従来の発光装置付き靴としては、靴の表面側に配設されるLEDと靴底に配設されるスイッチと、靴底内に埋設される前記LEDの電源となる電池を備えており、スイッチが所定量の荷重を感知すると電池からLEDへ電気が流れてこのLEDを自己発光させるものが開示されている(特許文献1参照)。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
そこで、本発明は、以上のような問題を鑑みてなされたものであり、不使用時、すなわち、靴を履いていない状態における外部からの振動等によって発光して電気を消費することを防止でき、また、使用時であっても靴を履いている人が任意に発光装置を起動又は停止させることができる靴を提供することにある。

以上のような問題点を解決するために本請求項1に係る発明が採った手段は、電池20と、靴底後面21及び靴底側面22配置されてなる発光器30と、発光器30の点灯を制御する制御装置40と、該制御装置40を振動によって起動させる検知スイッチ50とを備えた発光装置付き靴100であって、
靴の外側側面の甲被部分23に、前記電池20からの電力供給を外部から制御できる手動スイッチ60を備えたことを特徴とする発光装置付き靴100、とするものである。

このように外部から発光ユニット70自体の作動を停止できるように形成したことにより、例えば、製品を製造した後、販売店等まで輸送され、靴が店頭に並ぶまでの間は発光ユニット70を作動させずにおくことができる。したがって、その間の電力の消費を防止することができる。特に、輸出入といった長期の輸送時間を有する場合には、電池の消費を完全に抑えることができるので非常に有効である。また、販売された後、使用者が手動スイッチ60で発光ユニット70への電力の供給をコントロールすることで、随時発光ユニット70を作動させたり、停止させたりすることができる。この手動スイッチ60は、靴の外側側面の甲被部分23に設けられているので、履いている状態からかがむだけで容易に手動スイッチ60を切り替えることができる。
