【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、空気調和機の室外ユニットにおける圧縮機運転時の吐出配管系の振動応力低減に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来、圧縮機から熱交換器に至る吐出系配管中に装設されるマフラは、圧縮機の側方位置に配置しているのが一般的であった(例えば特許文献1参照)。

図2は前記特許文献1に記載された従来のマフラ位置を示すものである。図2において、1は圧縮機あり、この圧縮機1には吸入配管2、および吐出配管3が接続されている。前記吐出配管3の途中には吐出配管3より大径で質量も大きいマフラ3aが装設されており、圧縮機1からの冷媒ガスの衝撃的な流れによって発生する騒音を低減する機能を有している。ここでこのマフラ3aは図のように圧縮機1の側方位置に配置する形で吐出配管3の途中に装設している。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、運転によって発生する圧縮機の振動は吐出配管に伝播し、配管も振動させるため、上記従来の構成では振動源である圧縮機の中心から質量の大きいマフラが離れた位置にあるため、貫性モーメントにより配管の振動応力を増大させる傾向にある。この振動応力による配管折れを防止するために、肉厚の厚い配管を使用し応力に対する耐力を上げたり、他の配管と連結部品で連結して振動を減衰させる手段を講じなければならず、価格の高い材料の使用や部材が増えることなどでコストが高くなるという課題を有していた。

本発明はこのような従来の課題を解決するものであり、コスト面でより安価な空気調和機の室外ユニットを提供することを目的とする。

【課題を解決するための手段】
上記課題を解決するために本発明の空気調和機の室外ユニットは、圧縮機から熱交換器に至る吐出系配管中に装設されるマフラ位置を圧縮機投影外郭形状範囲内の上方位置に配置したことを特長とするものである。

上記のように、吐出系配管中に装設されるマフラを圧縮機投影外郭形状範囲内の上方位置に配置することによって振動源である圧縮機中心に近くなり、質量の大きいマフラ装設による貫性モーメント増大影響は抑えられ、吐出配管の要部に発生する振動応力も小さくなるため、配管肉厚を厚くしたり、振動減衰用部材を多用する必要性がなくなるので製造段階での低コスト化が図れる。

以上のように構成された空気調和機の室外ユニットは、質量の高いマフラであっても振動源である圧縮機1の中心に近いため貫性モーメントが小さく、マフラを装設することによる吐出配管の振動応力の増大を抑えることができる。

上記から明らかなように、本発明は、吐出配管3の途中に装設するマフラを圧縮機の投影外郭形状範囲内の上方位置に配置することで、マフラ装設による配管振動応力を低減するもので、この構成によれば、配管肉厚を厚くしたり、振動減衰用部材を多用する必要性がなくなるので製造段階での低コスト化を図ることができるという効果を奏する。
