【発明が解決しようとする課題】
上記公知の接続構造を用いる場合、まず、本願の図2に示すように、軒樋3どうしを突き合わせ、ついで図3に示すように、その内側に内継手1を嵌装して軒樋3と軒樋3とを接続する。しかしながら、図3によく示されているように、軒樋3の外側には、突き合わせた端部どうしが継ぎ目Sとなって露出し、見栄えの悪いものとなる。とくに、施工の関係で、軒樋3と軒樋3との間に隙間が生じた場合は、隙間が目立つだけでなく、水垂れの原因ともなる。そこで、本発明は、軒樋どうしを内継手で接続するとともに、見栄えよく、また、水垂れが生じることのない軒樋の接続構造を提供することをその課題とする。

本発明は、上記課題を解決するために、つぎのような技術的手段を講じている。すなわち、本発明によれば、軒樋の前耳に係合する前耳係合部と軒樋の後耳に係合する後耳係合部と、それらと一体的に結合する主体部とからなり、軒樋の内側に当接するとともに、上記軒樋の前耳と後耳とをそれぞれ上記前耳係合部と後耳係合部とによって弾性係合して軒樋どうしを接続する内継手と、上記軒樋の外側に露出する継ぎ目部分を覆うカバー部材とからなる軒樋の接続構造が提供される。このようにすることによって、簡単な構造で軒樋どうしを接続することができるとともに、水垂れが生じることがなく、見栄えよく軒樋を接続することができる。
