Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent cost from increasing by solving a problem wherein the vibrational stress of a delivery pipe is increased depending on the position of a muffler 3a installed in a delivery pipe 3 connected to a compressor 1.
SOLUTION: This outdoor unit of an air conditioner is formed such that the muffler 3a is arranged at an upper position within a compressor-projected contour shape. By this, since the muffler is positioned near the center of the compressor as a vibration source and its moment of inertia is reduced, the effect of an increase in vibrational stress on the delivery pipe by the installation of the muffler can be reduced.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI

Description

【0001】

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a reduction in vibration stress of a discharge piping system during compressor operation in an outdoor unit of an air conditioner.
[0002]
[Prior art]
Conventionally, the muffler installed in the discharge system piping from the compressor to the heat exchanger is generally arranged at a side position of the compressor (see, for example, Patent Document 1).
[0003]
FIG. 2 shows a conventional muffler position described in Patent Document 1. In FIG. 2, reference numeral 1 denotes a compressor, and a suction pipe 2 and a discharge pipe 3 are connected to the compressor 1. A muffler 3a having a larger diameter and larger mass than the discharge pipe 3 is installed in the middle of the discharge pipe 3, and has a function of reducing noise generated by the shocking flow of the refrigerant gas from the compressor 1. ing. Here, the muffler 3a is installed in the middle of the discharge pipe 3 so as to be disposed at a side position of the compressor 1 as shown in the figure.
[0004]
[Patent Document 1]
JP-A-9-196514 [0005]
[Problems to be solved by the invention]
However, the compressor vibration generated by the operation propagates to the discharge pipe and also vibrates the pipe. Therefore, in the conventional configuration described above, the large mass muffler is located away from the center of the compressor as the vibration source. There is a tendency to increase the vibration stress of the pipe due to the moment of inertia. In order to prevent pipe breakage due to this vibration stress, it is necessary to use a thick pipe to increase the resistance to stress, or to connect other pipes with connecting parts to attenuate vibrations. There is a problem that the cost increases due to the use of high-cost materials and the increase in the number of members.
[0006]
The present invention solves such a conventional problem, and an object of the present invention is to provide an outdoor unit for an air conditioner that is more inexpensive in terms of cost.
[0007]
[Means for Solving the Problems]
In order to solve the above-described problems, the outdoor unit of the air conditioner of the present invention has the muffler position installed in the discharge system piping from the compressor to the heat exchanger arranged at an upper position in the compressor projected outer shape range. It is characterized by that.
[0008]
As described above, the muffler installed in the discharge system piping is arranged at an upper position within the compressor projection outline shape range, so that it becomes close to the center of the compressor as the vibration source, and through the muffler installation with a large mass. The effect of increasing the moment of inertia is suppressed, and the vibration stress generated in the main part of the discharge pipe is reduced, so there is no need to increase the pipe wall thickness or use many vibration damping members. Can be planned.
[0009]
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
Embodiments of the present invention will be described below with reference to the drawings.
[0010]
(Embodiment)
FIG. 1 is a diagram showing a configuration around a compressor of a refrigeration cycle in an outdoor unit of an air conditioner according to a first embodiment of the present invention. In the figure, the same constituent elements as those in FIG.
[0011]
In FIG. 1, the muffler 3 a is configured to be installed in the middle of the discharge pipe 3 so as to be disposed at an upper position within the projected outline shape range of the compressor 1.
[0012]
Since the outdoor unit of the air conditioner configured as described above is close to the center of the compressor 1 that is a vibration source even if it is a high-mass muffler, the penetrating moment is small, and the discharge pipe is provided by installing the muffler. The increase in vibration stress can be suppressed.
[0013]
【The invention's effect】
As apparent from the above, the present invention reduces the pipe vibration stress due to the muffler installation by arranging the muffler installed in the middle of the discharge pipe 3 at an upper position within the projected outline shape range of the compressor. Thus, according to this configuration, there is no need to increase the thickness of the pipe or to use many vibration damping members, so that the cost can be reduced in the manufacturing stage.
