この発明は、化粧料、特にマスカラや毛染め剤等の液体化粧料の塗布に使用される化粧料塗布体の構造に関する。

【従来の技術】
従来、化粧料、特にマスカラや毛染め剤等の液体化粧料の塗布に使用される化粧料塗布体においては、複数の繊維束を二条の金属芯線間に挟持しつつ螺旋状に捻回することで、該二条の金属芯線から形成される保持軸からその先端を拡開するよう円柱状に該複数の繊維束を保持してなる塗布部が一般的である。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、上記従来の化粧料塗布体において、一度に塗布できるマスカラや毛染め剤等の液体化粧料の量、即ち塗布部の保持しうる液体化粧料の量は、該化粧料塗布体の塗布部を形成する複数の繊維束における繊維の長さに比例するものである。つまり繊維束における繊維の長さが長ければ長いほど液体化粧料が繊維の表面に付着する量は多くなり、その結果、液体化粧料を多くの面積に対し、又は液体化粧料を厚く塗布することができるものとなる。一方、該塗布部を形成する複数の繊維束における繊維の長さが短ければ短いほど液体化粧料が繊維の表面に付着する量は少なくなり、その結果、液体化粧料を小さい面積に対し、又は液体化粧料を薄くしか塗布することができないものである。従って、該化粧料塗布体の塗布部のように円柱状に形成するものでは、塗布部を形成する複数の繊維束の繊維の長さが均一であるので、化粧料塗布体の塗布部は常に一定量の液体化粧料しか保持することができず、液体化粧料の塗布量、即ち化粧料塗布体の塗布部が保持しうる液体化粧料の量を増減することはできないものである。従って、使用者は必要に応じて液体化粧料の塗布を反復したり、また塗布部を扱くことで余分の液体化粧料を除去することが必要となり、使用者にとって非常に煩わしいものである。

また、マスカラや毛染め剤等の液体化粧料の粘性は非常に高いので、塗布面に対して液体化粧料の塗布が終了し、化粧料塗布体の塗布部を塗布面から離脱させる際に、該塗布部の外周面が円柱状ゆえ曲面であると、塗布部と塗布面との接触が面で確保されるので、化粧料塗布体の塗布部が塗布面より円滑に離脱できなくなってしまうため、塗布面に過剰な液体化粧料が残存し、塗布面が荒れてしまう欠点もある。

そのため、複数の繊維束を二条の金属芯線間に挟持しつつ螺旋状に捻回することで、該二条の金属芯線から形成される保持軸からその先端を拡開するように該複数の繊維束を保持してなる塗布部において、この塗布部を正多角柱に切削すると共に、この塗布部の該保持軸に直交する横断面における保持軸の位置を、該横断面における正多角形の外周縁の頂点を結ぶ外接円の中心と一致してなるもの、もしくは塗布部を、該保持軸に直交する横断面において菱形形状となる多角柱に切削すると共に、この塗布部の該保持軸に直交する横断面における保持軸の位置を、当該菱形の対角線の交点としたものが提案されている(特開昭63−111808号)。

上記特開昭63−111808号の場合、確かに保持軸に直交する塗布部横断面における塗布部の外周縁は、正多角形もしくは菱形形状となっているので、まず正多角形となった塗布部横断面における外周縁の頂点では、該塗布部と塗布面との接触が小さく、線に近くなって接触面積が小さくなるので、液体化粧料の塗布が終了し、該塗布部を塗布面から離脱させようとする際には、液体化粧料の切れがよく、過剰な液体化粧料が塗布面に付着することがなくなるため塗布面の表面も滑らかなものとなるものである。

ところが該塗布部においては、保持軸が、その保持軸自体に直交する塗布部横断面において、その正多角形とした外周縁の頂点を結ぶ外接円の中心に一致するように設けられているので、実際塗布面に対して有効に液体化粧料を塗布できるのは、前記横断面において該保持軸から正多角形の各頂点を構成する繊維束の繊維、及び該保持軸から正多角形の各辺への繊維束の繊維だけであって、保持軸がその正多角形の中心に存することから、その繊維の長さの種類は限定されるので、例えば種々の長さを有する睫や毛髪などに対してマスカラや毛染め剤等の液体化粧料を塗布しようとする場合は、従来よりは液体化粧料の塗布量の調節を行うことはできるものの、依然として従来のように反復して液体化粧料を塗布したり、又は必要量だけ保持するように扱いたりする等の作業が必要となる点では変わりがなく、使用者にとって依然として煩わしいものである。又、このことは保持軸に直交する塗布部横断面を菱形形状とした場合にも、その塗布部横断面における外周縁の頂点の形状が2種類となるものの、基本的には前記の横断面を正多角形とする場合と同様の欠点を有するものである。

そこで、この発明は上記従来のものの有する問題を解決するものであり、あらゆる状況において必要且つ適切な液体化粧料の塗布量を調節し、円滑に塗布を行えるようにするものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
そのために、複数の繊維束を二条の金属芯線間に挟持しつつ螺旋状に捻回して形成される、該二条の金属芯線から形成される保持軸と、該保持軸からその先端を拡開するように該複数の繊維束を保持してなる柱状の塗布部において、該柱状の塗布部の軸方向に沿う外周面により正多角柱を形成すると共に、該保持軸に直交する塗布部の横断面において、塗布部を貫通する保持軸の位置を、該塗布部横断面の正多角形である外周縁の頂点を結ぶ外接円の中心より偏位させてなるものである。

【発明の実施の形態】
この発明において、液体化粧料を塗布するに当たって使用する化粧料塗布体の柱状の塗布部において、該柱状の塗布部の軸方向に沿う外周面を正多角柱に形成すると共に、該保持軸に直交する塗布部の横断面において、塗布部を貫通する保持軸の位置を、該塗布部横断面の正多角形である外周縁の頂点を結ぶ外接円の中心より偏位させているので、実際に液体化粧料を塗布する際に使用できる繊維束は、該塗布部横断面の偏位した保持軸から、その正多角形の外周縁各頂点までの長さを有する繊維及び、各頂点間を結ぶ辺又は湾曲した線分までの長さを有する繊維であることとなるので、その繊維の長さの種類が著しく増大し、その結果、この塗布部の液体化粧料の保持できる量は多種に渡ることとなり、塗布能力は著しく増大することとなる。従って、あらゆる塗布面に対して適量の液体化粧料を塗布することができ、また該正多角柱である塗布部の側辺を利用して液体化粧料の切れを良くし、滑らかに液体化粧料を塗布することができるものとなる。

この発明を図に示す実施例により更に説明する。(1)はこの発明の実施例である液体化粧料の化粧料塗布体であり、この化粧料塗布体(1)は、例えばマスカラや毛染め剤等の液体化粧料を貯留する化粧料容器本体(図示せず)に対して脱着自在に螺合するキャップ(2)と一体となるものであって、該キャップ(2)に立設され、シャフト(17)によって固持されている保持軸(3)と、該保持軸(3)の先端に一体に形成される塗布部(4)とから構成されるものである。

そして、該塗布部(4)の横断面(6)の外周縁(7a)を成す正六角形の頂点(8)、即ち該正六角柱の塗布部(4)の側辺(15)を利用することにより、液体化粧料の切れを良くし、滑らかに液体化粧料を塗布することができるものとなる。
