Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a combination terminal fitting which is hard to come off in the case the terminal fitting is deformed.
SOLUTION: The terminal fittings 1, 2 are respectively provided with plate type mounting parts 3, 24, and both mounting parts 3, 24 are mutually assembled because a coupling part 18 of the mounting part 3 is inserted into a slit 14 installed at one mounting part 24 while both mounting parts 3, 24 are piled on each other in the plate thickness direction. At the inner edge part of the slit 14, a backlash stuffing projection 27 is installed. By this, in the case the terminal fittings 1, 2 are deformed beyond the vicinity of the slit 14, the backlash stuffing projection 27 restricts the backlash of the both mounting parts 3, 24, thereby preventing the assembling of both mounting parts 3, 24, from coming off.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

Description

【0001】

Further, a slit 20 that extends in the left-right direction and opens to the right is formed in a region surrounded by the front and rear end edges of the second insertion part 19, the end edges of the flat plate parts 5F and 5R, and the connecting part 18. Is formed. Further, the second receiving plate portion 17 is formed with a rectangular locking hole 21 penetrating vertically, and the upper surface of the second insertion portion 19 is a tapered surface extending from the left end edge to the locking hole 21. 22 is formed.
[0014]
On the other hand, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 3, the terminal fitting 2 assembled on the lower side is obtained by extending the wire connecting portion 4 from the left end portion of the rear end edge of the mounting portion 24 having a plate shape. The connecting portion 4 is formed by raising a front wire barrel 4A for caulking the core wire of the electric wire W and a rear insulation barrel 4B for caulking the coating of the electric wire W one by one to the left and right. The mounting portion 24 connects the pair of front and rear flat plate portions 25F and 25R, the first engagement portion 6 that connects the right end portions of the flat plate portions 25F and 25R, and the left end portions of the flat plate portions 25F and 25R. The second engagement portion 7 is provided, and a mounting hole 8 is provided at the center. The two engaging portions 6 and 7 are obtained by rotating the engaging portions 6 and 7 of the terminal fitting 1 by 180 ° about the front-rear direction axis, The structure around the mounting hole 8 in 24 is generally symmetrical with respect to the longitudinal axis. Further, on both flat plate portions 25F and 25R, contact protrusions 9 are formed by knocking upward in the vicinity of the second engaging portion 7, respectively. In addition, the front portion of the flat plate portion 25F extends forward in a tapered shape, and a plate-like detent portion 26 projects downward from the front end portion. Since the rotation stopper 26 is fitted into a groove (not shown) recessed near the mounting surface, the rotation of the terminal fittings 1 and 2 can be restricted when the bolt is turned. Bolt tightening operation becomes easy.
[0015]
Now, the connecting portions 18 of the mating terminal fittings are inserted into the respective slits 14 of the two terminal fittings 1 and 2, and the mating connecting portions 12 are inserted into the respective slits 20 so as to be engaged with each other. A slight clearance is set between the inner edge portion 20 and the connecting portions 12 and 18 to be inserted. Further, on the inner edges of the flat plates 25F and 25R in the terminal fitting 2 and on the inner edges of the slits 14 and 20, the padding projections 27 are formed so as to protrude inside the slits 14 and 20, respectively. The backlash of the connecting parts 12, 18 in the slits 14, 20 is regulated by contacting the connecting parts 12, 18 into which the plugging protrusions 27 are inserted.
[0016]
Next, the operation of the present invention will be described.
When assembling, first, as shown by an arrow in FIG. 1, the first engagement portions 6 of the two terminal fittings 1 and 2 are respectively connected to the mating mounting holes 8 while the terminal fitting 1 is overlapped on the upper surface of the terminal fitting 2. Enter inside. When the terminal fitting 1 is slid along the plate surface to the left in FIG. 2 with respect to the terminal fitting 2 from this state, the insertion portions 13 and 19 of the terminal fitting 1 are respectively inserted into the insertion portion 13 of the mating terminal fitting 2. , 19 and the locking projection 15 of each first insertion portion 13 rides on the taper surface 22 on the other side, and the first insertion portion 13 is slightly bent and deformed in the thickness direction. On the other hand, the contact protrusions 9 abut against the mating flat plate portions 5F, 5R, 25F, and 25R, so that the flat plate portions 5F, 5R, 25F, and 25R are slightly separated from the mating side, and the both terminal fittings 1 , 2 are elastically deformed to warp each other. When the terminal fittings 1 and 2 are further slid, the insertion portions 13 and 19 are inserted to the positions where they overlap the mating receiving plate portions 11 and 17, respectively, and the connecting portions 12 are inserted into the mating slits 20 respectively. The connecting portion 18 is inserted into the mating slit 14. When the connecting portions 12 and 18 of the terminal fitting 1 enter the slits 14 and 20 of the terminal fitting 2, the leading ends of the padding protrusions 27 provided on the inner edge portions of the slits 14 and 20 come into contact with the connecting portions 12 and 18. The connecting portions 12 and 18 are inserted to the back side while being slightly crushed.
