【発明の属する技術分野】
本発明は、耳や鼻の清掃をはじめ、機械部品、電子部品等のメンテナンスにも使用可能な綿棒に関するものである。

【従来の技術】
従来の綿棒１ａは、図１１に示すように軸２ａの両端または一端に綿繊維を塊状に巻き付けて綿繊維部３ａを設けたものが一般的な構成となっている。
通常、軸２ａの素材には紙、合成樹脂、木材等が用いられる。
最近では、用途に応じて様々な綿棒が考案され、例えば乳幼児の耳や鼻を清掃するために、軸２ａと綿繊維部３ａを通常のものより細くした、いわゆるベビー綿棒と称されているものが製造されている。
図１２に示すベビー綿棒１ｂで乳幼児の耳や鼻の清掃をする場合、軸２ｂの一端に設けられた綿繊維部３ｂを耳や鼻の中に挿入し、老廃物や異物を綿繊維部３ｂに絡み付かせて取り除いていた。

【発明が解決しようとする課題】
しかしながら、この場合、綿繊維部３ｂに老廃物等を絡ませているだけなので、老廃物等を掻き出す途中で耳や鼻の中に老廃物等を落としてしまったり、奥の方に押し込んでしまったり、うまく取り除けないという欠点があった。
また、耳や鼻の内壁に綿繊維部３ｂを強く擦り過ぎて耳や鼻の粘膜を傷付けてしまうという欠点もあった。
さらに、軸径が細いので、軸２ｂが曲がったり、折れたりして使い勝手が悪いという欠点もあった。
本発明はこれらの欠点を解決するために発明されたものである。

【課題を解決するための手段】
本発明における綿棒の技術的手段は、曲げ弾性率の高い合成樹脂からなる軸の少なくとも中央に偏平部を設けたことにある。

このように構成すると、偏平部の弾力性により軸は容易に湾曲することができ、軸の両端に設けた綿繊維部で老廃物や異物を摘み取ることができる。

【発明の実施の形態】
以下、本発明の実施の形態を図面に基づいて説明する。図１は本発明における第１の実施形態の斜視図を、図４は、その断面図を示す。
この綿棒１は中央に偏平部４を設けた軸２と、その両端に綿繊維が塊状に巻き付けられた綿繊維部３とで構成されている。

軸２の全長（綿棒１の全長）は約８０ｍｍ〜１２０ｍｍ、軸中央の偏平部４の長さは約５０ｍｍ〜９０ｍｍ、綿繊維部近傍の軸５の長さは片側１５ｍｍ前後が望ましい。
綿繊維部近傍の軸径は約０．８ｍｍ〜２ｍｍであり、図４に示すように偏平部４の断面は、短辺４ｘの長さが約０．５ｍｍ〜２ｍｍ、長辺４ｙの長さが約２ｍｍ〜１５ｍｍの矩形形状をしている。
軸２の素材は、ナイロン系樹脂、ポリエチレン系樹脂など曲げ弾性率の高い合成樹脂を用いる。

軸２の両端に設けられた綿繊維部３は、綿繊維を軸２の端部に巻き付け接着することによって形成される。
軸端部に巻き付け接着する綿繊維の厚みは約０．３５ｍｍ以上、綿繊維部３の太さは約１．５ｍｍ〜３ｍｍが好ましい。

本発明は以上の構成からなり、この綿棒１を、例えば乳幼児の耳の清掃に用いる場合について、図１０に基づき以下説明する。
軸２の両端より各々約２０ｍｍの位置２箇所を指で支持し、軸２をＵ字型に湾曲させる。
軸２の両端に設けた綿繊維部３が耳の中に挿入できるように、さらに軸２を湾曲させる。
挿入できたら、軸２の両端に設けた綿繊維部３で耳の中の老廃物等を摘み取り耳から除去する。

図２は本発明における第２の実施形態の斜視図を、図５および図６は、その各部の断面図を示す。
この綿棒１１は、厚さ１４ｘが均一で、長手方向において幅１４ｙが同一な帯状部材１４と、その両端に綿繊維が塊状に巻き付けられた綿繊維部１３とで構成されている。
帯状部材１４の全長（綿棒１１の全長）は約８０ｍｍ〜１２０ｍｍ、厚さ１４ｘが約０．５ｍｍ〜２ｍｍ、幅１４ｙが約２ｍｍ〜５ｍｍである。
帯状部材１４の素材は第１の実施例と同様である。

図６に示すように、綿繊維部１３の断面は略矩形形状をしており、帯状部材１４の端部に巻き付け接着する綿繊維の厚みは約０．５ｍｍ以上であり、短辺１３ｘの長さが約１．５ｍｍ〜３ｍｍ、長辺１３ｙの長さが約３ｍｍ〜６ｍｍであるのが好ましい。
綿棒１１の使用方法は、第１の実施例と同様である。

図３は本発明における第３の実施形態の斜視図を、図７、図８および図９は、その各部の断面図を示す。
この綿棒２１は厚さ２４ｘが均一で、幅が長手方向において中央部より両端の方が小さい帯状部材２２と、その両端に綿繊維が塊状に巻き付けられた綿繊維部２３とで構成されている。
帯状部材２２の全長（綿棒２１の全長）は約８０ｍｍ〜１２０ｍｍ、中央の帯状部材２４の長さは約５０ｍｍ〜９０ｍｍ、綿繊維部近傍の帯状部材２５の長さは片側１５ｍｍ前後が望ましい。
帯状部材２２の厚さ２４ｘは約０．５ｍｍ〜２ｍｍであり、中央の帯状部材の幅２４ｙは約１０ｍｍ〜１５ｍｍ、綿繊維部近傍における帯状部材の幅２５ｙは約２ｍｍ〜５ｍｍである。

本発明の綿棒は、乳幼児や病人の耳や鼻の清掃に使用するのに最適であるが、機械部品や電子部品等のメンテナンスにも使用可能である。

【発明の効果】
以上説明したように、本発明の綿棒は軸中央より湾曲する。従って、乳幼児や病人の耳や鼻を清掃する場合、老廃物や異物を軸両端の綿繊維部で摘み取ることが可能である。
このとき、老廃物や異物は綿繊維に絡みながら軸両端の綿繊維に挟み込まれているので、確実に摘み取ることができる。
そして、本発明の第２の実施形態および第３の実施形態のように軸に帯状部材を用いることで、すなわち軸全体を偏平にすることで軸両端の綿繊維部が互いに面で接触することになり、老廃物や異物を摘み取ることがより確実になる。
また、軸が湾曲するときに適度な復元力が生じるので指で扱い易い。
さらに、従来のように綿繊維部を耳や鼻の粘膜に擦り付ける必要がないので安全である。
