters the bubbles in the pellet and the moisture value rises. When such pellets are used as raw materials to produce recycled products such as boards, moisture is vaporized by heat during production, and the surface of the boards and the like expands due to this gas pressure, and in some cases breaks bubbles. It may not be possible.
[0005]
In order to perform sufficient degassing, an apparatus that stirs molten resin in a screw extrusion apparatus is known (for example, see Patent Document 1).
[0006]
For the same purpose, there is known an extrusion apparatus for degassing a resin in a semi-gel state, and then vacuum degassing a completely melt-kneaded resin (see, for example, Patent Document 2).
[0007]
Furthermore, in order to improve devolatilization (degassing) efficiency, an apparatus for kneading a devolatilization aid in a thermoplastic resin is known (for example, see Patent Document 3).

[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, although the apparatus described in Patent Document 1 is supposed to improve the deaeration efficiency, it does not collapse the bubbles, so that the bubbles remain and lower the moisture value of the product pellets during the pellet production. Is difficult.
[0012]
Moreover, in the apparatus described in Patent Document 2, although deaeration is performed in two stages, since there is no significant change in the deaeration efficiency in each deaeration hole, it is still difficult to perform sufficient deaeration.
[0013]
Furthermore, in the apparatus described in Patent Document 3, it is necessary to press-in a devolatilization aid into the extrusion apparatus, which complicates the apparatus configuration and is expensive.
[0014]
Therefore, it is difficult to sufficiently degas the molten plastic using a conventional extrusion device without adding a devolatilization aid or the like.
[0015]
Therefore, the object of the present invention is to solve such problems of the prior art and to sufficiently degas the molten plastic, and thereby to produce pellets by extrusion molding using waste plastic as a raw material. An object of the present invention is to provide a molten plastic degassing apparatus capable of producing pellets having a low water content at low cost.
[0016]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
The features of the present invention for solving such problems are as follows.
(1) An extrusion device that performs melt kneading and degassing of a resin by an extrusion mechanism portion using a screw, wherein a wall body surrounding the extrusion mechanism portion at a degassing portion of the extrusion device is made of molten resin. An apparatus for extruding a molten resin, characterized in that it is constituted by an air-permeable exhaust member having a through-hole that does not allow permeation, and can be degassed from the entire periphery of the extrusion mechanism through the exhaust member.
(2) A vent space is formed between the inner wall surface of the degassing part of the extrusion device and the exhaust member, and the molten resin is degassed through the vent space and the exhaust member (1) Degassing apparatus for molten resin as described in 1.
[0017]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In the present invention, on the entire inner wall surface of the degassing part of the molten resin extrusion apparatus having an extrusion mechanism, an exhaust member having a large number of fine through-holes through which gas can pass but molten resin cannot pass is fixed. It is possible to sufficiently degas the molten resin by allowing degassing to be performed from the entire circumference of the extrusion mechanism through the exhaust member.
[0018]
As the through hole of the exhaust member that does not allow the molten resin to permeate, it is also possible to use a through hole manufactured by a method having a through hole in addition to a mechanically formed through hole. The exhaust member is preferably made of metal, but other materials such as ceramics can also be used.
[0019]
First, the whole resin extrusion apparatus is demonstrated.
[0020]
FIG. 1 is an overall schematic view of an example of equipment for producing a pellet by melting and extruding a resin (plan view). 1 includes a motor 1 that rotates a screw (extrusion mechanism) of the extrusion device, a speed reducer 2, an extrusion device cylinder 3 that melts resin (plastic), and a vacuum exhaust pump 4 that exhausts the inside of the extrusion device. It comprises a screen changer 5 that removes foreign matter, a gear pump 6 that adjusts the inlet pressure of the pelletizer, a joint 7 that connects each device, and a pelletizer 8 that produces pellets by extrusion. FIG. 2 is an internal cross-sectional view of the extrusion device cylinder 3 in the screw axis direction. The screw 31 (extrusion mechanism) of the extrusion device cylinder 3 feeds, crushes, kneads, seals, and degasses the resin in order from the upstream side. It has a shape suitable for sealing and pressurization. The plastic raw material thrown into the extrusion device cylinder 3 is fed into the inside by two screws 31 and is finely crushed in the crushing part B and melted by frictional heat generated in the kneading part C. The gas to be discharged is exhausted by the vacuum exhaust pump 4 in the degassing part E, then pressurized by the pressurizing part G, and discharged in the direction of the pelletizer 8. In the pelletizer 8, a die having a predetermined diameter is used to extrude molten plastic into water and cut into a predetermined length to produce pellets.
[0021]
FIG. 3 is an enlarged view of the degassing part of FIG. 2, and is a schematic cross-sectional view showing an embodiment of the molten resin extrusion apparatus of the present invention in which an exhaust member is attached to the degassing part. 4 is a cross-sectional view at the position H in FIG. A ventable exhaust member 32 (porous metal member) having a large number of through holes that do not allow the molten resin to permeate surrounds the screw 31 between the screw 31 and the casing 33 (the wall surface of the extrusion device cylinder 3). Thus, the screw 31 and the casing 33 are fixed along the entire inner surface of the casing 33 without being in direct contact. A plurality of degassing pipes 34 are attached to the casing 33.
[0022]
A degassing method using the apparatus of the present invention will be described. The vacuum exhaust pump 4 is always operated, and the degassing pipe 34, the inside of the casing 33, and the inside of the hole of the exhaust member 32 are always in a vacuum state. Thereby, the hole of the exhaust member is always in a suction state. When the molten plastic containing a gas such as water vapor moves according to the rotation of the screw 31 and comes into contact with the exhaust member 32, degassing is performed quickly over a wide range.
[0023]
It is desirable that the exhaust member secures a ventilation space between the exhaust member and the casing (wall surface of the extrusion device cylinder) so that almost the entire exhaust member can be exhausted. By making the exhaust member a shape that fills the gap between the screw and the casing, the flow path of the molten plastic can be limited, and the degassing of the molten plastic can be performed more sufficiently. Further, the exhaust member needs to be arranged so as not to hinder the movement of the screw. As the exhaust member, one that does not soften at the melting temperature of the plastic must be used, and the diameter of the fine hole is preferably about 10 μm to 1 mm.
[0024]
【The invention's effect】
As described above, according to the present invention, it is possible to sufficiently deaerate molten plastic. For this reason, also when manufacturing pellets by extrusion molding using waste plastic as a raw material, pellets with a low water content can be manufactured, and good plastic recycled products can be manufactured.