[0017]
Then, when the terminal fittings 1 and 2 reach the proper assembly position where the mounting holes 8 and 8 are aligned, as shown in FIGS. 4 to 6, the first insertion portion 13 that has been bent and deformed in the thickness direction is formed. Is restored and deformed, and the locking projection 15 is fitted into the mating locking hole 21, thereby restricting the sliding of the mounting portions 3, 24 in the opposite direction. 1 and 2 are held so as not to be detached. In this regular assembly state, the first insertion portion 13 of the first engagement portion 6 in each of the terminal fittings 1 and 2 is on the opposite surface side of the second receiving plate portion 17 of the second engagement portion 7 on the other side. The terminal fittings 1 and 2 are prevented from being detached in the thickness direction (vertical direction) by being inserted and engaged. Further, in this assembled state, when viewed from the side, the terminal fittings 1 and 2 are crossed at the portions where the connecting portions 12 and 18 are inserted into the slits 14 and 20, respectively. The loose projections 27 provided on the inner edge portions of the slits 14 and 20 in the terminal fitting 2 are in close contact with the front surface side or the rear surface side of the connecting portion 12 on the mating side, so that the mounting portions 3 and 24 are not rattled. It is regulated.
[0018]
The terminal fittings 1 and 2 assembled as described above are fitted by fitting the rotation-preventing portion 26 into a groove portion (not shown) in the vicinity of the attachment surface and screwing the bolts through the attachment holes 8. It is attached. Until this attachment is completed, it is possible that an unreasonable force is applied to both the terminal fittings 1 and 2 and a part of the terminal fittings 1 and 2 is deformed. In this case, since the meshing portions of the first and second engaging portions 6 and 7 have relatively high strength and are not easily deformed, any one of the flat plate portions 5F, 5R, 25F, and 25R is connected to each connecting portion 12. , 18 is relatively likely to be deformed with the boundary portion as an axis. As an example, FIG. 7 shows a state in which the flat plate portion 25F of the terminal fitting 2 is deformed so as to be inclined downward from the boundary portion with the connecting portions 12 and 18. In this case, since the contact protrusions 9 of the flat plate portions 5F and 25F are separated from the mating flat plate portions 5F and 25F, there is no restriction on the vertical displacement by the contact protrusions 9. However, the stuffing protrusion 27 provided on the inner edge of the slits 14 and 20 wraps around and obliquely below the outer surface of the mating connecting portions 12 and 18 with the deformation of the flat plate portion 25F. Since the stuffing protrusion 27 is located in the vicinity of the axial center of deformation of the flat plate portion 25F, the contact portions 12 and 18 are kept in contact with the connection portions 12 and 18 without being substantially separated from each other. 18 is held almost tightly in the slits 14 and 20, so that the mounting portions 3 and 24 are restricted from rattling up and down with each other (even if shaky, the amount of rattling is slight). . Accordingly, the locking protrusion 15 is prevented from being detached from the mating locking hole 21, and the engaged state of both the engaging portions 6 and 7 can be maintained. Even when the rear end side of the terminal fitting 2 (the electric wire connecting portion 4 and the flat plate portion 25R) is deformed downward, both the attachment portions 3, 3 are formed by the padding protrusions 27 provided on the flat plate portion 25R in the same manner as described above. The rattling of 24 is regulated. Further, even when the flat plate portions 5F and 5R of the terminal fitting 1 are deformed upward, the backlash of the mounting portions 3 and 24 is restricted by the loosening projection 27.
[0019]
As described above, according to the present embodiment, even when the terminal fittings 1 and 2 are deformed from the vicinity of the slits 14 and 20, the backlash projections 27 regulate the rattling of the mounting portions 3 and 24. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the both terminal fittings 1 and 2 from being detached.
Further, since the loose projections 27 are formed on the inner edge portions of the slits 14 and 20 (the front slits in the terminal fitting 2) disposed near the rotation preventing portion 26 in the one mounting portion 24, the rotation preventing Even when the side of the portion 26 is deformed, rattling between the mounting portions 3 and 24 can be restricted, and assembly of the two terminal fittings 1 and 2 can be prevented from being detached.
